I was just wondering if we will see a change in the recommended spec before the end of the xpac to move away from Relentless Strikes if energy capping is such an issue?

Would it not make sense to go further into Coup De Grace and Ruthlessness and maybe quickening for mobility? I suspect the answer is no but thought it might stir up conversation.

Long time reader, 1st time poster. Regarding CTC, all the numbers I see pre heroic gear set tanks around 94-96% but that is dodge+parry+block, but that isn't counting the miss rate, which is 5% (7% NE) so thats how you reach CTC, am I right?
And if I'm correct, where does that miss% is coming from? I remember the old defense rating used to add it, but now?

I've been reading the forums for a while and as one of the old school frost presence followers i'm wondering what might be the BiS gear(I'm stacking mastery and crit) for such a method as well as priorities and what it performence compares to the other specs.

T13 stats been out on wowhead a few days.

Necrotic Boneplate Battlegear - Item Set - World of Warcraft

Socket bonuses are all strength. Also 3 socket items are awesome. Still, blizz decided to put crit on 3 pieces even though its the worst stat for both specs. Gloves or legs best offset piece (or chest if theres too much hit on other pieces).

A related query I've had is whether there is any point at which haste 'soft cap' as has been bandied about lately, allows a switch to FP - if haste reduces rune CD sufficiently to give more benefit from FP than we do from UP.

Your "method" is suboptimal, which is why people don't theorycraft about it. Regardless, crit would still not likely sim above haste. It's a gimmicky set-up, much like Shadowfrost and really should not be debated on the forums unless your own sim data substantiates using it. With absurd levels of mastery, Frost Presence might overtake Unholy; however in current gear setups there is absolutely no reason to be using Frost Presence except on extended AoE packs; which is still debatable.

I currently have the 391 Bandit Prince helm and the 4 other tier pieces. 378 gloves and shoulders, 391 chest and legs.

It is worth replacing the 391 tier legs with the 391 Alysrazor leggings, losing the 4-piece bonus but gaining all that sweet sweet mastery?

I really hope a 4.3 thread will break out as this one is getting ridiculously difficult to navigate. Perhaps its a bit early as 4.3 is only on the ptr, but seeing as this is the original thread from 4.0.6 I hope an update is in order soon.

Hi everyone, just one simple question about dk tanks:
Should I reforge dodge/parry rating into mastery?
I heard that this is the way to go, but I do much worse if I reforge dodge/parry into mastery. Is it better to reforge secondary stats into dodge/parry? How much should I reforge into?

I'm having a question towards this all theory crafting and agility fan-boying. As Paragons and Envys bear tanks are both going for full Stamina - which in my eyes is logical cause that buys more time for the healers.

Damage mitigation really isn't always good enough when it's not procing. Stamina is more stable and always there.

Does this come down to the fact that with heroic gear there is enough agility to play with without stacking it - or is there a point of view the majority of people are missing?
