and here is the problem. blizz try to nerf our dps to be similar to the other hybrids. but on the other hand all dps-hybrids, even some pure dd's, have more raid-support then the dps-dk's (ok blood has two, but frost and unholy only has one). so if our dps get nerfed because we are - OMG - in the top of the meters for 3 or 4 bosses out of 14, then we are not competitive to other hybrids and
doomed to sit out.
edit: horn isn`t a real unique-support, cause you don`t need a special dps-dk (all dk`s are able to do so), all shamans have the buff and the most important thing: one enhancer and nobody cares about our stupid horn.
yes i agree, one enhancement shaman/ warlock and dps support seems to be at a loss. If blizzard nerfs our aoe, i got three words for you: fan of knives. Assuming that dks would be equal to a pure because of the lack of support, and factoring in the time that we need to set up our aoe, nerfing unholy blight doesnt seem like the most intelligent approach, but i kno blizz and i kno its coming neways.
I just got a Worldcarver and I'm wondering what to get on it. Now before anyone says anything my hit cap with my deathsbite is 149 and my crit is 35%. That's a 90 crit loss and a 62 hit loss forcing me to re gem at least 2 16 STR gems for hit. Without accuracy I would have to re gem a bit more.
Is 130ish AP worth more then about 32 STR, 25 hit and 25 crit?
You should be able to get enough haste to dip below the soft cap and still make it effective for your FoL because of lag, from personal experience, the best I've ever seen my latency was 200 ms so, even with a much better connection Id expect 100 ms unless you're standing right next to your server. If we wanted to find the 'perfect' haste value to stack, we'd probably want to include latency into the calculation. This past week I moved and now am getting 300-500 ms if I'm lucky, so where before I didn't really feel the need to stack haste. Now I'm gemming more and more for haste because of how much lag I'm getting.
Wow. I don't know how u play at all with 300-500ms. When my latency gets that high on occasion when our internet is having issues, I feel like i'm casting in jello. I guess I'm lucky being in Souther Cali next to Blizzard on a West Coast server. I average 20-50ms most of the time, and i really notice the difference when I get 200+ range.
The 12% extra Imp damage from 3/5 Unholy Power is less of a damage increase over Improved Soul Leech. Imp Soul Leech doesn't only give Replenishment, it gives you 2% of total mana everytime it procs too. This gives the Warlock more time to DPS instead of lifetapping, eventually giving a higher DPS increase than Unholy Power.
Oh and if you don't want to go Imp Soul Leech, 3/3 Supression in Affliction is a much better alternative than Unholy Power.
I appreciate your answer, not really sure i agree with all of it though. Imp Soul Leech is worth 1 lifetap every 31 casts.
(average mana from life tap / mana returned from isl) /.3 = casts needed to recover mana from lifetap:
(3750/400)/.3 = 31.25 ---sidenote that isl scales negatively with spirit.
That is essentially one lifetap a minute. So can you do more damage than 12% of your imp's dps over 60 seconds in one gcd? I don't have a log that shows an imp's dps in a raid enviroment, but if we assume 600 dps without unholy power, then unholy power adds 72 dps to the imp. (600 * 12) Thats 60*72 for 4320 dmg in one gcd. I think the only spell that would meet that dmg/cast time requirement would be COD. Any fight that requires movement were you can essentially life tap for free further reduces the value of imp soul leech. That's almost every fight in ulduar.
As for suppression, its a great talent if you have the ability to get to 11% hit. The combination of gear i would need to wear to accomplish that would be so gimped that the talent is essentially of no value to me. Perhaps as gear becomes available to me that may change, but at this point in time that talent might as well not exist.
Quick dps question concerning the 2h weapon. Which is better the Titansteel Destroyer or Death Blite? As I have been reading, Strength and AP are what a dps DK wants/needs. So is it better to have the 47 more AP with the Destroy and lose the Crit and min hit points? Just wondering what your thoughts are, thx.

Look at the weapon dps and rethink your question. A higher ilvl weapon is almost always better than lower ilvl weapon. Exceptions are there, but DB is so well itemized you can't seriously think titansteel is better.

Just compare the stats with the stat weight from the first page and you will have a good idea.
For a bit quick math I just use the rough estimates to show you the difference.
Death Bite has 17.2 more weapon dps = about 103 AP
Death Bite has 90 Crit Rating = about 90 AP
Titansteel Destroyer has 23 more Str = about 69 AP
Since you are Hit capped I just leave out Hit Rating for now.
As you can see this means Death Bite has at least over 100AP advantage over Titansteel Destroyer.
Even if the Weapon damage would be the same Death Bite would be better, so I don't know why you were even unsure of what would be better.
Im just curious wich one of these weapons is theoretically more dps for an enhancement shaman as a mainhand; Insanity's Grip or Vulmir, the northern tempest?
They are the same itemlevel and speed but Vulmir has 325-605 weapon damage and Grip has 372-558.

