I have a question regarding RvS, excuse this if it has already been brought up.

In the guide it says to use RvS when you have four combo points and use SS otherwise to build up points. This, of course, makes sense and I have no problem with this, but I've run into the problem that the SS glyph sometimes messes this up.
What I mean is that when you have 3 CP's and you use an SS you might get to 5 CP's and have no RvS on the target.

Wouldn't it make more sense to use RvS early on (when you have 1-2 CP's, not with 3) so you can be sure to always have an RvS on the target for the finisher?

Nobody's talking about the monstrous buffs given to assas in the PTR?

16% more poison damage and 5% from melee?

My guild is currently trying to defeat Sinestra, a very fun fight I really enjoy (who would not ?).
I'm here to ask some advice about Incanter's absorption.

I am not good enough in theory crafting to determine if Incanter's Absorption is worth losing 2 GCD (mage ward and mana shield) to benefit some more spell power; especially during Essence of the Red burst phase.

Is it better to have this little spell power boost for a few second or shall I waste no gcd and continue spamming Arcane Blast without incanter proc ?

Can someone put a bit of math theory about it to help me understand the value of IA (or waste if it's a waste) ?


Oh and what about trinkets? We used to use TB magic resistance trinket for Nefarian's electrocute, should we (DPS) use it also on Sinestra's breath ?

Ok, I've been reading and reading through this blog and many others. Trying to learn all I could about being the best Holy Pally I can be and I have to admit... I feel like Marlin talking to Dude in "Finding Nemo". I know you all are talking English, I feel like I should understand you, but I just don't.

Would someone mind dumbing this down? I just got to lvl 70 and arrived in Dal. I have gotten here due to sheer luck and help from my guild, but I feel like I have run into a brick wall. Also, another challenge to overcome is I am playing on a Mac. So I have to do everything through key bindings to be fast enough. To click I have to hold a button down while I click and I always seem to hit the wrong button. So if I am using WASD to move, my 1- = keys are my healing... ';/. are my party quick buttons. I would like to keep P and M for spells and map, oh and B for bag, but beyond that... I don't care. OH yeah... I can't seem to use my F1 - F12 keys at all.

So anyway... I have three unspent talent points to use, my biggest problem is I can't seem to regen mana fast enough. Even with a hot key for drink and I never loot, every time I try someone dies. I don't know how to do a macro, so I type in mana when I need mana and find it usually gets unnoticed. I really do want to be better and I enjoy the healing.

Confusing things I've read:
Ppl keep saying to use Judgement... ok there are like 5 judgements... which one am I supposed to be using? If it is the offensive one, which is what I think I am understanding, that makes no sense! I am spamming Divine Light to keep tank alive. So using Divine Plea to help with mana regen won't work because I can't afford to go down to 50% healing! Now according to my guild my equipment is the best I could possibly have. I do have open gem slots but they tell me not to spend the money because I will need to change armor soon anyway.

Can someone please explain what "Daybreak" actually does? In another blog sight there were three different meanings being referred to!

Ok, that will be enough to begin with. I chose this site because you all seem the most knowledgeable and willing to help the cursed Noob! I swear it seems like such a dirty word, well everyone had to be a noob at some point. I wish people would offer advice or be helpful instead of name calling and ridicule. I'm always open to any and all suggestions from anyone who can offer helpful and logical opinions on how I can improve as a player.

Given that Fireball and Frostfire Bolt are 'close' in dps now, I wonder if there is a point where Frostfire Bolt is actually noticeably more dps because of extra scaling with haste due to the dot. That is unless the point where Pyroblast becomes viable as a nuke comes before that. This probably would not occur at normal haste levels, but might occur during time warp. I would try some napkin math on the subject on my own, but I'm returning to WoW after a couple of years. So my understanding on how everything works together is a little dated.

Problem with the auto gem/auto reforge. It's telling me to reforge away from expertise but in doing so I would go under the exp cap.. is that happening to anyone else? Would my DPS actually increase even though i'm reforging away from the exp cap or is this just an error?

EDIT: I am spell hit capped, in case you are wondering.

i'd say that Blood craze should be a standard in all warrior tank specs. It helps the healers GREATLY.

Mutilate doesn't prioritize Expertise at all any more. If in doubt, just watch what the DPS number/chart gives you; if the simulated number goes up, it's a good bet that it's suggesting the right thing.

Blood Craze doesn't help very much at all.

World of Logs - Real Time Raid Analysis

31k healing over a 5 min fight is very insignificant. That is literally 1 melee hit which you could probably avoid by taking more threat/damage talents. The only time that blood craze comes anywhere close to being useful is while tanking several adds since it will proc more often.(only 2 fights in current content)
