Are there any thoughts on using Claws of Agony over Maimgor's Bite in conjunction with Claws of Torment? Being hit capped without Maimgor's, would the set bonus on Claws > Maimgor? Kind of confused on which route to go.
Hello, I have some terrible problems with my Enhshim.
So I'm asking if some kind person could run a sim on this setup chardev 8 - WoW Cataclysm
Its a bit more optimized for a orc shaman. I've tweaked it many times to optimize the hit rating and expertise rating for all orc shamans out there. Gave the char jewelcrafting and enchanting since its the professions I have.
But know I want to see how it turned out, but with my Enhsim being broken I'm not getting any luck.
Think this has not been mentioned yet about Valiona and Theralion. When killing Valiona you can impact on her and if she's tanked right beneath Theralion it will affect him. However, this only works in some cases. I think they have to be tanked right on top of each other. There were times when I could see it not working, and that was because they were slightly further away. When Theralion lands though I'm not sure if it one can impact off him, as Valiona will be flying around and it's not worth to focus on it. Just use LB as usual.
well, got some questions for everyone around as long as i cant refer to the creator of the threat!
1st of all,at DW why Set items ( chest head ) are better than the crafetd chest and dragonBone helm? the non set items are really boosting mstery which is the Main stat (except strngth ofc),maybe some of u will annswear "because of the fourth set item bonus" ,Well if 4 set item bonus is sooo important why DW=2H..... when in 2h your primary stat is Haste? u get 4set items bonus WITH your primary stat!
i am atm DW FULL mastery (20.05) with all the right caps ofc and my dps is up to 18-19k onky when runes have good mood! sometimes i press the exactly same buttons at the same fight and no killing machine no rimes, down to 12k..can any1 explain this to me plz?
and smthing else, at 2h if u hold Ashkandi OR if u manage to get the right hit cap why to use Lisence to Slay instead of crushing Weight? i think LTS get u 380strght while CW gets u 320 !And imba proc
Btw can any1 who uses the 4set item bonus tells me if its really worths it?
As noted elsewhere, whether it's worth recasting DoTs in the presence of additional buffs is difficult to determine ahead of time to get a piece of "when X procs, you should always recast Y" style advice that is always correct because there are a lot of factors involved and the answer may change rapidly in real-time. It would be possible to make an arbitrarily complex decision process in Simcraft, or perhaps in-game if you were willing to write/find an add-on to take the information into account, but other than that you'll have to use a rule of thumb, such as the one you're already using. It's fairly easy to test such schemes in Simcraft, but I would suggest only testing something you think you could actually perform in the heat of battle. You'll note that the current Simcraft thread priority lists do not attempt to make use of such buffs in this way.
Procs are usually taken into account at the end of a cast. An exception to this rule is that haste effects and casting time effects must be present before you start casting to affect the cast itself (i.e. if you proc haste in the middle of a cast, it will not make that cast quicker.) If a haste proc occurs while casting a DoT (such as Immolate) then the cast itself will not benefit, but the DoT does.
When you clip a DoT it adds the duration after the next tick of the current DoT, which means that the perfect time (from an uptime & efficiency point of view) to refresh a DoT is any time between its second to last and last tick, remembering to account for the effect of Haste on tick interval. For example, Immolate ticks every 3 seconds and is effected by haste, so with 0 haste the perfect time to re-apply it is within 3 seconds of the end of the duration, and with 50% haste it's any time within 2 seconds of the end, etc.
thanks a lot for that reply VoidStar. It have really helped me clear my head (:
I'll be trying to see if I can find out how to get simcraft to work how I want it to, and will post if I get any succesfull results.
What you're saying about procs is what I thought it to be, thanks for confirming that!
My guild is trying Heroic Maloriak and I've noticed a few people mention they spread combustion to the vile swills off of Maloriak himself. How are you avoiding pulling threat immediately? Do you spread via impact then go invisi before continuing your aoe rotation? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Ive been trying to find out what the best fighting rotation of my abilities are and so far I've read Garrote or mutilate first followed by, SnD, Mutilate x4, rupture and envenom. there also have been others I've read but with little variance. Ive also read that you should start from stealth... you can't open with garrote or mutilate while in stealth are you just supposed to voluntarily come out of stealth before your first attack?? Other questions I have is I have the talent "Blackjack" which puts an 8 sec 70% doable damage debuff on your target after sap wears off, do I have to wait for it to completely wear off? can I interrupt it with an attack and will it still apply the debuff? does the enemy have to be targeting me whiled sapped for them to receive the debuff when it wears off? Last question is has anyone tried to open with cheap shot, mutilate, SnD, Vanish, and then cheap shot again? I've tried on NPC's and the second cheap shot doesn't work for some reason...auto attack shouldn't be stopping it because damage doesn't break cheap shot. If I can work everything out I plan to open with sap, interrupt it with cheap shop or wait for sap to wear off then cheap shot followed by mutilate, SnD, Vanish, cheap shot, mutilate x?, rupture and envenom. if I could get cheap shot to work the second time in my rotation i wouldn't need sap at the beginning. The whole point is to be able to attack someone for 8 sec without them being able to do anything about it or attack someone for 4 secs followed by them loosing 70% doable damage for 8 secs. I'm only interested in a rotation for PvP and not fighting more than one enemy at a time. I've come up with a few macros to keep pets and minions at bay for a short while with kick and gouge while fighting the main toon. Any info or constructive criticism helps thx. sorry for the long post
So what is the best single target threat rotation ?
Shield slam / revenge / rend (if 30%) / shockwave / Conblow / Dev / HS extra rage
Or is conblow and shockwave cut out of it these days ? I have seen both posted in here. Im thinking that the first is the way to go just looking for somone that knows the math a bit better in cata then me.
Ok so i've read over and over and over again, and everyone keeps giving these big complicated confusing answers. Is it worth it to transfer mastery points into expertise points? Is expertise something I should mess with at all? In Layman's terms please.
