That's close but you don't start timing until after the first Bone Shield charge is expended (since that is the point it starts mitigating damage). So you'd have to do it like this:

3 charges @ 2 second ICD = 6 seconds.
5 charges @ 2 second ICD = 10 seconds.

That is obviously just the worst case scenario. Bone Shield uptime can be longer than that with avoidance, full Blood Shield absorbs etc.

Hi fellow warlocks long time lurker on the forums...

I would like to have your opinion regarding the debate about haste vs mastery.

I recently changed to demo and as i was reading the demo guide i quickly run into this debate in my mind.

Here is my profile ( i have a wrong major glyph -- i will replace incinirate glyph with immolate one)

As i understand you get an extra tick of corruption @ 1993 haste rating (with DI + 5% aura) ...

Now i know my gear are not the best (recently came back after a long break and started raiding) but i was wondering if it is better to aim for that threshold or just lay back @ 1573 haste rating (immolate tick) and stack mastery instead.

Im able to go over 1993 with some reforging/regemming but as you may see my mastery is about 600.

Haste also affects cast time so there is a debate on that as well, since in high movement fights im able to cast more..and generally not "feel" slow.

Anyway what would you do if you where in my place?

No. The on-use is better. Overall the EotEF is better. Especially considering it lines up with PoF, all your ghoul summons, and can be used in your opening with pre-pots and PoF where the apparatus can not because it takes time to build up 5 charges.

Already made a macro for that, indeed using this and then activating PoF does make a huge +str increase. Thank you for the advice

Stack Mastery. It is better than Haste especially if you Have the MWC as trinket.
Also you don't need to go for the Immolate Breakpoint cause of HoG which you will use on CD

Simcraft is telling me (as affliction) that I should be soulburning Soul Fire. Is this accurate, or just an overlooked bug?

Your right, the tooltip (which wasnt showing up earlier) shows 20%.
I liked the idea however of making those stacks less important. Too bad.

This change is taking shamans to the TBC days where you would take a sub-par class/spec just to get a buff. Addressing resto shamans issues is a welcome change but this is the wrong way for sure.

I've been looking through the tier sets and it seems like chest will be the obvious choice for off piece:

Colossal Dragonplate Battleplate - Items - Sigrie

Our tier set: Mastery expertise

And the offpiece

Valorous Chestplate - Items - Sigrie

Crit /Hit

Of course we havn't seen the changes for warriors yet, and they might buff mastery again.
