what is a good talent tree set up for the different types of pets. do i lean more towards one thing or try and balance it out between the 3 classes

This is not really true. DW is melee capped at 601 hit rating and spell hit cap is around 820 hit rating.

I don't understand the mechanics for hunters. I'm reading this because I'm going to create my first hunter.

If I'm a lvl 3 hunter, and have this 2 items:

Which one is best?

Notice that the first one has +1 agility (green item), and the other one is a common item, but has better stats.

So, which one will you choose?

Exactly. And being under spell cap only risks you missing an outbreak, death coil, or howling blast. Hardly as critical as missing an OB or FS.

Quick question, I'm sure it's been mentioned and I just missed it. But why not use the Effulgent(82 Stamina and 2% less spell damage taken) Meta, since spell damage isn't avoidable unless you use CDs. And on fights where spell damage is a major factor and you're not able to use CDs every time you need them?

Perhaps I should rephrase my statement to what I meant which was "it's not worth bothering with as your melee hit and runic focus covers more than enough of it"

You will be about 2% under spell hit cap with a melee capped character.

Quick question about Eye of Purification. In the original BiS setup for SP MH it says to Reforge the Spirit to Hit, but since we're speccing into 3/3 Elemental Precision anyways. What's the point of reforging it into Hit if they do the same thing?

Spirit = Spell hit

Hit Rating = Spell hit + Melee hit

Hit Rating > Spirit
