Also, use the spreadsheet to import your character and see where your DPS moves with either of those items.

Maybe a better question would be "of these 2 items, which is better with my current kit". But that again, could be answered by you importing your character into the spreadsheet.

I currently use the Frost-bound bracer's, and the spreadsheet is telling me only the Fluxing Energy Coils are better; but, thats my kit.

Skipping out on Imp Slam is a mistake. You can drop the commanding presence by two points at least, or drop 1-2 from the Weapon Mastery depending on where your stats are headed.

If it was so easy to model a complete BiS set, then the initial set wouldn't have needed to be posted here either for everyone to see, because people could just look for themselves in the spreadsheet.
It's quite a big help for non-hardmode raiders to know what optimal gear set outside of hardmode raids they should aim for eventually.

The argument that "it hasn't been done in the past" is just crap tbh.. So you're saying we should never do anything new and just stick to the old ways? The difficulties in the game varies as well as the game and players themselves, if more and more people feel they aren't able to experience the hardest stuff available, then why shouldn't this thread expand itself to include them also? Afterall we all just want to become our best within our limits - and in that sense this thread is still sticking to it's topic - best POSSIBLE dps (for those that can't do hardmode also now).

So for those that cant get into uld they should also post here? What about people that don't raid I suppose they should pose a BIS list from heroics and such. Oh but wait what about BOEs from uld can they use those?

Hello Shandara for your nice spread sheet.
The cool down of Chimera Shot was reduced from 10s to 6s after patch 3.1.
To make things a little confusing the tool tip of the shot displayed by wowhead shows still of 10s. By clicking the link one can see the cooldown of 6s (Chimera Shot - Spell - World of Warcraft).
Please change it in your next update.

What do you guys think about 23/5/43 ? I like it more than any deeper spec, though Frost was quite nice. The World of Warcraft Armory

Pros compared to deep UH:
- Good AoE threat.
- Higher health than regular Unholy, with selfhealing ability on 40 sec CD.
- Spell Deflection

Cons:
- Lower single target TPS (has only been a problem on Vezax for me so far)

Any comments?

I'm not sure what you're referring to, the CD has always been 10 seconds, and it's still 10 seconds on live. I also clicked the link and it clearly says 10 second cooldown.

Where did you get the 6 second CD information.

Edit: I see it now under Spell Detail. This seems to me like bug since the tool tip still says 10 seconds. Is there anyone on PTR that can confirm this change?

In order to better reward players for completing hard mode encounters in 10-player Ulduar, we will be updating weapon rewards from these hard mode encounters to an item level of 232 in the next minor patch. Players already with these items should see an increase in the power of these items to better reflect the new item level.

i checked ptr today and changed stats in the gear sheet for my [The Masticator] and [Combatant's Bootblade] to the new ilvl 232 ones, which puts them ahead of [Insanity's Grip] and Delirium's Touch/[Golem-Shard Sticker]

I am Very new to this whole dk tank thing. My main was a warrior tank and couldnt figure out how to control multi mobs over 2 or 3 aoe dps doing over 3k.. so i decided to do the Dk tank. right now im a 52/8/11 build and it is GREAT for survivability but i am still lacking <though not as badly> the ability to hold enough AoE threat in raids. so i was thinking about going to a Unholy tank build but am VERY lost on just how to distribute my tallent points. the character is Rebornith on aerie peak and its a night elf. if anyone could offer some assistance that would be MUCH appreciated.

The 15% haste is, and always was, Auto Shot haste only. It doesn't effect spells.

i been following these fourms for a while now and i need to ask for some advise, I cant seem to get my dps higher than 3k. i have hit 4k a few times but i have to say its mostly 3k, if some one could take a look at my spec, gear and gems and tell me where im messed up at i would appreciate it very much.

This is absolutely NOT true. Take off all your gear except your ranged weapon, respec if you're BM, and your Steady Shot cast time (NOT the tooltip, the tooltip does not reflect haste changes) will be about 1.7.

While I would change your proffesions, which would also change your gemming very slightly, it would not significantly impact your dps from being that low. Your gear is fine, your spec is cookie cutter survival, so I can only imagine your priority rotation is bad, or your group isn't debuffing the mob or buffing you properly. Can you link a wws or similar report?

Well on first glance I don't think gear is your issue. You have good gear, properly gemmed, you have the hit cap and the cookie cutter spec.

Now we moves onto the intangables.

1) Are your buffs all there when raiding?
2) Are you always flasked/blackend dragonfined?
3) (something I had never before considered till this post) How is your latency?
4) Do you use the proper rotation?
5) Do you clip your explosion shots?
6) Are you managing your debuffs? (BA, SrS etc)
7) What pet do you use?
8) Both your professions are gathering. If you have a crafting profession (or 2) you open up better enchants/gems on certain slots.
9) Party makeup also is important. Again as mentioned to me, sunders and other armor affecting debuffs help a lot.
10) Do you move around a lot, or generally stand still?

To relate, I generally do between 3600-4400. We have few warriors, I do not (as of yet) use haste potions. My latency is usually very bad (around 200 on average). And have a few slot issues (blue head piece losing 100+dps delta according to the spreadsheet).

I don't know what this is supposed to mean. Do you mean rotation? Or priority? And what do "AS" and "MS" mean in this context? You shouldn't ever be using Arcane shot. And there is no reason to use Multi-Shot as a standard part of your priority system if you have Aimed Shot. And did you mean BA instead of BW?
