DOH! I was doing this in WoLK, took a break for a while and totally forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder!

hello,
just wanted to ask if i'm the only one who's getting a higer DPS for frost DW while in unholy presence, stacking haste. i'm sorry, but i have no simulation-craft for this, just testing on the dummy and in raids.
thank you.

Hey,
This evening I have been testing SMF a bit since I got myself a second 1hander.
Then when testing I wondered if it was dps increase if I would hardcast slam every free gcd in the rotation like this:
BT-> RB -> BT -> Hardcast Slam -> Repeat
I got this idea since hardcasting slam takes between 1,1 and 1,3 seconds on average while I was testing, so it fits in perfectly in the free gcd.
Pro: half the rage cost of HS, and quite a bit more dmg
Con: delays auto attack by about 1,2 seconds
On a dummy it improved my dps slightly, but Im wondering if anyone can do some real testing/number crunching.

Thank you for the reply. IceHud looks cool, but I already have a movable focus bar. My intention was to be able to know when the buff hits, without having to scrutinize my focus bar to determine if extra focus has been granted randomly.

Where in the "BIS list" is Maimgor's Bite situated? Is it one of the best for non-heroic weapons?

yes it sims higher then all other 359 options (including simming higher then the claws of agony combo w/proc) and would probably not be replaced with the exception of the axe from heroic nef or maybe 2200 arena offhands depending on how those sim
in short it is the best 359

As Affliction, should I worry about my Succubus' mana? I did some testing on a dummy and noticed that she ran out about 4 minutes in. I could re-summon her to get her back to full, but I'm not sure if that's worth it. I'm not 85 yet either, so I'm not sure if this is a problem later on.

Thanks a ton! Luckily I was able to sell both of those trinkets because PToM dropped off Nef tonight.
Copied and pasted in my notes for future reference. <3

The JC market is completely failing on my server and has been for a month, cut blues are almost impossible to shift with the even the 'core' red cuts going for a pittance, the only revenue i really have at the moment is flipping uncut greens listed at 8,99,99 or less - which is a lot because the uncut greens market is nonexistant, even the zephyrites, nightstones and jaspers which should have had their value protected by the daily have dropped to 7-9g, 8-11g and 8-11 and elementium and obsidium are just not cheap enough for me to justify prospecting them when i have a bank full of uncut and cut blue and green gems which i am considering cutting and vendoring en masse as it stands because no players will pay anything for them

This may sound a bit silly, but I was curious about the exact interaction between mastery and efflorescence. I searched this thread but didn't find anything specific. Does efflor get to double dip on symbiosis? The efflorescence heal amount is based on your swiftmend heal amount, which by definition benefits from symbiosis since there must be a HoT on the target in order to cast it. However, once the efflorescence is out, do the individual ticks get adjusted by mastery if there is still a HoT on the target?
EDIT: for reference, I use (and believe it to be the optimal setup) click-to-heal binds because it leaves my left hand free to move out of fire, etc. while I am casting instant cast spells. Right click is rejuv, wheel down is swiftmend, wheel up is decurse, etc.

I've discovered an interesting pecularity about dw frost spec (dunno if somebody mentioned it previously). I did calculations with kahorie for my current gear (reforge to mastery, minimum haste etc, the standard one) and got around 20k, then i did full haste reforge(2200 haste) and unholy presence- which resulted in 21k. I was kind of imperssed and decided to go to a dummy for testing. After hours of testing i figured out that standard reforge and etc gave me about 13-14k dps on a dummy (4 minutes fight) and "the haste style" resulted in 14-15k. So i decided to share this one with u. Any thoughts?

Am I the only Ret who sees more benefit losing 4 set?
If as a ret, you had your 2 set of Helm/shoulders/legs for hit then 2 set from tank legs/chest/shoulders and the pvp gloves... Would this not be an overall DPS boost? the heroic tank chest has more strength as does legs, the legs would be the lesser choice since they have both parry/dodge to be forged off, but then w/ the pvp gloves your set bonuses would be 10% templar's verdict 15% addtnl damage on crusader strike, and overall more strength. You will lose crit/haste etc, but for now, it seems viable to strive for the 15% addtnl damage of crusader strike versus the extra 10 seconds on inquisition.

hehe, now i've read it and he recommends haste stacking too, but my point is if u have enough haste- and 2400 in 372 ilvl gear can be easily achieved- staying all the time in unholy presence(not only hero) may be a dps increase over frost presence. This is the new info that needs double checking.
