Neither Mastery or Critical Strike have Diminishing Returns (in the same context that Dodge or Parry do, anyways).

Itemizing isn't too hard.
Mastery is a constant damage bonus to Crusader Strike, Divine Storm, and Templar's Verdict. You can count on it to be there, every swing (and augmented by Inquisition).
Critical Strike, while very nice, not 100% assured. Plus, the benefit of Mastery goes up with more Critical Strike, since the damage of Hand of Light is based on the attack's damage, which criticals are obviously much higher.

So, at least how I've done it (to great success so far, for my off-spec), is Str > Hit/Exp > Mastery > Crit > Haste

i really need some help here. i raided this weekend with my guild and it was an alt run for them. the othere lock i was in raid with was out dpsing me even though i was more geared and all that good stuff. Obliveron @ Hyjal - Game - World of Warcraft. i am drain affliction specced and my rotation is SB CoE, BoD, Haunt, UA, Corr and Drain Life. Please can someone help me get my dps up.

gotta say guys thanx for the site.. the infor here helped me get my dps on my rogue to acceptable levels and not get the boot to the bum from a group.... the information here is invaluable ... thanx =)

atm wondering. 10 strength or 25 crit? I'd say 10 str I thinks?
Wouldn't the pvp enchant from Hellscream be better?

The epic (greater) one is 50 strength though while the blue (not greater ) is 60 =p

It's listed as blackcleave chopper there but the tooltip is obsidium cleaver.

It's my first post here, so hi

I'm reading EJ's for over a year, but finally I decided to register, because I have quation, that's really important for me. Changes blizz made in frost spec in Cata were best thing I've ever saw in WoW, I wanted to use this spec in raids whole WotLK, but it wasn't too good idea

Now I'm afraid frost is again worse than arcane and fire! I'm trying to "guess" what it's future can be, but I'm not too good at those things... The question is: do you thing frost will keep its usefullness in raids? How does it look in 4.2? How good does it scale with higher tier items? Hope blizz won't destroy my fav spec...

Perhaps I am just missing it, but can someone direct me to some threads regarding the coming patch? A few of the other classes are pages deep into ptr testing and what not, and I would like to see what some of the other shamans are seeing in Firelands.

Thanks for the Update Hamlet I always love reading your thoughts from an elitists' PoV as myself...

Over the last 2 weeks or so I have been sifting through all of the new gear that's coming out and it seems as if there will be PLENTY of new gear that looks great for boomkins... (I.E. Spirit Int Haste gear)

What my question is, is at this point do you personally have a BiS set up as far as VP Gear vs Drops vs Crafted gear as of yet and if so what are your views on the new gear

?
