You'd be replacing the neck and the trinket, likelihood of much else changing is fairly slim mostly because there are so few options this tier. Only AGI neck alternative from this tier is the VP neck, so you'd probably just want Rags normal anyway. And the Rags normal trinket would still be used in lieu of the heroic version. And obviously, you'd need to play around with reforging to get caps right.
Having just started playing my Shammy again after tanking 4/7 (guild needed the dps) it looks like i have missed a few things? Spell weapon for MH now? Or is that just what some of you are testing at the moment? (Cochice,Rouncer?) Just want to be sure I am getting the most out of my toon and you guys here have always been the go to guys for me. Any info would be most appreciated. Thanks!
Ok after reading some of the posts and using Landsouls spreadsheet I have managed to totally confused myself on which trinkets to use. I run SMF.
I do not have any heroic trinkets, my selection is the following:
I have tried all different kinds of combinations (always reforging to keep Exp at 26 and prioritizing Crit/Hit/Haste/Mastery).
I have the 4 piece bonus and for the majority 378 gear: Dinosm @ Tanaris - Game - World of Warcraft
After all kinds of combinations the best dps that shows on the spreadsheet is using:
Which makes no sense since everywhere I read Apparatus and even Dwyer's ranks higher.
We've had a 4.1 changes thread and a 4.2 changes thread. I fully intend to have a 4.3 changes thread, just as soon as we have something to discuss. At current, we really don't.
And, again, this really isn't a good thread to be discussing this in; feel free to PM me your concerns or whatever, but this discussion seems to me to be unnecessarily cluttering up this thread. I will probably go through and remove all posts purely discussing what threads things should go in sometime in the next week or so; but in the interest of addressing the concerns of anyone else wondering the same thing, I'm going to leave the answers here for a few days before doing so.
I was under the impression that the mirror had higher than average uptime (like a greatness card, only not quite *that* good) which was why many classes continued to use it well into ulduar. Maybe my memory is faulty, but I recall - at the very least - that mirror was regarded as a better-than-average trinket for its ilvl.
Edit: Nope, looks like my memory is playing tricks on me. It was subpar and probably still will be for rogues.
Of course it will be a nice bonus but since Atonement is seldomly more than 10% of your healing done it won't affect your total hps by much. And don't forgte that your caster DDs will really hate you for getting the staff before they do.
I have been researching the Colossus Smash effect today and I am not finding what I need. I keep seeing the "weakens their defenses" referred to as a debuff. If it is truly applying a debuff, does that mean that during the 6s. it is active that it also allows other raid members' attacks to ignore armor or just my own? The tooltip is unclear on this:
"Smashes a target for weapon damage plus 120 and weakens their defenses, allowing your attacks to entirely bypass their armor for 6 sec."
In the past I have read this to mean that it only affected my attacks due to the "your attacks" bit. So is the armor reduction effect of CS a true debuff or is it an effect that only the warrior sees?
If it is truly a debuff that benefits all, then is there in practice a reasonable argument to make multiple DPS warriors in a raid stagger their use of CS?
