And I'm saying that's a decorative "buff" or "change" at best because both HPS and HPM of that lifebloom only reaches full potential if the fight deals very predictable, and very light spell damage, to very few targets. Take it to extreme, if I give you a spell that heals for 1000 after 20 second for 1 mana, will you spam it? The fights that you use it will be fights in which GCDs are useless, as well as having predictable/light/few target AoE damage. On fights where there are intensive healing, you will use other abilities to maximize your HPS and GCD(which is also tied to HPS)
I completely agree with this post, we can in theory find some utility for bloom in pve, for example casting LB somehow that it bloom at right moment in Loatheb fight. But to be honest if not all,in most of encounters there are much more useful spells for druid and other classes that can be used for more effective (in terms of mana,GCD,or just topping on healing meters) raid healing.i am sure if we cast random LF on raid members there will be some lucky blooms that heal a player just in time they get damage but its not very reliable way.
many of above posters argued about what is or isnt the most effective way of heal per GCD, but blizz already mentioned they dont want healing to be limited to GCDs, they said they want to make more thoughtful healing and they even will nerf mana regen to make us make a decisions and not just spam our heals as fast as we can. BUT they are also making encounters harder(and that mean more intensive healing=more effective use of GCDs). Also we saw OOC mana regen nerf that will not affect healing spam per GCD at all and they dont want mana to be serious problem for us either. looking at all these, i cant understand what blizzard really intended to do.
personally i dont like idea of keep rolling 3x LB on tanks because that need special attention to some healing tools and limit our actions. It look like blizzard designers also dont like that and they mentioned it before. I think this recent nerf is not good approach for what they want.
I've been a destruction Lok for a long time now and starting to get frustrated with Wtlk and all of these confused specs.
I think Wtlk screwed big time destructon loks and i'm beggining to get quite frustrated t lose in dps agaist hunters and warriors in my guild they do around 6.5k dps sometimes higher and it seems they barely do any effort for it.
Hope any of you guys could help me as i'm the only raiding lok in my guild atm and it's kind of hard to share experiences with others so hope anybody can help i read a post about a lok that did 5.8k in patchwerk i've been trying to do the same and can only reach to 4.8 with potion of wild magic and stuff didn't have a boomkin at the time as he's been slaking in raids and it's hard to test your dps.
my rotation is COC/COA/Chaos Bolt/Immulate/Conflagrate/Incinerate or soul firex3 untill chaos bolt of CD and Conglagrate of CD as well and than Repeat.
My Glyphs are imp Imulate and Conflagrate
Another problem that arises with the Hunger for Blood change is with Expose Armor. Due to the change on EA it does make it easier to maintain now. The problem happens that we have to replace rupture in our rotation for EA. So while the change to EA is a good thing, the change to requiring a mutilate rogue requiring a bleed effect nullifies that change overall.
You're going to tell me that in a 25 man (hell, even a 10 man), not one raider will be putting up a bleed affect? Please use these forums for what they are and stop QQ'ing about something that won't hurt us in the least. It's bad enough reading the public WoW forums all day at work, but when I come home and hope to read some constructive feedback on EJ threads and instead get greeted with stupid QQ like this, it makes it frustrating.
Since it is my first post in here I would like to get a help in my DPS. Am well geared and affli/destru spec but cant go higher than 3.2k dps on test dummy don't know why. Using Imo/CoA/SL glyphs and using the normal rotation SB at the start and other lock is getting 3.6k dps steady. thank you
recently specced to DW frost/frost unholy - 34/37.I am really happy with it, but i've yet to come up with a rotation; and i would have a few questions reguarding gems and to be more precise -which gems should i go for?I also wanted to ask which is the first stat to go and try cap it-i've heard alot of people that it would be hit;if so whats that cap and what are the next stats i should go for. Here is the armory link for my DK.Thanks alot and i'm waiting to be enlightened The World of Warcraft Armory
I did a lot of testing on a deep Frost builds especially the nerf to Howling Blast and I have to say it is not worth picking up from what I can tell. I found putting that last couple of points into Unholy to get down to Unholy Blight offers more dps than taking Howling Blast. I hope Blizzard reconsiders change the damage back to Double damage while Frost Fever is active but leaving it as a 51 talent point. Then it would probably be worth taking.
im making a gnome death knight! woohoo. i was wondering if anyone could give me a link to some AEP values for Death Knights (not sure if AEP is the correct term for DKs, thats what it is for my rogue).
i use the Pawn mod on my rogue to easily place a value on a piece of armor, it makes it alot easier to compare pieces. i would like to put in some good values for my Death Knight while leveling to make picking quest items a bit quicker.
i tried understanding this thread "DK Stat Weights: A Derivation (Now with more spreadsheets!)" but that was way over my head.
edit: im leveling full unholy with a 2-hander atm, its really nice for AoEing lots of mobs for quests.
