Daellia asks an interesting question. Any time the scale factor of haste is < 56% of the scale factor of SP we should consider the old Wrath +SP glove enchant.
I don't know where Daellia got the scale factor but it seems to me that those are scale factor of intellect not spellpower, i just simulated with Warlock_Affliction_T11_372_PTR and i got normalized scale factor: 1.00 Spellpower 0.63130 Haste, while normalized at 1.00Int 0.7989 Spellpower 0.5044 Haste, so 50 haste enchant is valuable as ~31.57 spellpower, it should still be the best enchant for gloves.
Not confusing Int with SP at all. In the 359 BiS example we have .7679 for SP and .4201 for Haste which is 54.70% Clearly this is a miniscule difference but for all of the min-maxers out there it is still something that isn't listed in the BiS sets even when it might be.
For PVE it seems at ilvl 359 frost DW does more dps than 2H unholy.
However at ilvl 372 2H unholy does more dps than DW frost.
Or does 2H unholy generally does more damage than DW frost due to off hand hit miss?
At the current patch I heard that killing machine does not value as much.
What is the best talent build for pve frost DW for current patch?
For the next patch I heard that the spec priority will change for pve DW frost where haste will be more important than mastery and crit, is this true?
Just a question: I recognized that most of the 359 setups use Incineratus. Regarding the fact that Incineratus (hm) isn't best in slot shouldn't we use Stormwake in the non hardmode BiS setup (either using Wildfire + Bracers of the Bronze Dragonflight or Firelash + Dark Pool)?
I would also change Inscription into BS respectively JC because it allows easier reforging/regemming. Alchemy could also be considered in the 359 environment only due to the Alchemist trinket (int, haste both static) and the flask effect but for 372 the trinket sure scales pretty bad.
I have a question regarding Glyphs unter my very own circumstances. I hope you can help me with this issue.
I was just lucky enough to pick up Akirus 372 at our first kill, as this weapon gives Expertise itself and due to racial (3 exp), i'm ending up with to much exp.
Without reforging I am overcapped (750 rating + 3 exp racial = ~840 rating). If I completly reforge, I end up at 450 rating / 540 rating (with racial). This is all counted without GoSoT. And here is the question:
Is it worth, replacing SoT Glyphe with CS?
- 5% crit to CS
- 300 rating in sec. stats in reforging
So ... I'm not really sure. I do think 300 rating are better dos than 5% crit to CS. What do you think?
1)Flamestrike every 8 sec + singe-target rotation with spreading ignites/lb?
2)Spam Flamestrike (with mage armor?) + keep LB up?
How about combuction(only abberations/only dark phase/by situation) How about LB on adds at last phase? logs here
Maloriak is only one boss which creates problems for me.
add the (heroic) after the item name and everything is fine ^^.
PS: Trial and error... sometimes the item is not found, just use preview item again
PPS: Ok, seems to be more complex. Some items are directly linked to their HM versions whereas others (like stormwake) are not. If you want to use the later ones as HM version add " ( ". It looks like the background implementation then looks for other versions. You can use (heroic) (hardmode) (whatever) and it will look the version up. I haven't found how to link the items directly linked to the HM ones to their normal ones yet.
hey guys, unfortunately i cant create a new thread thus having to post here.
my question is with regards to ignite munching.
i dont really get the entire mechanic.
say for instance we have the following scenario: at second 0 something crits for 10k and we dont have ignite on the npc, then 40% so 4k in this case wander into the ignite pool. now we got 4k which tick evenly spread at second 2 and 4 if nothing happens afterwards. Now lets say at second 1 we have another crit with 10k. what exactly happens now?
Do another 4k wander into the ignite pool? due to the new dot mechanic shipped with cata the next tick happens at second 2 and ignite now lasts until second 6. But whats the number which it ticks for? Do the other 4k from second 1 already affect the tick from ignite at second 2 or not? or does the tick at second 2 happen with 2k as nothing would have happend and the other 2k in the pool add to the 4k from second 1, thus now having 6k which spread evenly to tick for 3k at second 4 and 6?
another possibility would be that the dot at second 2 is already affected by the crit from second 1 so we have 8k divided by 3 ticks hence 2.666k at second 2 4 and 6.
now to make it more complicated^^ some pyro crits for 100k at second 1.5. shouldnt this crit add 40k to the ignitepool thus the dot ticks for 16k at second 2 4 and 6?
PS: ok differently put; why does this
- Ignite must be below 4s in current duration to accept any new refresh events.
follow from the new DOT refresh mechanic? or in other words: why does the crit adds to the ignite pool if the duration is less than 4sec but not if its between 4 and 6 seconds left. couldnt u just say add the crit amout to the pool as well?
