Hi guys
I respeced to combat spec and got few questions:
1. Should i keep rupture all time, as we know it doesnt give any advantage from talents except some more dmg from it. If i should keep with how many CP.
2. Should i use Reveling Strike for Rupture (always using Reveling Strike with 4 CP)? Or better for Evi
3. When you guys useing KS? Every CD or after RvS to finish with evi after KS?
Thanks

With the changes to Arcane Blast's cast time and the devalue of Haste Rating, how does Orc fair against Troll for 4.1's Arcane?

The fact is its not absurd that hit is more valuable than haste. I know that the inclination for a lot of people is to think that past 8 percent haste is more valuable because it affects both offhand AND mainhand autoattacks, whereas hit will only benefit offhand. However, what you have to remember is that hit is also pushing miss off the combat table for your offhand, meaning your offhand crits more, meaning more rage gain/flurry uptime.

Hit benefits both your weapons, but it stops affecting special attacks past 8% (where haste never did anything to special attacks to begin with).
You will not see any increase in crit by increasing hit, unless you happen to be crit-capped (which you wont be any time soon in this expansion, if at all).

Hello everyone!

Did any of you tried the Mr. Robot optimizer? Site suggest me to reforge mainly into mastery and crt. According to femaledwarf.com it was around 200 dps increase for me. But from the other hand it's big news for me that mastery became so important stat for us.

Have anyone did some serious testing?

Critical Hit

I think there's another thing you must take into consideration about the crit part. Maybe you only deal 150% damage with most of your attacks, but some attacks gives additional combo-points when they crit. This makes me sometimes use 2 Mutilates instead of 3 before I have 5 combo points.

As of 4.1 which fury spec is doing the best dps? I have 2x Zulian Slasher's for SMF and also have 2x Jeklik's Smashers for TG. My main Warrior character is a human, so I'd also be getting the Mace Spec racial w/ the Jeklik's.

Fury pvp

I think that Fury now is viable.... But I think that Arms... And i have seen some pretty nice things with Prot also... might be a better choice.

I'm confused why anyone is even bothering with this argument anymore. The last several pages have been exclusively a ping-pong of CortDK advocating a thesis that everyone else seems to consider wrong/unsubstanciated/flimsy, and everyone else trying to demonstrate that he's wrong.

There is practically nothing new in this conversation, and the man clearly will not be convinced. Let him support his unpopular oppinion that DW is somehow better than 2H despite the glaring evidence and move on. This discussion is evolving into near-trolling.

my main spec is prot but has gone downhill since the expansion so i decided to go dps for dungeons and raids. i now respect fury to arms to do bg. so the question is, can i still be arms in dungeons and raids and do i stay with weapon and shield in both dungeons and bg

A Tip For Frost PVP/PVE Players

A tip for frost DKs who pvp and pve. DO NOT Dual wield in pvp. Basically what you need in pvp is big burst damage correct? So, in esscense, to use a two hander and stack mastery is the proper way to do things, because stacking crit is almost useless due to killing machine, so when stacking mastery and killing machine procs with a two hand weapon, thats BIG dmage with Frost Strike/Obliterate. Also pertaining to talents, if you are dual wielding in PVE, looks like youre going to have to say goodbye to your blood/unholy offspec, because you're going to want Might Of The Frozen Wastes. You would also have to respec for On A Pale Horse because for battlegrounds this is a very nice talent, but not SUPER necessary. On the other hand, 2H Dks already most likely wont have to worry about respeccing. also make sure to get the Death Grip Talent in the unholy tree and [Glyph of Resilient Grip]
and [Glyph of Death Grip]

Another nice thing to note, this can also serve as a hybrid PVP/kiting spec, as chillblains is quite dandy for PVP, but you will need [Glyph of Howling Blast] in the spec. Also for kiting improving your Death and Decay is a smart decision aswell.

These are the three yard movement hops you use to avoid a seed on Ascendant Council P3, or a Fireball on Halfus. These are the bolts that you can't being casting because you used two instants while moving and now have "wasted" GCD before you can begin doing anything stationary again.

Only looking for the gaps in a fight where you have nothing else to do completely misses the point. There is a reason we cast Lightning Bolt instead of all those other spells normally -- it is a higher DPS output, that doesn't change just because we start moving. If you really want to see the DPS difference, look at the fights you are stationary on (Argaloth, arguably Chimaeron?) and compare it to any other fight's DPS number. That gap you see is the movement penalty, and between this glyph and our T12 4PC, that gap essentially vanishes.
Completely agree. I'm honestly a bit shocked to hear of any elemental shaman who isn't absolutely thrilled over the prospect of being able to cast our most-used spell while moving. Yeah, we have spells we can use while running around dodging fire and whatnot, but the only reason we cast those is because we can't cast LB.

That is a lot of inactivity and I was a good 2k dps behind being in FP. Obviously anecdotal evidence, but a pretty massive indicator of something being different.
yes i found this to be true as well. the extra ability (BS) that i am no longer using while in UP forces me to sit idle for a few seconds quite often. This leads me to believe that blizzard saw that and forces players in UP to stack massive amounts of haste to compensate for that loss.

stacking haste first in 359 gear i see gaps in my abilities and while this seems like it lets me rest for a second or gives me breathing room for mistakes it actually leaves me lacking in the dps department from only auto attacking. It seems that UP was designed (and frost spec modified for DW) to be in FP since UH spec has ScS to single rune compensate for the haste wait gap as well as DW staying in FP (most fights have more than 1 target as it is and especially in heroic modes - not going to list them).

i personally found it more beneficial to stack mastery (after the previous caps) and stay in FP. I seem to gain at least 400 dps on even single target fights and roughly 1200-1500 on multi target fights. Sure who am I right? but even still if i hit even more than the primary target with diseases i come out ahead since HB applies full disease damage vs pest spread for FF.

I have the 353 mace out of ZA I believe was where I got it from and the boe axe from BWD. So, with the mace on I'm at 30/26 expertise. And I don't have the funds currently to put landslide on that weapon right now so I'm sticking with torment + maimgor's bite.

I have a raid tonight so I'll go get totally to hit cap for spells and be under exp (I'll be behind em anyways so shouldn't matter much) and see how it goes. Thanks.
