I am a lvl 85 rogue that is experiencing some real trouble with my dps in cata. Went from combat to assasination, and I am only averaging 13-18% dps. Less than 8K. I need help. I am tired of getting kicked from groups, Any advice?

Am I doing it wrong?

My rotation for boss fights is like this:

SerpS > BA > ExS > 3XCoS > AS > ExS > 3XCoS > AS > ExS etc....

During L&L it's 3X ExS with 2-3 AS afterwards due to focus build during L&L. When looking over damage the 3X ExS (not allowing the full ticks) nets 50k+ damage depending on crits in 3 seconds (50k being with 1 good crit) while the 3X AS afterwards only nets 30k or so with a good crit.

Would that rotation be bettered by a L&L rotation of ExS > AS > AS > ExS or something similar?

At the moment I am round abouts 26-28k DPS on stationaries and 14-18k on AspectoftheFox movements.

Anyone that has current access to the spreadsheets that could tell me if that's just retarded or viable? (I am at work, no access at the moment.)

Unless im misreading why is the destruction profile using the necromantic focus trinket instead of the rune trinket?

Has anyone done any theorycrafting in regards to 2T12? Any word whether it is greater than 4pt11 normal? I'm trying to decided how to gear my mage and which pieces to get first. Very little has been understood with the mirror image that appear at random and what the total dps for it is. I do have tool such as RAWR and Simcraft but most of these tool rely on formulation that are normally discussed on this forum and others. I just wanted to see what the communtiy opionion is on this.

A better way.... and the way my guild just did our last kill...

We assigned two pallies to torment healing for the first crystal that spawned, bloodlust, popped our haste cooldowns and got 120 stacks before the first crystal ended (thanks to a crazy dispersion-shadowpriest).

Then the rest of our healers who were on mt healing switched to torments full time (for the most part).

My Word of Glories were landing for 200-300k so basically free Lay-On-Hands during decimation phases.

All these complicated strategies might be useful for heroic, but its really just a simple fight.

Edit: I'd also like to point out, stacking mastery is pointless since it caps with your health. Having a heal land for 200k almost negates the need for shields of any kind on your tank if your properly tank swapping when needed.

I have recently learned that Shock & Awe, the mod on which a vast majority of raiding Enh Shaman have come to rely, is no longer being developed by its original author. With the new changes to our priority list, an up-to-date version of this mod is more important than ever. Is there anyone who can take this project over?

So I haven't been playing my DK that long as dps, but most of the stuff I see says Unholy presence > Frost presence with DW frost. But after messing around on dummys and raids, Frost presence always ends up as the higher dps. Is this something that is still uncertain? Or are there scenarios where one is better than the other.

There's a couple different facets to the issue. First off are the set bonuses; compared to the T11 bonuses, the T12 2P and 4P are proving to be dramatically inferior. Second, at what point do the intellect/stat budget gains from T12 gear outweigh the loss of the T11 4P bonus? This is especially important for Arcane, as we value intellect at an incredibly high rate in comparison to any other stat.

EDIT: Better expressed, what gains would be needed to offset the DPS loss from 4P T11 normal and heroic sets?

Usually I've found Frost Presence looks better on a dummy, but I've always gotten better single target numbers in a raid by using Unholy presence. If you're getting more using Frost presence it could be because the fight has a bit more incidental damage or AoE than usual; Frost Presence buffs that sort of thing.

I believe at very low gear (haste) levels, FP might come out ahead, too.

Still cant figure out what trinket is better - 1)Soul Casket, 2)Alchemist Stone or 3)Volcano card. Rawr shows that I should use 1+2, while Simcraft shows Volcano card is superior. So where is the truth ? Any chance to see list of arcane trinkets value somewhere ?
