"I guess I'll explain a bit, my guild was just letting me cheese meters to celebrate picking up the staff and have some fun with. Shooting for WoL parses isn't always the best thing for your guild so I don't do it much but this week was an exception. I was joking the week before that after getting the staff and tier 12 legs I could probably push my dps from 34k up to 40k on Baleroc, so they started throwing every buff they could at me to see if I could do it (even things like DI that an Arcane Mage should never have) and let me stand in one spot the whole fight (we usually move back and forth between two markers, which aside from gear was probably the biggest reason my dps shot up there this week.) I also didn't get any links and had no shards spawn on me which was just good rng. Had I been given the same treatment last week and not had to move I think I could have finished around 38k or so, but yes the staff is very overpowered and adds I would say about 5k give or take depending on your rng.
On Alysrazor my dps change had more to do with a rotation change than the staff, I'll let people figure that out for themselves but if you're good with world of logs it should be easy to spot (hint: look at fireballs cast vs pyroblasts.) One of our wipes I was on track to finish around 200k. Our DKs also gripped Clawshapers in this week so I could spread Combustion to them which adds a ton of dps.
On Shannox I've never been able to really focus on dps there because I was always the main kiter, but other people did it this week to let me have some fun and turret.
Beth'tilac I usually do pretty well on, I'm not sure why someone would say I have no top 50 parses because I had the world #1 mage parse there a few weeks back, maybe it wasn't top 50 for other specs I have no idea. If you want an accurate comparison of how much gear helps, add Dragonwrath, tier 12 legs and the rep ring plus power infusions, I did everything else about the same on previous week's Beth'tilac fights.
Majordomo I usually do a 2 person orb soaking rotation with a shadowpriest of ours, but this week I got to skip a round of soaking (sort of, I think I took one tick.) I wasn't actually trying to get a good parse there because we sometimes struggle and wipe a bit there.
Rhyolith I don't think I changed much this week either, I was around 30-40th on the list for mages and am somewhere in the top 10 now I think just because of the gear but I wasn't trying for any crazy parse there."

Hi, firstly I would like to apologize for my English is not the highest level.
Soneone @ Al'Akir-EU - ShadowCraft
My question concerns the errors in the construction of this character, that is, gear, reforges.
Performs all Shadowcraft as prompted, and addon ReforgeLite. My rotation is exactly as it should:
Start: Garotte, 1 + cp snd, 5cp Rapture, Vendetta, Cold Blood + 5cp Evenom, and repeat: Rapture 4 +, 4 + Evenom.
Still, my dps is 13-14k with what I see and hear from others should be 20 +.
Can someone hint at what point do the error and what should change, what to focus on.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best Regards
Soneone

open rotation: garrote> 1cp+ rupture > 1 mult > snd> vendetta:racial> if 4cp+ and 5 stacks DP USE coldblood> ENV...
the best performance with rupture use is 1CP+.

Hey guys, I am shocked this thread has been dormant for so long. Pardon me if I bring up anything that should be in another thread, these all related to Eye of Purification. Where is everyone?
After 4 hours on a dummy last night (I know, I know...) and many trolls lolling at SP weapon for enhance..
#1 I found a 500-1k dps increase by using this rotation. (21.5k over 6 min)
Core rotation revolves around Unleash elements but LL is prioritized.
Unleash Elements
Lavaburst
Flameshock (Immediately)
Lava Lash
Lightning Bolt
Stormstrike
EarthShock
Wolves
2nd rotation after core
Lava Lash
Unleash Elements
Lavaburst
Flameshock (Immediately)
Lightning Bolt
Stormstrike
Earthshock
#2 Using Glyph of Lightning Bolt instead of Windfury or Flametounge. This seems to be an increase for me, anyone else?
#3 What do you pull on a dummy (I know serious stuff) with Eye of Purification?

If you make a cancelaura macro you can wait until he casts decimation blade then cast barkskin and cancel it. You still get the buff.

Rotation
As I am sure that you have answered this question before I am afraid to ask it again of those that are far better than I. It has been over 2 years since I have actively played my warrior (My 1st and original character 5 years ago) that I seek advice. I am spec'ing into a fury warrior for dps and am in need of what the current, or best rotation is? Or someone that would be willing to take the time and explain the best attacks to use to get the maximum DPS for a returning warrior. I know that you all get tired of explaining this to us noobs, but I am grateful for any help that you can give. I have checked throughout the forums, and have either missed the thread or can't find what I am looking for. Thank you....

Help with DPS
Hi guys.. Would you mind help me improve my DPS?... Tralf @ Drak'thul - Game - World of Warcraft
I did +- 17,5-18k dps on Shannox yesterday and i think it should be better.
Can you tell me your rotation, item or reforge suggestions?
Is Apparatus of Khaz'goroth better than Darkmoon Card: Hurricane?
Sorry for my horrible english and wrong topic (not sure).

Doxq i have to disagree with you.
First of all, that talent can be very useful if shaman knows what he has to do. However i have seen many shamans, spamming it, when they shouldn't doing it.
Personally i found it very well spent talent, cause i really don't need instant wolf, rgiht? Or lets say, i need it more than i need wolf.
I use it when whenever i could, especially when it has to be cast..on BL/TW.
Lets say in raid you will hit with it about 10k? Which makes decent return of mana of about 4k? Plus, when you crit with it its nice to see how your mana is regenerating.
Tho, i use it after totem and/or trinket. Just to make sure i get full spirit while not casting.

"GoExo is presently superior to GoCS. As weapons scale across the expansion, it is possible that GoCS could match or pull ahead in a future tier. This has not been fully reassessed for top notch 4.2 gear."
I been reading for a while and haven't seen a update, how does this fair with the questions haste, and the tier 12 2 set bonus?
Has GoCS finally surpassed Exo prime glyph?

I'm already clipping my AM casts, not intentionally after x missiles but once my mana is around 99.5% (depending on when my next mage armor tick will come). The intention of using AM is, as you say, to drop the AB stacks and to help us get back to close to 100% mana. I think continuing to cast or rather allowing a current cast to continue past 100% mana is going to be a DPS loss, a very minor one but a loss none the less.

To start with, I've examined your Shannox parse only, bearing in mind that it's the one involving minimum movement compared to the other 6 encounters, also enabling you to keep your eyes on the boss only and not worrying about external sources of damage (at least not that much). Some things that came in mind at a quick glance:
1. As with most retri paladins, you need to work mostly on your CS. Log shows 1 CS every 6 seconds, while it should be 1 CS at every 4.5 seconds (latency included). Make sure you're not giving up on CS for any proc, it should be used on cooldown, and even more, "spammed" on cooldown, as shown by Exemplar.
2. You're running with pretty low mastery, considering the actual magnitude of this stat. With better gear, you should be able to accumulate more mastery, but generally, the rule of thumb is to go for your hit and expertise caps (which you missed somehow) and then reforge every other stat into mastery.
3.Your Inquisition uptime is very low. Log shows an approximate 76.9% uptime, while it should be as close to 90-95% as possible. I strongly recommend that you read up again the Retribution thread on ways of maximizing your Inquisition uptime, as well as the Ret FCFS forum on ways of configuring the addon into helping you manage your Inquisition.
To conclude:
It's, sadly, no wonder that you are not performing to the maximum of your expectations. (1), (2) and (3) combined give us an under-performing paladin. In simpler words: Less CS = Less TV = Less Inq = Less HoL = Less DPS.
For more info, consult the above posts of your fellow paladins, containing useful tips and advices as well some extra theorycrafting from thread authors and high-end raiders. All the best for your raiding endeavors!

Thank you very much! Some nice nuggets to noodle.
