At what point in a 10 man raid is it ever worth not being Demo and going Destro/Affly instead?
On many DS-HC fights, I see Destro as performing very well, with Bane for Morchok's other half, Bane when swapping to adds on Yor'Sahj/Warlord etc.
In fact the only fight that seem's solidly in Demo's favour is Ultrax. (and possibly spine, but we won't be doing this HC for a little while in my group).
My raid setup, caster wise, has myself, a Shadowpriest (that offspecs to disc for some fights), a Mage and Healers.
How much is that extra 4% spell power worth as opposed to the potentially better damage offered by Destro on the aforementioned fights, and in a 10-man situation, when, if at all, would it be recommended to drop the Demo lock altogether in favour of better damage offered by Destro/Affliction?
Not to mention Nether Prot seeming very worth it also on many fights.
greetings to all and big thank you for all the hard work done here. I kept reading the guides and everywhere its mentioned that for affl/destro 2681 haste is a good target to get the extra tick in during BL. What i did notice is that most of the warlocks in the bigger guilds run with 3k haste and im wondering why. Maby u guys can help me out. Thank you!
Hello, umm i know this might sound like a very noob question to most of you but i was wondering which of these is better:
i have 2 397 Experiment Slicer
and 1 390 Gur'talak
so i was wondering which is the best combination between these and which one should go oh and which mh.
also if i had 2 390 Gur'talak would the best combination change? thank you in advance to anyone that can answer this
I'm not certain if this is the right place to ask, but I have a question about rawr. Every time that I try to optimize on my mage, rawr tells me that downgrading from 2/4 t13 2set (one LFR and one normal) and getting rid of some 397 offset shoulders, swapping in my old t11 gear (2 of the pieces are normal, and 1 is heroic) for the 4set. Rawr seems to think that this is nearly a 2k dps upgrade for me, but I'm not entirely sold on that. Fire is a somewhat hard spec to test gearing options with, since even with massively long training dummy sessions, RNG can still give you some very different results.
Basically, my question is: does rawr have some improper handling of mage set bonuses, or is the roughly 5% haste that the t11 4set gives me really that much better than extra int and offstats?
For a full layout of the stat differences between the two sets, WITH the t11 set, I LOSE 20 crit rating, I lose 200 mastery, I lose 100 static haste, and the 10X50 haste from the t13 2set, and I lose 500 spellpower. I gain the 5% crit on pyro, (pyro is roughly 15% of my damage, so this is an overall DPS gain of about .5%). I also gain the 10% haste, which only applies to fireball. So, I get a 5.6% haste increase on fireball, which is 35% of my damage, working out to roughly a 2% damage increase.
My comment to the overall soloing thing: I'd love it to have a forum where we can post world first kills/kills overall with videos and discuss things. Sure, this thread is nice and Durendil's Blog isnt bad too but you have actually no overview and you gain bans very fast (that is no criticism, your forum, your rules!)
First off, hello, i have been a long time "stalker" of this thread as im a hobby-soloist myself, altho not at all as hardcore as many of you people here.
So i saw this the other day and thought it was a sort-of good idea to make a better place to put all the kills and discussions etc, so i went a made a minor website for the purpose. (And yes i am aware that the "graphics" are pretty horrible :P But im a coder not an artist lol)

This is a quick first make of the site, and it does not have a dedicated forum as of now, as im also little busy with school stuff atm. But you can discuss on each and every single boss page, aswell as claim kills etc.
Being mainspec tank I switched my offspec from fury to arms due to AoE requirements on single tank encounters (in particular Yor'sahj heroic 10) and decided to stick with it since it seemed to be doing quite well on Zon'ozz too. Now we are on our way to Hagara and I am in a difficult place regarding reforges. I do know what the 4.2 FAQ says about stat priority, however when using Simulationcraft I am put in a difficult place for reforges. SimCraft suggests that I should be using the following priority system:
Done for my armory profile which contains 2xt13; 2xt12; 410 Experimental Slicer.
Is it possible that such a high value of haste stems from the 2-piece set bonus of Tier 13 (also known as Inner Rage Heroic Strike spam)?
Hi,simcraft for arms warrior is done rly well.. I dont mean there is everythin wrong, but there are rly alot of thinks that are.. For example its showing that i have to do 37k dps on my charr and im normaly doin on ultraxion 43+ . u cant watch just that.. I tested almost everythin on arms durin 4.3 and i can say, that mastery is rly mutch better with 390+ gear (it doesn't matter if u haven't T13 or uve 2-piece or 4-peice)... When uve this lvl of gear u should go for max mastery as second stat.. About lower gear: when u get enought rage on every encounter without usin BS(to getting rage cap) and HS (to avoiding rage cap) u should never go for mastery.. I dont think, that when u've 380 gear ull have problems with rage in this case, so u still should go for mastery.. 2 piece for amrs isn't so usefull, but it's not useless.. now i use hs without IR just when my deadly calm is up, or when im wasting rage before using deadly calm.. In any other case its wastin rage. Hope this helped u..
