Where do you see that Bladestorm damage was buffed? I actually dont think it was which would mean its still a dps loss to use it on single target.

i was not buff, but bs was bugged.. it was doin 100% of bwd insted of 150%, it was in some patchnotes from lastest patches. There soooo many posts on battle.net forums about it

.. anyway bs is doin 150% and slam 145 + dmg based on ap (dunno that percentage), so slam wouldnt do mutch better dmg then bs. That means that DPR would play bug role in this case...

So, I pretty much did a quick scan of the thread. I'm trying to figure out if I should make the switch to Unholy, and mainly because of the tentacle sword. Now, I have 2 heroic cleavers, and the LFR Tentacle sword. I have heard that this thing can easily be 10% of total damage, or as low as 4% (still high), my question is, is it worth the switch for the LFR version of this weapon? Is it better than DW frost with 2 cleavers?

So on my paladin I currently have [Windward Heart] (yes, heroic), [Seal of the Seven Signs] (normal) and I also bought [Bottled Wishes]. Which 2 out of the 3 do you think is the best combo? Do you think either of the two 397s are situational? If so, for what hard mode fights?

From my testing on a target dummy, my average non-crit slams were doing an average of ~18500 while BS ticks were hitting for ~11000. So 2 slams were hitting for a total of ~37000 and 4 ticks of BS were hitting for ~44000. As for crits, 2 Slams were doing an average of ~82000 while 4 BS ticks added up to be ~88000(Slam does have the +20%crit bonus from impale).

Overall, I think it's worth it to use BS for 4ticks over double slamming(when those times come up). The obvious advantages is that it costs 5 less rage, potential for more damage and doesn't delay your auto attacks. Slam does have 5% more crit through the glyph, though.
Another interesting thing about blade storm is that the min/max dmg range seems very small. And maybe bugged as well. In my testings the average always seemed to be around 11k with the min being ~10500 and max ~11500. But I have had a few random occasions where a non-crit tick would hit for 14-17k and all the other ones would hit for around 10.5-11.5k. Not really sure what has caused this to happen, but has only happened 2 times out of ~70 BS ticks. Could be a bug with recount as well.

These tests were done with the following buffs:
Battle shout
10 stacks of Eye of the unmaking(403 version)
3 stacks of lambs.
Enrage
Blood Frenzy
Berserker Stance

Or character sheet stats were: 9455-11289 and 16615 AP.

From your previous post it seems like you're asking if it's worth using a full bladestorm. In short, no, it is not. You will end up delaying MS for 2 GCDs and lose out on a TfB proc. As well, the trade off would usually be 2 slams, 1 MS and 1 OP for a full 7tick BS(well, if you were to use it at the optimal time). While BS could(note: I said could) compete with dmg from those attacks(esp for the rage cost) you will end up delaying MS for too long and give up on shots at procs(enrage, battle trance and t13 4piece. as well as a TfB proc you will miss).

Nice post.. i had not chance to test it in wow, cus im not at home on christ. I was askin, that is usefull to use bs on single tar, and i dont mean full duration, just instead of slam, because of higher DPR. Anyway as i see dmg of bs still wasnt fixed as was in patch notes.. That dmg is same as your base dmg, so it is still just 100%, but in the tooltip is 150% :/. Anyway thx for your answer, today i'll be able to test it myself.

The very high (2m) ICD on Seal really turns me off. It's a throughput proc that will only occur a few times during the fight. I'm not really fond of healing trinkets that don't have Int on them though, because the consistency and larger mana pool of static intellect tends to perform better.

The Windward Heart has a low ICD and is reportedly performing well. I would definitely use it. It's a toss up for me between which of the others are worse, but I'd personally favor an on-use throughput increase to an RNG increase on a longish CD.

Otoh, if you don't feel like there's a significant lull in healing for a fight, the Seal would probably be better since it will provide more consistency, more mana, and in such a fight the proc won't be wasted.

Hi, I am new to posting on elitist jerks but have used the forums many a time to help with all my classes.

Id like to keep this short, and hope someone with more experience than me could help. as i am new to the tanking world and finding it hard to find clear info for patch 4.3.

1) Should i get the CTC cap of 102.4% and then stack stamina?

2) How do my enchants, reforging look and stats? or have I completely messed up? :S

I know that EP values don't directly correspond to one item always being a DPS upgrade or downgrade, but I do know that they can assist you for some quick gear comparison. That being said, Heroic Hungerer is showing as an EP upgrade over the new VP trinket, but yet Shadowcraft is showing this new VP trinket to be almost an 800 dps upgrade. Is anyone else seeing weird behaviors like this?

i am a bit confused atm, shadowcraft telling me the new 397 Vendor Haste/Use Trinket is better than Heroic-Matrix. Can i assume that this is correct ?

Ok so i did some math yesterday and i found, that bs is rly useless on single tar. DPR of HS with IR with 2-piece is still mutch lower then DPR of slam, that means, usin BS for cap rage to good usage of IR is rly dps loss.. Btw i found smthn like bug on ultraxion fight platform with Gurthalak. There is only one place, where u can stand. When u stay closer to boss, tentacle will spawn in air and would't do dmg and when u stay further, tentacle is out of range. Ive some logs of this:

This is kill of ultraxion, when i was stain on that place. When u watch other pulls there is no dmg by tentacle.. That only place where u can stay on ultraxion to do dmg with gulthalak is between 1st and 2nd closest line on groud to ultraxion, nearer to 1st line.. Thats just tip that i found there.. I find that the 4 pieces for warrior seems not so effective, i usually get 4-6 procs out of 43 Mortal Strikes, and most of the time it proc right after my own CS, since our normal rotation is CS--> MS
and this is the most recent log i got from a 5mins 26 seconds fight 10 man normal warmaster blackhorn with 4 procs World of Logs - Real Time Raid Analysis

Should i swap out my 384 shoulder for a ilvl403 shoulder from spine of deathwing? it is a 80 strength gain with extra critical rating and mastery rating, but i will lose the 4 piece effect if i do that.

Hi all, I'm sorry if these are obvious questions, but I'm a new 85 rogue of 3 days.

For combat:
Is it better to use SnD with 1 CP or 5? It seems like consistently using it with 1 CP when possible is better (using more energy but less combo points in the long run), but I don't know.
If it's better to use SnD with 1 CP, and if it's about to fall off when I have 3-5 CP, is it better to refresh SnD or let it wear off and use the CP for evis?

edit: Just remembered another question.
If I mess up and get 5 CP on a mob without RVS, is it better to use RVS before evis or just evis without it?
