My Felhunter was not able to attack anything in Nefarian's Phase 2 lava. The succubus had no problems smacking Nefarian around during that phase prior to 4.1 and to add injury upon insult, the Felhunter died twice in the lava.
The only time I perceived the Felhunter being more vulnerable to death was during 5-mans and dying during the "Fuck melee, get owned" parts. The Succubus was more immune to these due to Lash of Pain having an absurd range.
Then maybe we are missing some vital part of that "highest DPS" Please, more info needed from other locks
I'm fury and I'd like some opinions about my case:
I tried building my gear avoiding/reforging as much as possible both haste and mastery. and I was including RB in my rotation. Usually my DPS was lower than other warriors with same or even less gear/stats.
As RB damage were substantially lower than BT, Slam and HS (except during my DPS cooldowns), i removed that from my rotation and changed my reforges from Hit to Crit when possible. And i saw something like 15-20% increase in my DPS against bosses (BH was my base parameter for DPS until now). My main caps (expertise and soft hit) are preserved.
I don't have complete data, my findings were done exclusively by rough observation at Recount. My gear has 6 346's, but this rough measure was done when I had 7 (Pauldrons of High Requiem were replaced wednesday by Skullpiercer Pauldrons).
Now I'm raiding with my guild, and I think my gear should change. Would this kind of gear settings/reforges be viable? And could RB be excluded from rotation if I forget mastery at all?
There's a problem with comparing FI favorably to UE though. It's not that one is bad and the other is good. They're both bad.
UE is a hps and hpm loss compared to casting any other heal in the same time, even in the best possible scenario (right before a NS+GHW). It's useful for movement phases though, when SWG is on cooldown.
Seriously Jessamy, you need to stop talking about that which you know nothing about, UE is a very decent spell when used correctly particularly when you know where there is plenty of predictable damage coming through and it increases the following spell.
You would know this if you had actually killed either Cho'gall or Nef on even Normal mode, so please stop giving people bad advice.
I know that you should have hit cap, but the confusing part is that it's not posted what hit cap is (for dw frost). Can someone please tell me what I should be aiming for? Thanks!
As DW Frost you Have Nerves of Cold Steel, that means you have 3% hit for free when you equip 2 1h-weapons, to your question: the rating you should aimed is 601, the rest you don´t need reforge in exp, mastery or haste.
Specific Stat Weights
Level 88 Boss Avoidance
Avoidance % Avoidance to Rating Effective Requirement
1H Yellow Swing Miss 8% (120.109 * 5) 601 Hit Rating and Nerves of Cold Steel
Haste - According my numbers 2324 haste is needed to hit this "soft cap". The soft cap being the point at which a single rune comes off cooldown to line up with the GCD in perfect sync. Yes this will GCD cap us during haste buffs like hero/lust. RE/RIME/KM procs will also effect this soft cap. My calculations are ignoring all of these things. I don't know if this is the best way to figure all of this, which is why I am posting here.
I know what the sims are saying and I understand everyone is working hard to figure this all out, but going by this build I am seeing better numbers than anything else I have tried including what is posted in the original post. I would love to hear what the community has to say.
sounds like a good number to aim for.
did i miss it, how does the 4set bonus for our teir gear work. does it just work when our blood runes refresh or does it work off of only the KM procs for frosty DKs?
" Item - Death Knight T11 DPS 4P Bonus
Each time you gain a Death Rune or trigger your Killing Machine talent, you also gain 1% increased attack power for 30 sec. Stacks up to 3 times."
These numbers only show the number of times a specific action is used in that rotation, not the actual castsequence of its use.
If that were true you wouldn't have comments like "Replace the 2nd AS with Kill Shot/Instant AI" after the rotation because if you did something like a CS-AI-SSx2-AI-SSx2 (which has been a rotation in this thread in the past) You wouldn't be focus starved enough to have to replace anything with Instants since they cost no Focus.
It seems hes intending CS-AIx2 to be the rotation and its ridiculous.
Assuming that threathold is solid, and rotation is set, what ilvl is recomended for tanking, in order to not give your healer an anurizm from keeping you alive? I have tryed at difrent ilvls in difrent dificultys for multiple expansions, and have found that tanking you tend to just die if your gear isnt good enuf, for cata heroics this is definatly not at the ilvl your alowed in at.
