so this may be a stupid quesiton, but why is serpent sting glyph the "best" mm glyph when all it does is increase it's length, but chimera shot makes it so it never falls off anyway?

SERIOUSLY. READ THE THREAD. This question has been answered at multiple times. Please don't ask a question thats already been explained in extreme detail many many times.

Chimera uses a percentage of Serpent Sting damage to calculate its own damage. More ticks of SrS = More Chimera damage. Easy as pie.

@Kannos, the SrS glyph adds 2 more ticks and works out to 40% more total damage for a single SrS application. That total damage value is what chimera shot uses for the "Instantly deals 40% of the damage done by your Serpent Sting" part of the shot. It's also very nice for bosses like Emalon when an add MUST be burned down and switching back to the boss doesn't require a reapplication of SrS because the duration is longer.

This has been asked before, but finding stuff like this on EJ is a pain and "READ THE THREAD" when it extends over 50 pages, several months and a few patches is asinine.

Current spec 0/15/56
In this spec i had 5 points which i could use for either Demonic Power and Empowered Imp or Soul Leech and improved Soul leech.

Trouble tossing up between the 2 however decided for the Soul Leech/Imp SL.
Although against a dummy the imp bonuses would have done more dps however in instance the imp is very fragile and once saw it die no less then 5 times in boss fight, for a full destro lock without instance cast resummons these 5 points in Demonic Power and Empowered Imp could be wasted only a few seconds into a fight.

Using improved Soul leech you also find you dont need life tap as much and so use Incinerate/conflag/immolate glyphs instead of a life tap glyph.

Would just like some feed back to this decision as im still a little iffy about whether it was the better choice.

I have 3 questions connected with my dk. ( main spec tank, offspec dps, while i play 10 ppl and our warrior tank dont have dps spec so i dps on 1 tank bosses)
The World of Warcraft Armory

1) what is best dps spec for hodir? We try hard mode so we use this + dmg magic buff. Only magic attacks get benefit from it so i try use as much as possible those attacks. I tried Unholy at first but i`m not experienced in this build, my result was 4,5k dps with buff.
Then i respecced to Frost and use double disease rotation in Unholy Presence - result 7,5k dps. ( when i had buff IT and FS spam as much as possible). I was thinking about blood spec but all blood attacks are psyhical so will not take benefit from this buff. I was thinking that unholy ss spam will be best but my results are weaker...

2) Please look at my gear. I used to dps in frost UP build( i dont have FS sigil and i`ll not get it while i play now only 10 ppl) . But i have read that i can get better results in Unholy or blood build. What You can recomend me to respec - unholy or blood? Take in account that i got some ArP and its will probably will bad scale with Unholy. This is question about general spec, not hodir fight as in previous question.

3) Is FS takes benefit from ArP or not?

my imp suddenly just stopped auto attacking, he just goes into phaseshift and does nothing even when i shift it to aggressive mode. anyone has this problem?

i have been playing enchemnt for a while i used to raid alot in bc, now im in tier 7.5 gear enchment shaman ,my question for all of you is what am i doing wrong?my freinds who are less geard then me do 4kdps while i am strugelying to do about 3.7

Reading through the discussion on this thread, most people seem to recommend the Serpent Sting glyph for the ideal MM build. What is the reasoning behind this? Maybe I'm missing something very important (and I probably am), but isn't Serpent Sting supposed to be refreshed by Chimera Shot - which means it's duration is actually irrelevant?

You're well over the expertise cap, costing you some dps there in wasted stats. Aside from that, go to World of Warcraft - English (NA) Forums -> Enhancement for Dummies and figure out how to be more specific with your question.

Hello, I know this isn't technically a theroycrafting question, but what are (generally) the best addons for a raiding (or otherwise) retribution paladin? I am using Rawr for the upgrades, and of course Deadly Boss Mods, Omen, Recount, Auctioneer, and Questhelper for those odd daily quests I can't remember. I used to raid fairly regularly with these, but after a five month hiatus from the game, I am just checking to see if I am being as efficient as possible.

If this is not the correct post for this question, can someone point me in the right direction?

First post in this thread lists some commonly used addons. There's also another thread under paladin forums that's labeled "Ret FCFS Rotation Helper" that has a nifty addon you can use as well.

I think Ghostcrawler won´t bring up a "right" solution for us..... he isn´t smart enough....

Your link is to an empty spec. However, it sounds like you've got something almost identical to the standard Destro build (0/13/58) but have made some possibly bad choices. The extra 2 points in Demonology you've got can't be getting you any damage increases and from the sound of it you've given up Empowered Imp to get them.

And then you haven't taken Demonic Power from Destro which is another DPS increase which you've skipped for something mysterious which you don't need.
