I got this three weapons, someone said to me that the tankwepon is superior to the scalper because of the maxhit etc.
[Mandible of Beth'tilac]
[Lava Spine]
[Elementium-Edged Scalper]

is that really true?
should i use [Mandible of Beth'tilac] together wit the [Lava Spine] ?

Yes, iLvl is almost always king when it comes to choosing weapons, particularly when they both use STR. In this case the tank weapon is superior by a fairly large margin

is the intercept charge on the same cool down or am i doing something wrong cause it seems like if i use one the other is now on cool down and it wasnt like that before.

So [Mandible of Beth'tilac] should be even better then [Lava Spine].
What about [Obsidium Cleaver] and [Mandible of Beth'tilac] if i am a human?
We can reforge 50 Dogde Rating to 50 Haste Rating and get 3 Expertise, around 90 Expertise Rating would make 240 Rating for us to use overall, Cleaver has only 228 Overall Rating,Speed and so on is the same on both weapons.
In the German Deathknight forum, someone today calculated that [Mandible of Beth'tilac] is as good as [Obsidium Cleaver] maybe superior if the Deathknight is a human, because of the Expertise we get from Swords as human, i dont know how it is in Heroic Gear, but in Normal 378 Gear we can use this Expertise pretty good.

I got fustrated because the Cleaver has not dropped until now, but if this calc is right i never need one.

Can anyone confirm that, or can give me some mathematical formula for weapon calculating, with dps, maxhit,minhit speed and so on ?
I only knwo to calculate with trinkets/procs an pure statweights.

So i know arcane is best for pve, or atleast i think it still is, but what's the best spec/talent build for a pvp mage? it was frost but now i hear it's fire???

This is marginally important enough for this thread but it might have a place since it should be the first week that most people are able to spend valor points for something other than PvE:

PvP helm of 384 is superior to either of the 359 BWD Helms according to Rawr on Arcane Mage when tier bonuses aren't entering the picture, at least in certain setups. About 0.55% increase or about 160 DPS in a particular case.

This is Blizzard's listing of the arena ladders, you can filter it by team size and composition. Pick the bracket you are interested in and use the filter to show only teams with mages. Now you have the ability to cherry pick the spec of the month!

Sorry if this has been stated... but the search feature is down and I can't find anything regarding Ricket's Magnetic Fireball in this thread.

Where does it sit in our trinkets order?! I know the crit is shat and the fireball is a gimmick... but where does the increased static agi sit it at in regards to other trinkets?

/cancelaura no longer works in combat as far as im aware. It was a 'fix' applied after anub'arak heroic where people would remove stuff like fortitude and commanding shout before going in the last phase.
