Well your macros only function if you are not in defensive stance (which sometimes happens)

#showtooltip Mortal Strike
/cast [nostance:3] Berserker Stance; [stance:3] Mortal Strike
Macros like that do work always because they one half is always True.

Also i use Overpower and Rend on the same Button, because you use Rend only very marginal in Raids.

#showtooltip [mod:Alt-Ctrl] Rend; Overpower
/cast [nostance:1] Battle Stance; [mod:Alt-Ctrl, stance:1] Rend; [stance:1] Overpower
Alt-Ctrl is Alt Gr Button, you can also use Shift; Alt; Ctrl as Modifiers. This is beneficial if you play with WASD (my move buttons are ZGHJ)

Upon further investigation I realized that using this macro will actually make Slam a one press cast. Having stance requirements causes it to be a double click (or at least the ones I tried from this thread).
#showtooltip Slam
/cast Berserker Stance
/cast Slam

Are you sure though, that if Slam is started casting in Battle Trance and switched in Berserk AFTER the start of the cast, it will actually benefit from the 5% Berserker Stance?
You can not actually cast anything while Slam is channeling. This can be tested easily by taking Improved Slam out of your spec and casting it on its ~1.5sec cast. If you're still uneasy about it, do some slams on a target dummy in defensive stance and compare the numbers to Slams switching stances with the macro.

Whitefyst,

As per MMO-Champions, these are the set bonuses for Hunters for T12:

Hunter 2 Pieces - Your Steady Shot and Cobra Shot have a 10% chance to trigger a Flaming Arrow, dealing X% instant weapon damage as Fire.

Hunter 4 Pieces - You have a 10% chance from your autoshots to make your next shot cost no focus.

I replaced the 0% with an X because as of right now we don't know what the percentage rate will be until people report back from the 4.2 PTR while wearing at least the 2 piece.

I hope this helps.

any chance that the 2 piece bonus will make blood-caked blade worth the 3 points?
the two extra diseases would buff BCB to 75% weapon damage (25% + 4*12,5%)

I can confirm that MS is gets the 10% bonus from Berserker Stance if cast with this macro:

/cast Berserker Stance
/cast Mortal Strike
At least on the Boss dummy.

With those macros you just have to smash the buttons with abilities with stance requirements twice, the other Abilities work with 1 hit and you get the full benefit from Berserker Stance. As well you use your ability if your stances are on CD (what is better a 0.5 Sec delayed MS but 4.76% stronger, or a MS without delay but no benefit from Berserker Stance?)

I still like this macro more for Overpower (it feels smoother):

/cast [nostance:1] Battle Stance; Overpower

So, what exactly am I doing wrong?

So I finally decided to use Rawr to try to improve my measly DPS.

I play a fire mage.

So I load my character through the Rawr Addon.

Click Optimize - first thing is a list of gems and enchants that are not supported. E.g., Hurricane.

Why are there so many (I had like 5) things not supported.

So next, I try to optimize.

For DPS.

So Rawr recommends that I replace my 359 gear, with my PVP gear (346, mind you). And reforge and regem EVERYTHING for hit (way, way, way beyond 17%) and haste.

Again, what am i doing wrong?

To polish it off, non of the 353 gear appears on the list....

You may want to try and refresh the item cache. This can be done by doing the following:
1) Load up Rawr
2) Click Options
3) Click Reset Item Cache

This should hopefully address all of those issues. You will need to reload your toon after this as well.

I'd be inclined to disagree there, I can't think of very many fights where you get enough benefit out of the movement speed increase. Most fights involve moving out of something with a 10yard radius. By my calculation, you move to a point 10 yards away approximately one tenth of a second faster with lavawalker than if you didn't have it. The benefit of haste or mastery instead may be small, but I think they outweigh lavawalker (especially haste, and ESPECIALLY if your class prioritizes haste over mastery).

step back

hei guys,
you are usually discussing about what is ahead of us, but I'd like to step back to 4.1 since I have some issue to share.

Patch 4.1 introduced some changes in mastery and I tried a new configuration and a new healing mechanics. I'd like to know your opionions about that.

