Ran simulation again. Average dps comes out to be 28554, which is basically a 176dps loss.
I read that simcraft does not include trinket procs into simulations. However even if you compare the 2 trinkets solely based on their stats which are 363expertise versus 383str, 383str should theoretically result in more dps.
I ran a few numbers and heroic heart of rage I believe stays prevalent till you can replace it with the heroic apparatus. I don't have the exact numbers near me but the major issue really right now is firestones are nearly non existent so the heroic version of upgradable trinkets is somewhat difficult to acquire to say the least.
I'm looking at all the math here, and its all good, the problem here is no one can agree on who is right, I cant say one way or the other who is offering the most effective mana / spell ratio, but i will say this is a confusing topic for me.
Is there a way we can Break it Down to its componant parts, and re-build the theorycrafting based on solid numbers and not made up ones?
For example what are the stat weights for a holy pala this patch (4.2)
Haste / Mastery
Depending on the type of healer you are, or want to be, is it fair to say that either option is viable? the mastery buff makes tank healing alot more intreasting and a little more effective in constant low damage situations (25-45k /3secs), but the basic foundation of holy pala healing has not changed dramaticly from 4.1 we simply have two options now, mastery or haste, i cant see one being weaker than the other, and each has its place in certain situations. In higher level damage situations (55-85k / 3secs) Crit / haste will win the day over and over again.
So my Question is this, Is it better to have high mastery / low crit, or Low mastery / High Crit. (I think we all will agree haste is a keeper in both situations)
Have you actually read what is being discussed here? Very different from a haste inflection point. You should try reading before posting.
Also, this is not a BiS discussion thread.
Hmmmm, cos all i see is haste discussion but hey ho thats a non debate.
And no its not a BiS thread (even though there are lists on these pages which i could point out severy pages if you like), did i mention BiS? It's just that the ret threat since BC has always had trinket discussion, i have been reding it for many years so i do know what it is thank you.
As to the next poster thank you for you constructive help I missed that bit ill have a look now!
