I may be missing something, but with the RB 20% increase gone, I don't see how the mastery nerf is a scaling buff. We simply lost 6 mastery points, nothing else changed.
Since mastery itself is a multiplicitave stat, it doesn't increase liniarly.
if I have 10 points of mastery from my gear in 4.0.6 and 8 points from the innitial gain, without my gear I would have 8*5.6% for an increase of 44.8%, making my base enrage multiplier 144.8%. After adding my 10 points from gear, which give me a 56% addition, i now have 200.8% from my base. We take 200.8/144.8 = 1.387. Thus, my 10 mastery points gave me a 138.7% buff to my base enrage.
if I have 10 mastery points from my gear, and without it I only have 2, I would see a base enrage multiplier of 11.2% making my base enrage 111.2%. Add to it 56% from my gear's 10 points and we have 167.2. 167.2/111.2 = 1.504. So, my 10 points of mastery would now give me a 150.4% buff to my base enrage.
So each point of mastery now becomes slightly more valuable than it was (with that value weakening as the stat stacks) because each point gives an additive bonus to a percent multiplier. So it scales in that each point of mastery gives us a bigger bonus comparitively than it did when we started at a higher base, even if the result is a lower total enrage multipler.
yea, i raid in a 25 man so buffs arent an issue. I guess i prefer surv > mm for movement fights though cuz the rotation needs less attention and i can focus my awareness on the aspects of the fight. But as for MM i feel like hard casting AiS is better always unless you have to move, not just better during CA or haste effects
Even on Halfus HM Smite Spam is only properly working after the 2nd add has been killed. (25 HM) Before that its way too weak. Even with 2 Pally and one other disc the Heal where not strong enought to upp the Tank reasonably good.
So we had to Shield/GH/Pendance the Tanks al the time. But after that, Smite roxx.
I was on 80% Mana at the end of the fight when everyone else was OOM for a while
I love 2 Smite ! and therefore I hope Blizz gives us some more Love !

I understand most of the forum but I am at a loss of how to get Inq up before hitting CS ? I don't see a way... Sorry if I seem like a complete noob stool for this. lol it would greatly increase my Dps if I knew how to do this though .
