This is a -very- bad macro and I advise you and anyone else to not use it, Even for SMF.
Even more dire for TG. - Raging Blow is going to hit very hard as TG and if you waste your BzkRage while enraged and high on rage. - It's an entire waste. And you could go a whole 30 seconds with out an Enrage Proc or Cooldowns up.

Raging Blow is still useful for SMF for those occasions, but not as vitally important.
I applaud you for sharing this with us though.

"We nerfed Drain Life because Affliction was forsaking Shadowbolt in PvE, which wasn’t intended. We want Drain Life to be for utility, not primarily for damage, and we want all casters to have to hard cast at least some of the time. This was done via hotfix and players won’t see a change in 4.2."

Well i guess that means DL will only be used in heavy movement fights now :/

So Eternal scales very well with avoidance (especially mastery) and is almost always ahead of the armor one. There might be one reason to chose the Austere to minimize the damage of fully unmitigated hits, but if that is reasonable or not is hard to proof.
This is awesomness.
Thanks so much for pointing this out and linking the spreasheet. Math is a bitch

What happened to this thread? There seems to be no moderation for a month. Out of a sudden we're flooded by trolling posts saying basically 'I have no idea how to play warrior but I will pretend I do'.

While cleaning up, please delete this one too.

Your 4th point, isn't just about CL, that talent is for any non-periodic crit, so LB gets it too.

And unlike CL, LB does not have any cooldown. CL does have an innate 3sec CD. So, in a situation where you'd need to cast 2 in succession, you may have issues.

Still, the biggest factor, the new Prime Glyph, is going to trump any reasoning to use CL over LB come 4.2, which is anywhere from 4-11 days away now.
In the latest Ghostcrawler blog explaining the changes in 4.2 he says that "We introduced the Glyph of Unleashed Lightning to help shaman feel less punished by movement in both PvP and PvE. The impact of changes like this is very difficult to model."

Considering the last part of that is basically saying they will nerf it (such as double the casting time while moving, etc)... I think his point will have merit.

Soul Swap glyph nerf - 4.2

With the nerf to the Soul Swap glyph raising the cooldown to 30 seconds, the glyph itself is unlikely to be a DPS gain. If you have a second target you want to keep DoTted, ie Nefarian and Onyxia, then you want to run the DoTs on both full time. With a 30 second CD, you can do this once and thereafter you will either let your DoTs run dry and use Soul Swap again, or you will refresh the DoTs manually. In most scenarios it will be obviously better to not let your DoTs run dry.

Instead of using Soul Swap you could just manually cast UA, Corr, BoA on your second target. This will usually require 1 second for BoA, 1 GCD for UA (-0.2 secs with UA glyph) and 1 GCD for Corr. Casting Soul Swap twice will apply all 3 DoTs to your second target requiring 2 GCDs which is only slightly faster than the 2 GCD + 0.8 seconds required to do it manually and also applies the (small amount of) Soul Swap damage to the 2 targets. However, manual mutli-DoTting allows you to use BoD on your primary target which is a DPS gain.

Not glyphing Soul Swap also has the benefit of using Soul Swap for utility. For example, many fights require DPS to be turned on and off precisely. Non-glyphed Soul Swap allows you to turn your DoTs on and off like a light switch so you can continue heavily DPSing right up to the line rather than stopping early. You can still use Soul Swap to unload DoTs off a target right before it dies/despawns and reload them onto something new or about to spawn and in fact you can do this as often as you want rather than just once every 30 seconds.

AFAIK, it cycles - MH, OH, MH, OH, MH, OH. So while you COULD get a MH to proc KM and an OH to proc KM right afterward, you'd have to be pretty unlucky with your GCD timing (or laggy) to not be able to make use of both of them.

For how to spec and stat your priest. check the first posts in this thread.

As for the last boss in vortex, I assume you mean Asaad. Dispels are very expensive, so one way to help keeping ahead of the healing is to have your party members jump during the static cling cast. If you're in the air when the cast completes, you won't be bound to the ground. Note that after the first one, all subsequent static clings come after a chain lightning.

It is still viable to use SMF for the first part of the tier until the necessary gear is acquired (either at least 1 Zoid's 2H Sword or 4 piece) to make TG outperform consistently. Note that it will be much easier to acquire and upgrade the 1H weapons since they are BoE, and since the 2H weapons will also be desired by Ret paladins and DK's increasing competition for good 2H's.

With full BiS gear TG will be 7-9% higher DPS than SMF due to extra sockets and superior weapon choice. Getting a combination of 2 of either Zoid's or Sulfuras's quickly will be difficult unless your loot system favors you highly over other players.
thank you for post landsoul, i did not even consider the deep wound ticks. the 1H boe will be the best option for many i would guess as well.

i've been playing my ret pally for a bit now and have been using the clcret Addon(addon for the next attack in rotaion) i semi recall other warriors working with a program like this in cata but never heard anything great about them. Do you know of such a add-on or have heard anything appealing about them?

Well i was looking at the old set bonuses and i noticed something. The tier 3 2-set bonus Frostfire Regalia - Item Set - World of Warcraft. It reduces the cooldown on evocation by 1 min effectively doubling the amount of burn phases we can execute in a given fight.