Actual weapon damage make no difference in PvE (as they will average out to the same damage). If you are saving up DKP for one or the other though, I'd highly recommend Vulmir since it can be swapped to the off-hand later.
i was wondering if anyone would give me some tips on what i need to replace first, i just hit 80 like 3 days ago and well, im having a little trouble figuring out what items i need to go for first. here is my armory, please dont laugh.
Yes I have been messing around with a few of the Blood Spec's. I'm am normally 2H Frost and it seems the spec doesn't do as well as it use to. I have been playing around with all the different spec of Blood. 51/0/21 seems like a decent spec pushing about 2800 2900 dps unbuffed on a Heroic target dummy.
51/2/18 is the current spec i am using for blood. The 2 points into Frost is for Runic Power Mastery. The reason for this is it gives me the extra 30 RP. IT lets me get a 3rd DC off on my RP dump. Which i find to be a jump in the Dps overall. I am using the Dark Death glyph. In that little change of spec, I normally set at about 2950 3000k Dps average on the heroic target dummy. This is just my input on the 51/2/18 spec
hi,
ive resently got my hands on Razer Lachesis mouse.
binded "alt" and "shift" to left mouse side.
working seems go "randomly". when i press alt on mouse and press 1 on keyboard
goes like "1, 1, alt+1, alt+1, 1, 1, 1, alt+1, etc"... maybe some of u got same or similar problem
and know where i should look for a fix?
mouse buttons works properlty. ive binded numbers to those buttons and tryed type with those - works great.
Ok so i need help im 51/0/21. armory link The World of Warcraft Armory
ive done almost all the bosses in ulduar n my best dps is around 3.5k the rotation i use is IT PS HS HS DS Rune Dump DS HS HS HS HS Rune Dump. i would like to know a rotation for bosses 1 target rotations. if its possible thank you.
I rolled a dk unholy from the beginning and recently turned 80, Main is a healer so this was something different for me.
But I need some help with my dps, I see dk's doing around 3300-4000 dps on for example emalon in voa i'm doing barely 2000-2100 dps on single targets with my rotation will t7.5 be so much of a difference?
I'm still doing hc's with this dk to gear up and I can reach around 3000-3500 damage on trash pull with aoe rotation....but that number will drop rapidly when i get to a single target boss and at the end of dungeon I level out at 2200 dps overall damage.
Also on boss dummy I reach 2100 dps constant which I think is pretty low, bare with me I'm still pretty new with dk's etc but I was expecting some more dps.
So any tips for me gear wise or rotation help?
I tried to test my DPS output on a training dummy (In UC, Alone) and also to test rotations, I tried 3 Rotations over 3.5minutes each set and not using Dispersion or Shadowfiend Each time my DPS Peaked @ 2535 DPS (Recount) with only Inner Fire Buffed on me.
Being in Naxx/Maly/Uld10 man gear i was a little disappointed, so i figure 'I know what - I'll completely buff myself' - so i popped on Fort/SPR and Inner fire and ate some Crit food, tried the 3 rotations again, with no changes but the buffs.
My DPS went DOWN by 110 to 2425 DPS.. I couldnt figure what the hell was wrong, so i redone them and focused on the most natural rotation of VT > SW;P > MB > DP > MF > MB > SW;P and so on.. (the one im most confident of maintianing high uptime on and by rotation i mean 'Opening sequence') which i did 3 times again. Still 2.4..
So i click off all the buff's and re-buff inner fire and go again - 2.5k
Perplexed i fully re-buffed but this time ate SP food and set off again 3 times 2.4...
Now call me silly but, when you *Buff* yourself shouldn't you get stronger and not weaker?
Is there something inherent in the training dummies that means they dont give good feedback?
Am i the only experiencing this issue? Should i be worried? Should i not be paying attention to them at all?
Should my DPS be higher based on my gear set? Here is my last 10 Ulduar WWS Results - Avengelyne's Report with an overall 2.6 this is incrediably low - unfortunately i cant link my armory as i got upgrades from that run but we are back 2 moro night and i can record those for you guys and link my armory to go with it.
Any info or insight would be apprieciated - i'm getting rather frustrated overall - Going to Naxx 25 in Naxx 25 gear and getting a 4.6k DPS on Patchwerk then going again with a mix of Ulduar 10/25 and Naxx 25 gear and barely being able to reach 4k flat let alone 4.6k is really disconcerting..
Anyone else noticed an Overall drop, not just us but every caster, in DPS since Patch 3.1? Or is it just me?
Can some1 whrite a macro with a castsequence, for fury build? how u thinking? marcro for hight dps is better or not? and can sone1 whrite full rotation with all cycle?
