hey guys, with 4.3 fixes crit seems to be good and viable stat for unholy, however it looks too random for me right now. Tried playing with with haste/crit ref and haste/mastery and analyzed crit percentage from 5 real fights with dummy 6 minutes each. Got mean crit percentage higher in the second set (lul) and very very very high deviations from that mean number. The test was conducted cs 85 lvl dummy ( 88 lvl has crit depression and i didn't have anyone to buff me the 5% crit standard raidbuff to compensate for that). One of the problems i see is that i tested with vessel of acceleration (h) and sometimes it stacked perfectly, sometimes i got only 1-3 stacks half the time and half the time 0 =( The question is, given the current amount of crit % should we stick to haste/crit ref? Cause from the real life poin of view it seems that u can go haste/mastery and just pray for crit procs and if it procs ur dps will be sky high.
SimulationCraft is taking into account the bleed debuff. Running two sims for a Fury warrior you can easily see that Deep Wounds is being buffed by the bleed debuff. If you compare the results using an Arms warrior, it won't matter, as Arms will apply the debuff itself.
I know simC is taking the Bleed debuff，but DeepWound took this percentage is too low . if Bleed debuff was not chosen, DeepWound is only 8% in the simulation result report...
When all debuff/buff chosen for simulate ,the results show that Deep Wound is only 12%. same as SpreadSheet.
But I saw the many wol that encounter Baleroc, Deep Wound always take the 16% or 17% . not 12%.
I do not doubt that your build did work for you in a way. This discussion isn't whenever only Haste or Mastery builds work, both do. In fact the numbers are rather close, but one of the two is slightly stronger. Depending on your progression you will have different needs and you may want to get everything out of your char you can get. However your char is only a tool, it depends on how you use it. This is the biggest factor of all.
Also you do not want to max all three stats with mastery, it depends a lot of you available gear but you just want to max mastery while keeping haste close to the lowest value(for additional ticks) you can get. That does not mean to drop to 496 haste...
On a practical note if you do only get mastery items, a haste build won't be optimal nor the other way a round.
Oh yea, but I'm not going for such a low value of haste.
I decided to keep with Mastery build and right now I got 9,04% (1157) Haste, 16.42 (1509) Mastery and 2616 Spirit, also 16.18% Crit. I believe for my current equipment these are the best values I can get, otherwise it would be really unbalanced.
I've done a DS run today with this build and had a average of 17k hps, in Warlord Zon'ozz 20k hps, but I had some problems healing the tank in Hagara's Focused Assault skill, because my heals, due to the low haste, are slow...so I had to use a CD everytime she used Focused Assault.
And I noticed that the druid on my core is not keeping up with my heals, I'm always the top healing done even with this "single target build", he's almost the same ilvl as I, so I see this in 2 ways: either this build is REALLY working or the druid is doing a bad job.
Also, I apologize if my last post sounded way too defensive.
What are your thoughts on replacing slam entirely with HS, and using the 2 Improved Slam Points elsewhere, such as Incite? I find that removing slam simplifies my rotation, gives me 2 extra talent points to boost HS, which is now even more valuable with the new 2-piece T13 bonus.
Slam does far more DPR than HS does, even taking into account Incite and the 2p bonus. There's no reason why you can't have 3/3 Incite AND Improved Slam, just drop your talent points from Blitz. Stick with MS>OP>Slam, but you can use HS 25% more often (unless if my math if off) with the 2p, which is a significant DPS boost by itself.
I normally tank but for DS I have been forced to go DPS for the one tank fights. I prefer to DPS in Arms spec, (never tried fury).
One issue I am having is what is the best way to use my cool downs and in what order should I pop them? Is it better to roll them from the start of the fight or burst them during bloodlust? I have 1 on use trinket, shattering throw, a shout (tier bonus), recklessness and Pots. Is it best to CS before popping cooldowns or after wards...
It has been probably already posted before, but the Quicksilver Alchemist Stone EP are incorrect : it seems it doesn't take count of the 301 agility on the trinket.
On another side, it seems we have the same problem for the Time Twisted Tunic (it says it has a 643 base value, which is incorrect considering the 366 agility it has...). They're currently both on my character, Serned on EU-Arathi.
Again, same problem on the Peroth'arn's Belt (value 426.6 ? It has 281 agility...)
Anyway, thank you for this very useful tool for us Rogues and good luck in fixing those bugs.
What are people experiencing in DS as far as DPS goes? More speicifcally on the later fights like Spine and Deathwing, I cant push buttons any faster and with other classes putting out 60k+ on Deathwing we just cant keep up.
