That would require a significant overhaul of the way they create instances. What happens if you (and your Patchwork kill) come in halfway through the raid that just downed Raz? Would Patchwork just despawn?
I assume you wouldn't be able to join the raid until the raid leaves the instance.
Your gear isn't all that great (1116 Agi as SV seems pretty low). I'd suggest using [Relentless Earthsiege Diamond] for meta and change the gems around a bit (like AP/hit gem, AP gem, and haste/stam gem) for more agi, while keeping hit cap. You have no pally in the raid, which means no JotW, which provides huge amount of mana. It's by far the largest contributor to hunter's mana regen. You used Viper quite a lot, losing dps. Not having kings hurt a lot too, especially as SV which wants to have high Agi (basically missing over 100 agi). From WWS, I can't comment on the uptime of other buffs, like battle shout, TSA, Str totem, etc., but that may be another cause as well. I don't know what kind of dps you were expecting, but considering all these, I think your dps is about right.
In addition to the things Sihyunie already mentioned you could try to increase your uptime of serpent sting and explosive shot. During Loatheb and Faerlina (which are straight forward dps fights) your SS is at 71% uptime. Not only are you losing DoT damage here but missing more chances proccing LnL. Your ES "uptime" (meaning the ratio of time with ES on cooldown to combatlength) hovers around 86%, while it should be around or over 100% considering LnL procs. Last but not least you could try trapdancing, although it will be obsolete with 3.1.
Hello Fellow Retribution Paladins (from someone still getting better day-by-day)
On a slightly different thread....
First of all, I want to thank everyone on the for their inputs on this forum. I've made changes to gems, enchants, and even some changes in choice of gear. I'm not T7-decked-out (check it out) but I make do with a few pieces of T7 gear from Archavon...
In any case, two nights ago before I upgraded my pants, I ran OS25... No one died and Sarth went down fairly quickly, but I topped the DPS meters at 4.15k DPS (and did NOT get hit by the firewall!) Next closest was a 3.2k DPS. Needless to say I was stoked!!!
I really attribute it to this forum. I don't have the gear to be doing 4k+, or so I thought... between enchants, gems, attack rotations, flasks, food... well, I just wanted to say that in iLevel 187+200 gear, it is possible to break 4k!
Relating to 3.1, we shall see... My guild priest healer simply cannot keep up... I can't run any heroics with him without dying, and I don't think it's his ability or lack thereof... Priests don't seem to have a good multi-target heal similar to Druids, Paladins or Shamans, and it simply is impossible for he and I to run at the same time with Seal of the Martyr up.... and with Seal of Casino, my damage runs lower and I go OOM! Oh well.... I hope the next patch brings some help in this area!
Tbh I wish you would do your simcraft with both sets of sim having the same gear, easier to see what difference this patch will make then. At least for me personally, I don't give a rats ass what my dps might be when I get all this gear, cuz ulduar will be cleared and having the gear is kinda pointless then.
If the SA removal was intended(I'm fairly sure it is) then I'm really looking forward to how they fix our mana regen, and hope they actually remove recoil from blood, since it serves no useful purpose in PVE if SA isn't giving mana. It just seems like this was just a step in a bigger plan to fix ret, and I certainly hope I'm right If not we're more screwed than when we started.
On another note, 18 pages of excellent ideas on how to fix recoil on the WoW, and it didn't devolve into endless trolling and cries of OPness by other classes. I'm honestly impressed lol. Hopefully the Dev's saw it and took note of what the vast majority of Pallies can see will be a problem in the near future.
Well I was actually flagged for infracture there, and I have a good idea that something will be done to this post as well, but nvm that.
I feel it is a valid point to make, because the simcraft can, in some way at least, turn down all the crying that is going on on the wow forums about warlocks getting hit with the nerf bat. I see simcraft being linked on a lot of threads concerning warlocks doing less or more damage after 3.1, and I don't think people realise that it's not the same gear on the both of them. And to be honest, if we grab some of the best gear from ulduar and we end up doing less damage than we are now, or even just 200 more, it all feels like a waste of time to me.
If this idea has been kicked around I apologize.
I noticed that the there was a bit of a difference between the 40/31 and 28/43 and it didnt add up in my mind.
In the specs you trade 11% crit, some spell power from DK, and fire from the imp 2% and Decimation for
20% spellpower coefficient increase on Incinerate, 4% procing fire damage increase, (assuming 1% overall), and an on demand cast time reduction of 30% that is comparable to 20% Haste.
Trade the 3% fire damage from the imp for 3/3 molten core. running CoA and Corr, the uptime should be around 85%. Thats an effective 8.5% overall fire damage increase. (5.5% greater then the imp buff, 2.5% after crit adjustment) The DPCT of the 2 dots should be comparable to that of a non crit Incinerate.... So the dps loss of a potential crit would be offset by the 8.5% effective overall damage. (You could also get 1.68 second ish Soul Fire under Hero/Bloodlust, but I think the 3x 1second Incinerates might out dps it)
Oh yeah, last thing With this spec, you can factor the doom guard, as it will out dps the imp by 120 ish. (I think that will put it even with 40/31. (and I am pretty sure it will scale better with more spell power)
Can someone run the numbers for this?
PS Then again, I might just be missing something that is /facepalm
Someone already made that suggestion, ill quote zaka:
It may seem clueless to you, but it's based on tests showing the MD variant coming out on top by 10-15 DPS. I'd tend to agree that in practice it may be possible to squeeze a little bit more DPS from the MC build by being prudent about when to recast the shadow dots, but you're also complicating the rotation which would tend to make it harder to achieve optimal results.
In the end it's probably up to personal preference, but for the sake of this comparison I chose the spec that put out the most DPS in this simulation.
I just Created an Orc Warrior for the Increased axe expertise and the attack power racial. i plan to make this char into a tank at 80 but i just dont know anything about warriors. how should i put my talents into my tree and what kind of things am i looking for in gear i know str agi stam, and all the other goodies but what is most important?
