Is UA shadow damage?
I had a crazy though when looking at the suggested glyphs it recommends UA glyph, but the normal cast starts at the GCD time, so reducing the cast time via glyph is kind of pointless. Taking into consideration though using Immo glyph instead and adding Improve Immo talent increases the base damage of Immo above UA. Then you'd only use UA after the mob reaches 25% for the free refreshes.

I macro /cancelaura Ice Block to Arcane Blast and it has always worked.. I'm pretty sure you could do the same with Slow Fall

I'm interested in these Shard of Woe numbers as well.
I read everywhere that Arcane Mages are 3-4k DPS ahead of Fire Mages in simulations and I'm curious if these simulations include Shard of Woe and if Arcane Mages are still ahead without it.

Maybe they should move bone shield from U runes to B runes. And someone write it before about decrease cd on BS with using DS but maybe using HS or/and BB.

I'm don't like change with blade barier. With changes I write up it should not be passive.

And about spike damageon adds. Do you remember old Mark of Blood from WotLK. When you was hit you regain 2 % regen hp but it has 20 charges and 3 min cooldown(don't remember good) IF blizz will give it again but a bit change with cd, maybe 1 min and 30 charges. I'm don't want ability like pala or warr.

What you think???

where is the actual guide part of this post similar to every other class page. Where it lists rotation, spec, gems&enchants, glyphs reforging, BiS gear, etc.? Skimmed every page and havent found anything.

Didn't saw was this fact noticed here.
Some days ago we notised a strange bug. I think it's connected to legendary staff.

Take a look what we have:
Revelation 11 175.3 52.0 %
A trinket with 20/100 has an uptime 52%.

Then i observed chaotic procs of Theralion's mirror when our boomkin with staff was tormenting the dummy.

Im actualy playing elental shaman, ive been playing resto since cata started but for guild problems and personal preferences ive decided to change specc. Im not any pro player or similar but I like to know what is best for me DPS and apply everything i can to my shaman. Ive been seeing that darkmoon card: volcano is still a BiS even with HM equipment, but because im studying and engeneering and summer finished im not going to have many time to play from now on, I will go to my raids and save 2-4h/week to finish some HC or farm enough for flask and food but im not going to be able to farm or work hard enogh to buy a volcano trinket, so my question is: does this trinket really worth the money? I will really loose a lot of DPS? or is not so much the diference?

I need help figuring out a rotation for Prot, doing very little dps, which is proving to be an issue with tank switches, when ill taunt and HS/SS/Revenge, and as soon as my taunt fades, they walk right back to the other tank

Is the other tank holding back on threat once you taunt? Right after a swap, they'll have full vengeance, and you won't, meaning they can rip threat off you easily. It's their job to hold back for a short period of time.

Put Vigilance on the other tank to help out. On some fights, you can also intervene them for a quick 10% threat reduction, but on other fights (Argaloth, Beth'tilac, and perhaps Occu'thar come to mind) you don't want to be standing near the other tank, so that's not an option.

Maybe we should change the thread name to "Why DKs suck and every other tank is better" or perhaps "Blizzard please pay attention to our problems and post about them so we can tell you exactly why every idea you have or come up with to address any issue sucks, except for the one you said you can't promise you can do. That one of course is the one that will solve all of our problems and we are just waiting for moment when you don't implement it so we can complain more."

With almost every one here its what CANT be done, or why its HARD, or why every other tank gets this or that without having to do this or that. Frankly DK tank community, its embarrassing. Its embarrassing to see a community who would rather sit in a corner and complain about things than rather try to find creative, fun, and interesting ways to complete the current content. The only one in this community I have seen making an attempt at this is Rigs and he's done a fantastic job. He isn't saying we dont have problems under the current model of course, but his entire mindset is how to get it done with the tools we have (and honestly we have a ton of them) whereas so many of you concentrate on what CANT be done and why you can't do it as easily as every other tank spec.

I personally love the way DKs play. We aren't perfect. Neither is any other class. Are we the hardest to play among every other tank spec? Yes! But its hardly impossible. Is it difficult? Yes it is. And I like that. If you dont like it then play one of the "easy" tank classes and post in their threads about bow easy it is to play them over a DK and how DKs suck.

All I want to see out of our community is "CAN DO" not "QQ". We have more than enough tools to complete every single level of content in the entire game. Is it harder than other classes? Sure it is, but all that means is get your ass in creative gear. The more creative we are in the community and share tactics and strats like Rigs has then its only going to make all of us better.



And isn't that really what EJ is about?

I'm able to do a lot higher DPS with arcane than I can with fire or frost, though there are a lot of fights where arcane isn't practical because so little of it is instant cast. But I never use blizzard - arcane explosion does a LOT more damage than blizzard when you are specced arcane.

I have noticed a couple of odd things - when I started collecting T12 gear, my DPS took a huge hit. To the tune of 4,000 points. As I added more T12 gear and more level 364 and 378 rings and such - it has gone back to where it was but it surprised me that my DPS would go DOWN with better gear and appropriate reforges to keep my mastery, hit and crit balanced. It's almost worth NOT replacing any gear with T12 until you have at least 3 gear items from the Firehawk set.

And can anyone tell me why my crits are 20K higher on average against the large berzerker trolls that you fight right before Jin'do the Godbreaker in Zul'Gurub than they are against any other trash mobs? Do they have some kind of vulnerability to arcane spells?


I love this forum BTW - I have never seen so many well informed arcane mages in one place before.

I don't recall anyone complaining that Blood DKs are too hard to play (maybe I missed something). There's nothing hard or complex about our "reactive tanking" - it simply has frustrating mechanics that we're trying to solve. This community has offered many suggestions and I believe blizzard is borrowing some in 4.3. We're simply pointing out faults with the current and future DK tanking mechanics - it's called feedback.

There is absolutely nothing hard about playing a DK tank. It's a fun class to play and we're trying to help improve it while keeping the core mechanics intact. You want us to find creative, fun, and interesting ways to complete the current content? A lot of people have come up with great suggestions. Stacking stamina to survive the burst is one example of many.
