Hi guys does anyone know where a bis list can be found? I am wondering what's better, the ring from cho'gal or the ring from omnotron (both heroic).

You're right, DoTs have updated all of your modifiers on every tick since 4.0. You never want to hard refresh dots unless they're falling/have fallen off.

The values will change a bit here and there because your rupture/venomous wounds/deadly poison damage won't increase at all, and your Envenom uptime will not increase proportionately to your other damage sources, but what the net effect of all that is I couldn't begin to guess. Personally, I just wore my regular set of gear for the fight and it was fine.
Thanks for the feedback, I'll let you know how it goes

It comes down to haste at the moment. To get the haste cap (200#) without having the Alchemist Stone you are going to have to essentially max haste on every slot possible which includes the Cho'gal ring as well as the T4W random one. You do not have Alchemy or Sinestra down yet but you do have the heirloom ring at least. I would say just look through your possible upgrades on the path to reaching the 200# haste cap and try to get it as soon as possible. This should also include some difference enchants/gems (such as sacrificing some int for haste) and fixing your reforging.

Not as of yet, but you should be able to figure it out based on the stats on the items and your current stats. I presume you're referring to [Security Measure Alpha] and [Signet of the Fifth Circle]?

If you're suffering for mana, you may want to consider [Security Measure Alpha] with the crit reforged to mastery/haste, depending on where you are in relation to a breakpoint.

If you're not, I'd go for [Signet of the Fifth Circle] with either the haste or mastery reforged to spirit, again based on how close you are to a breakpoint.

If you want to talk about stat weightings, I suppose technically [Signet of the Fifth Circle] is better - but the weight of haste varies depending on your current haste. But you should always base your gearing on how it's going to affect your personal stats, rather than which item some person on a forum or website claims is "better".

Hi all,

i have one question.

If there is the 25% Phase we will spamm Drainsoul, but if the 4er Bonus procct and the Nightfall come,
is it better to cast drainsoul or cast the two instants? I don´t need the 5% Crit buff from Nightfall, because there are other Warlocks where make the 5% Crit buff. But the 4er Bonus thats my question or is it better only drainsoul to cast and refresh the dots?

Hi to all!

I've been reading this topic for a while and got a few questions, but firstly I'd like to ask about Incite what seems the most strange talent to use for me. Nearly every tank has this talented because you don't really have to AoE tank in high-end instances, but still when do you have time to use Heroic Strike? I haven't used it a single time since I specced prot and although I'm only lvl63 at the moment I don't think I ever will. Even if it crits its way less dmg then Devastate, SS, Revenge noncrits and for a 4GCD rotation that 3 ability is more then enough to spam. Is there a hidden mechanic I don't know about? Devastate losts it's aggro generating after 3 sunder stacks or what other reasons are there to use Heroic Strike in a SS - (SnB/Rev/Dev) - (SnB/Rev/Dev) - (SnB/Rev/Dev) -SS rotation? Please clear this stuff for me.

Normally i would just report your post, DeluksZ, but last time I reported a post like yours I was given the go ahead to instead explain in the thread. Heroic Strike is not on the GCD. You can spam it as long as you have the rage to support your normal rotation, which is often the case when tanking. Keep in mind that Cleave is also off the GCD, but shares a cooldown with HS.

While DW, i notice on recount that my main hand damage is always higher than offhand. does this mean that if, for example i have a 359 weapon and a 372 weapon, the 372 should be in my main hand? Or is there no difference?

Main-hand should always be the higher ilevel weapon. Without question, given that Dual-Wielding has a natural 50% damage reduction to the off-hand.

The simple reason is that the talent Nerves of Cold Steel only brings your Off-hand Damage up by 25%, for a total of 75% of full damage. Fury Warriors get the same buff (just for picking Fury), Shamans get no off-hand damage buff at all for Enhancement, and Combat Rogues get +75% Offhand weapon damage for going Combat (but, oddly enough, I don't recall my Rogue's OH doing more than MH, so I dunno what that is about).

I would think that that's because the 50% damage reduction is still in place.
If a weapon did 1-2 damage and was 1 handed, it would do 1-2 in main hand, but the base damage for offhand would be 0.5 - 1.
The class damage buffs would be applied on top of that base damage, resulting in the following:
Rogue - Combat: 0.875 - 1.75
Warrior - Fury: 0.625 - 1.25
DK - Frost DW: 0.625 - 1.25
Shaman - Enh: 0.5 - 1

So really, nerves of cold steel is only bringing your offhand up to 62.5%.
I don't know if my math is 100% correct, but it makes a lot more sense this way.

Hope that helps,
aitsu
