Suppose when a raid member have a dot on him and you want minimizing the overhealing done. With the new crit's rule you often crit WoGs from 60-65k or more and may happen that some of that healing is overheal.
I think that glyph can sometimes fix it and in some situation can be usefull if it scales properly with crit and haste.

Anyway i don't think that we would play it instead of Divine plea, divine protection, divinity or Lod's ones.

In the same way, when I need to AoE with these kinds of mobs, is a simple Rain of Fire as efficient ? Should I use what you've mentioned in your guide even for little mobs ?
What I usally do when fighting against Trashpacks that have more than 2 Mobs in them, is spreading Curse of Elements via Jinx and then continue as the guide says, which is: Soulburn + Seed of Corruption (spreads Corruption on all the Mobs in the Area) and afterwards tab-targetting threw them and casting UA on every target. As mentioned in the guide, using Shadowflame will result in an DPS increase. After that's done you can either recast UA on the Mobs again or start a single target rotation with Haunt etc. in it on the primary target. If you want to, you can also take the second target in Focus and dotting it fully up with Soulswap and Shadow and Flame Debuff before redotting all the other mobs in the pack. What I found resulting in an DPS increase is besides spreading UA is also applying BoA on the mobs.
If you face a Trashpack with only 2 Mobs the situation should be clear: Soulswap (don't forget to apply Shadow and Flame to both of your targets as this again will increase your dps)
As affliction you don't use Rain of Fire. If you want to AOE them down and Soulburn is on CD just spam Seed of Corruption (right before that Jinx via CoE always comes in handy)

thanks. And will all the mobs come over me ? How can I keep the packs far from my warlock so they don't hit me ?

First thing to realise is that it won't be 416 haste. You WILL reforge it making it approx 250 haste left.

Your really trading 208 crit and 230 mastery for: 10 Str, 250 haste, 168 expertise and 20 hit.
You will lose less again if you can find more re-forging options free'd up by the expertise and the little hit that these 2 pieces bring. So again it still isn't as bad as it looks.

With 4pc set bonus you get an extra HP worth out of every inq, that means much more HP to be spent on TV. I don't have the numbers to back it up, however it's probably in here somewhere, but I believe 4pc is quite awesome and should offset any stat loss you get from those 2 pieces.
Also if your starting hard modes, your gear is going to get bumped over the 2 crafted pieces anyway..

Best thing to do is load up a spreadsheet and drop in your set-up and compare directly.

This may not be the place to ask, but does Wrack continue going out past p1?

Also, is there a reason why it can't be mass dispel'd immediately by a priest?

One last thing...for anyone who's pulled this boss in 10m, would Pally/Druid work as a healer composition for this fight? It's very difficult to find much discussion of this boss anywhere... ):

HW: Serenity is the one HW that most priests don't have anything bad to say about and I'm certainly in that camp. It's great. It's cheap, it's instant and you can get a temporary crit buff that can help keep your tank or hunter up. I would be using that pretty close to off cooldown, if the damage is going out the way I remember it was.

Another thing we did on 25 man that may not work on 10, but I would still advocate trying is keeping a Lightwell near the hunter and they can use that as needed and even the tank can click on it if they are nearby. I remember that role being kind of hectic, having to keep them up and the Lightwell helped out a lot. I would try that, too.
yea we killed it ( no logs =( ) and i used chakra serenity wayy better

i used lightwell in for melee and offtank coz the hunter say "i cant click lightwell" =S

thx

Ok what both of you make sense. There is no predetermined set up for your IP/DP setup its just the faster wep gets the DP. This now has me wondering wouldnt that always be your MH that swings the most? Unless you have a dagger OH? Which also leave me wondering where daggers fit in as combat. From what I gathered daggers are a no no, being that slower weps with a higher base weapon dmg is better. Also just wondering, since my rogue is human id benefit most by going with a sword/mace setup to get both racials or will it n matter what only benefit my MH?

"A note about weapons, there are no fast 1-handed Agility weapons in Cata and you will almost always want a 1.4 speed dagger in your OH. You will want to use a slow MH, if the stats are equal the slower will generally be better."

In the first post in this thread. Basically slowest MH and fastest OH all else being equal, which means dagger OH. For MH there's not all that much choice - use the best weapon you can but swords and maces will obviously be better. Only expertise cap your mainhand.

Combat goes with a slow MH (axes, swords, fists, maces). You want a very fast off-hand as combat... and at 85 the only 1.4 speed weapons are daggers. Combat only differs from the other two specs when considering your main hand, not off hand or both.

arms or fury not just raw dps but also raid usfullness

I recently got back to playing my warrior because of the over play of death knights on my server. Tanking tho quite easy still requireed alittle adjustment but is overall more challenge than dk tanking. But my main reason for returning to my warrior roots is for extra raid dps. I've been slaming away with SMF but have been reading so much about arms warriors overall usefulness that I'm considering change to arms. I'm wondering what others think about this and my dual weilding counterparts may ask why? But to me it is sad not being able to get ur max dps untilln last 20% of boss fight. U can be inactive till than and still give the meters a shake. . I. For one want sustained dps, that coupled with easy rends without stance dance along with heroic throw seems better. But as bring only a 2 year who vet i an open to suggestion. . Thanks. Shwagz