Consider that my holy pally is not full epic yet and still engaged in finishing normal raids (nefarian is missing). Item lvl is 356. If you like my armory is here
Here are my choises.

Stats priority.

not considering INT and SPI, obviously the two most important stats,

HASTE was at the top: i used item with haste and not with mastery; i reforged all mastery and crit in haste.
Now, as patch 4.1, i've reduced haste to 10% unbuffed (to get 15% in raid and to have the additional ticks for Holy Radiance)

MASTERY after patch 4.1 is above haste to me. I use now item with mastery and reforge all crit in mastery (and also all haste over my cap of 10%).

CRIT was, is and will be reduced to minimum.

Healing mechanics.

before 4.1 I healed this way:
1) Beacon is on the tank. always
2) HoPo is used for WoG on the player who needs instant heals (LoD is situational and rare)
3) DL is the main healing spell. FoL is used only if tank is very low (in order to proc HoPo for WoG)
4) Judgement and HS is casted every cd
5) Holy Light is rarely casted
6) HR is used rarely, just when mana is not a problem or when party is in serious danger (with DF in this case)
7) gliphed LoH is used every fight as mana regen
8) gliphed Divine Plea is used every fight when there's some seconds to do it
9) Hand of Sacrifice on tank is used as damage reduction (pity that combat log does not recognize it as healing done . It works well with Divine Protection and PotI

after 4.1 i'm doing as follows:
1) Beacon is still on tank
2) HoPo is used for WoG on tank but I try to use as often as i can LoD on party because of the shield coming from mastery
3) DL is still the main spell on tank. FoL is banned but for emergencies (FoL also reduces the effect of the mastery shield)
4) HS is spammed all around (to use the t11 effects and because of shield). Judgement is still critical
5) HL got some reasons why now. Casted on raid member (absolutely not on tank) it does some heals and it procs the mastery shield

All that said, I see that my output is growing but i still cant understand if all this changes are worth the efforts. Anyway, since Blizzard created mastery, I guess it's better make use of it.

I really appeciate any comments and opinions about this.

ps
It's very hard to follow all the posts on this great forum, expecially considering that i'm not speaking english as main language. So excuse me if I covered issues or asked questions already discussed elsewhere.

Hi, i got a question regarding the optimal use of soulswap.
Im in a discussion which method is better for max dps on 2 targets.

1. Soulswapping everytime to refresh corruption.
2. Refreshing dots manually on both targets to no lose a tick of ua and the extra ticks of agony (with agony glyphed)

due to login problems on eu servers i cant test this with actual data, but my math looks like this:

Soulswap costs 2 globas, if u do it manually u have to use 1gcd for corruption, 1 gcd ua, 3/4 gcd on agony (-0,5s talented).

basically soulswap wins 3/4 global every time, but:

u also lose 1 tick of ua (uptime 15s but u refresh at 18s) and 8s of glyphed bane of agony

so is 3/4 gcd + soulswap dmg > 1 tick ua + 8s boa ?

correct me plz if my math fails at some point or if something is missing in the calculation

However, it hasn't been updated in ages. Most regular unit frames should allow you to do that though. Alternatively, you could try one of various HUD mods.
Think i recall that name, might very well be the exact addon i was looking for. Thank you, we'll see if i can find a suitable replacement if this guy stopped working on it.

So, i'm playing SMF and i'm still unsure about hit & haste.
Landsoul seems to be stacking hit, up to 1350.

Question: should I reforge into hit or haste?

Hit is pretty much always a better way to increase white damage than Haste. At least until much higher gear levels I would think.

This is a rather contrived straw-man argument: the movement speed increase is beneficial in most situations where one must move during combat, and in the current raid environment there's a lot of movement that certainly isn't limited to "moving out of something with a 10yard radius". And besides, even if it were, one tenth of a second may be enough to save you from death (and may do so many times during an encounter), while you'd be hard pressed to claim that the difference in value between Mastery and Haste Rating could have anywhere near such a significant effect.

I've seen several reports recently of having problems with loading characters from Rawr addon. You may want to try loading from battle.net instead.
