You should update the post to a 4.1, with the change to both Word of Glory and Rebuke.
Since patch 4.1 rebuke will always hit making rebuke a VERY reliable interrupt, even with no hit or expertise raiting
World of Warcraft Client Patch 4.1.0 - Last Updated Wednesday, April 28, 2011
All non-damaging interrupts off the global cooldown will now always hit the target. This includes Pummel, Shield Bash, Kick, Mind Freeze, Rebuke, Skull Bash, Counterspell, Wind Shear, Solar Beam, Silencing Shot, and related player pet abilities.
I've read through here many times, and cannot seem to come to a solid answer. I've gotten to where I can have zero expertise on my gear, but felt that was just overkill, so I put a slight bit back on. Equal to about.25%. Now after running BWD/BOT, I noticed that I'm not getting any dodges or parries, whether in back or on the side, but I am getting a huge amount of blocks. In reading the OP, it says not to build for expertise unless cycle stability issues, which seemed to be a little bit of the problem last night. Envenom not always landing, and mutilate hitting armor, or at least the sound of it. Also to note, we had no one applying the 12% armor debuff. No warrior, and I forget what other class can provide it w/out a dps loss. My question is, should I start putting expertise back on gear? Or is it from not having the armor debuff up? Why so many blocks? All I have to look at is Recount. And that is really unreliable.
JW wut i iz sposd too be using fo my off hand in my unholy tank spek in 4.1
I was JW if pets are gonna get a revizamp on they graphics? Cous I want an arcaneshark pet. Also i this where I should ask about the arcane mage rotation? Also Im lvl sexty too and I cant q for heroics? wut do? lawl. Dat new boy money Illuzinairy bag mafia.
Wasn't he trying to do it the other way round? First use Heart Strike and then use Blood Tap - I think this is pretty senseless though...
Or maybe I'm missing your point, Crushern?
I noticed my threat on the pickup of 3 or 4 (or more) Mobs in heroics (mostly in ZA/ZG) has become a little low since the DS change. Especially when I'm in a guild group with 3 crazy AoE-Classes (Cat is insane since 4.1 imho). I have a second spec for those heroics (and even for the Halfus heroic encounter - but imho it's almost always better to DS instead of using LB+DC there when you're tanking whelps + 2 dragons, therefore I have always specced into more AoE threat for this particular fight) where I didn't pick up Lichborne but spent my points for AoE threat.
Has anyone else noticed something similar? Or is it just that my damage dealers are to good for me? :P
I haven't noticed anything to that effect. I ran 2 bear runs last night (didn't kill the last bosses on 1 of them) where myself and the 3 dps were over 20k dps on every pull (except bosses, I was only roughly 12-15k there) and had no issues. We did not have a Tricks or MD in the group, but we did have a mage (invis). The only times pickups tend to be difficult is with Fury Warriors, Frost DKs, or Hunters who seem to have misplaced their MD macros.
EDIT: This is extremely embarrassing. I obviously wasn't even remotely close to thinking clearly. It was just something I noticed, and I didn't even think to consider something as simple as that. Thanks for clearing up such a fatuous question.
I'm not quite sure whether there's something major I have missed, or if I have stumbled across some sort of bug:
Whenever I enter combat and use my first Obliterate (after applying Outbreak), it somehow seems to consume 3 runes instead of just an unholy/frost rune; it's always 2 frost runes + 1 unholy rune.
This rarely happens outside that first Obliterate, since I seldom wind up with 2 frost + 1 unholy up at the same time. However, if I let runes recharge to 2 frost + 1 unholy runes while in combat, it'll occasionally consume 3 runes, but at other times just one of each unholy/frost.
Anybody else experiencing this?
Do you have Pillar of Frost bound to Outbreak/Obliterate?
Well it was pretty plain and simple before 4.1., PW:S was the only thing to do, to get the most efficiency out of healing... It is not that i know how it works, it is not that i measured values, it was the result. Results were (before 4.1) already on WoL. So as far as i understood from wol parses the tactics for disc were : cast IF on self 30 secs before the aoe, pws 23 player up to 25 and instant absorb up to 700k (also utilize pw:b meanwhile).. then use shadowfiend instead of IF and again pws all players before aoe damage (goes on... use hyms, innervate, mana tide totems and spam pws right before aoe, reuse cds) Personally i used smite as a filler in between, as blanketing 25 players pretty consumes mana.. (i am not mentioning other things to cast cause they are not worth mentioning)
So 4.1 came and i am thinking to abandon disc spec seriously. I even didnt understand the nerf. My best guess that blizz wants disc to PvP most of the time... and use dungeon finder tools time to time, perhaps 10 men raids (as u can blanket 10 player in 15 seconds), so it is ok to sacrifise 25 men for discs, druid will do the job anyway. Most probably it was the easiest thing to do, just nerf the duration of the shield... No need extra coding, idk, no need to change more than 1 parameter and all, no need to even revise mastery lol.. Haven't tried poh yet, but i really dont think poh will be back..
So this is pretty it for disc now... It is the restoration druids time till next patch lol (see wol)
Either it varies with gear, or I'm superstitiously concluding my results because I've tried hit over haste several times in the past few days and it's always around 4k lower single target as smf. Of course, even reforging out of hit I have almost 11% anyways.
