It's my first post here. Reading this thread since it was created. So grateful for it and i hope u keep up the good work. However, i have to say over the last few months i see many useless and random comments, for example: who has most dps? (that was epic...) , changing a gem resulting to meta-gem loss and /panic mode, what item should i use in x slot, asking a question that has been answered in previous posts and now this about making a spreadsheet for a patch before it goes live. I can understand your anger and it's utterly justified. Rules exist for these forums as far as i know and you indeed have Questions and Answers in the begining of this thread people who use it should read. Can anything more be done? Because it really started getting annoying.
While this might seem a bit hypocritical, backseat moderating is just as annoying as it adds as much to the thread as the poorly thought out posts they are slamming - nothing.
Let me play Devil's advocate and try to examine why there are so many new posters and readers to a site that is actually a guild forum that they don't belong to. The stock answer on any class forum when the subject comes up about rotations, gear and theorycraft is "go to EJ". While the folks on here are in large part responsible for pointing out how to get the most out of playing your class, they've become a victim of their own success, with now everyone pointing to them for answers. Many people sent here have little or no idea of who EJ are and what they do, in their defense they could think it's some site that has all the answers and is made up of people who do nothing but answer questions on your given class.
While the people on here are very helpful with their findings, and the occasional new poster adds something constructive to the thread, it's still a site made up of players that raid and have jobs just like you. That being said, it's the internet, you're going to have people with the now regular ADD that don't read stickies or feel the 5 seconds to search for something isn't worth their time when they can just ask a question that may have been answered numerous times before and type "so sorry" as an apology for their laziness.
In short, let the moderators worry about it, and just ignore the useless posts. The only alternative is to make joining the forum much harder and until that becomes less work than moderating it will be as it is. While I'm at it I'd like to thank the folks here for their tireless effort and generosity.
*New* Glyph of Feral Spirit: Your spirit wolves gain an additional 30% of your attack power(link). (PvP Glyph IMO) will it be a good PvE Glyph? and what AP will make it the right choice?
*New* Glyph of Hex: Increases the damage your Hex target can take before the Hex effect is removed by 20%. (PvP Glyph also IMO) have no idea what the damage value is.
*New* Glyph of Stoneclaw Totem: Your Stoneclaw Totem also places a damage absorb shield on you, equal to 4 times the strength of the shield it places on your totems. (another PvP Glyph IMO) a cool one though
No, we do SB -> Haunt -> UA/Immo -> corr -> curse -> SL on live.
With 3.10 at boss above 25% we do SB -> Haunt -> UA/Immo -> corr -> curse. Below 25% we do Haunt -> UA -> refresh curse (if needed) -> drain soul.
And I do agree with the above posts, assuming we'll always have access to a Doomguard is absurd, so I'll be using the Dual Spec for when DG is up and using Affliction. When its down, I'll switch on back to using FG/Ember. Its nice I have some choice. I can buy "a spec bot" or whatever they are called when they hit live on the AH. You drop one of them, and ppl all around in your raid can respec at it like a repair bot I believe, and you do not have to be an inscriber to drop it. Its good to see these numbers though, and I thank Zal 100 times over, and hope he has a million plus happy moments.
Why do we use DS when the boss is under 25%? Does it hit more than the SB when our target is under 25% or what?
