Here's what I came up with for a Draenei BiS profile (seeing that I play one.) If nothing else, it can serve as a template for Draenei if it turns out there's something better.
Does the passive hit for draenei really account completely for the hit on the tunic of failed experiments? Since that's the only major change on this bis list to the original one I'm assuming that's the reason for taking the 4 set bonus which only conditionally increases your melee crit and the haste on the chestpiece over hit...

Dodge?

Hi there.
I was just wondering if I could get some numbers on the worth of our different mitigation stats.
Say Stam is worth 1.0, Mastery is worth 0.89, Parry 0.78 and Dodge is 0.70

These are just numbers. I believe you can get them through SimCraft?
I doesn't work on my computer.

The reason I ask is because I've recently tried wowreforge.com which is still a bit new.
It runs with the same concept as the Rogue Reforger Tool which is mentioned in the Fury Warrior Discussion.
It has worked brilliantly with my Rogue, Mage and Priest as well as my Warrior's Fury Gear.
The Tool is closed as the Creator stopped playing and he redirected us to wowreforge.com.

Now I tried it on my Warrior to see how it was compared to the Reforger tool.
I was in my Tank spec and Gear and the calculations came out with that gear of course.
I noticed I should reforge a lot more Dodge according to the page.

At the moment I go Mastery > Parry > Dodge.
Which means I often reforge Dodge to either Parry or Mastery.
Is this wrong?

Here's my Warrior Ðisturbia @ The Maelstrom - Game - World of Warcraft

Should I do this different from what I have?

No it won't be viable as a DPS Spec and it's not even close. And there is not really a lot that changes.

Killing Machine PPM is and always has been 5 PPM. What you're confusing is the difference between PPM, a game mechanic which sets the chance of a proc using baseline weapon speed, and the observed number of procs in a minute. While getting 6 or 7 KM procs in a minute due to haste and hit, this ought not be called PPM as that is a horribly confusing reuse of notation. Granted, this is a criticism of the use of the expression, rather than the results of anything else in the post.

I think you might be confusing an initialism as somehow having a different meaning than the words it represents. DPS is a similar initialism for a game mechanic. Based on what you just said, if I wanted to say 'DPS increases to 22k while in frost presence' I would instead need to only refer to baseline damage per second as DPS, 'DPS is 15k and increases to 22k damage per second while in frost presence'. Now, I'm a far cry from a leading expert on the proper use of acronyms and initialisms in forums so I very well could be wrong, but this just seems wrong.

Seriously, just read the sentence again with the initialisms spelled out:

First, your procs per minute are off. Special ability hits and haste increase procs per minute, and hit rating below white cap decreases procs per minute. Procs per minute for 1h will probably be from about 6 to 7 depending on gear.

All that changed is that it is now a lot clunkier and longer to read. In fact, I would argue that using the notation in the way you described is far more confusing. Look at the post I was replying to; he was confused by this very fact. He heard KM was 5 PPM and he did his calculations based on that. My interpretation of proper use would be to refer to KM as having a baseline 5 PPM (or 5 BPPM), with PPM simply abbreviating procs per minute in any situation in which it is used.

Now...I wouldn't mind some actual feedback. At least someone that can look at the data and verify parts or other DKs that have been running 2H FP or 1H FP with haste stacked that can share their experiences. I definitely could have made errors or overlooked some important detail, but right now I just don't see it (please share if you do though). I need to get everything sorted out for 4.1 so I can faceroll some logs rankings.

Haste Cap?

As of 4.0.6, do we have any good estimates on haste caps, or when the diminishing returns to increasing haste become so marginal (ie, marginal benefit of additional haste becomes less than or equal to zero) that there is no point gearing or reforging for it? This is for 2H Frost builds.

I have searched this thread for "haste cap" but found no relevant information.

I have seen through 49 completed dungeons (number derived from the last 50 events of my activity feed and excludes partial completion) that it is most definitely viable at 80. If the natural increase of DPS with greater gear over the final five levels does not alter in a significant manner, as you suggest, then what removes the spec from viability as DPS?

Does anyone know if its possible to somehow get simcraft to factor in pet switching for demonology? To be more specific:

Obviously, switching felguard to succubus with a pre-shard is an increase, but I've always been curious about switching around 2 minutes to use the Felguard Demon Soul. All it would need to do would be to factor in the dps the felguard does for 45 seconds compared to the succubus, while adding in the bonus from using demon soul felguard over demon soul succubus. Any idea how i would go about doing this?

Advice Question

Hi there I'm new to the boards. I've done a lot of reading and reforging over and over and I've come up with some questions.

I'm a returning player to WOW after a 3 year break, and I've just recently begun getting more serious player so I'm catching up on the finer details. So I just want to make sure I’m understanding your guidelines correctly.

I've just switched over to combat from Sub after years of running so help boost my DPS. I was having some trouble at first and I'm still fine tuning my personal play.
So from what I'm reading, As a combat Hit is the big factor. Followed by Exp and haste.
And from following the instructions laid out, I should lay off hit once my Yellow<special> is maxed and switch to Exp and haste. But I’ve notice through experimenting that if I keep focusing on Hit and Haste I can get better DPS.

I have alts, but I almost exclusively play my Rogue. So I’ve taken LW and Skinning for getting the best armor I can.
I need to work on my coordination, but I have some ideas to get through them.
I’m still working on getting Reps and such up for best gear and enchants from those as well.

This is my current build: Salohcin @ Perenolde - Game - World of Warcraft

I'm a bit confused as to where I really need to be for stats. If I follow the guide, then I'm way over on Hit and should move a lot back to Exp. But when I do that I find that DPS suffers. I've tried both Reforging tools int he forums and the give different suggestions.

Any advice on where I might look to tweak would be appreciated. Or am I right on track?
