"Barely half" ? Are you serious ? Considering that Ignite coming mostly from Fireball and Pyroblast it will be nerfed 6% also and Combustion as well because it inherits same nerfed Ignite damage. So in my opinion its more like 80% of our damage got nerfed by 6% which leads to 4.8% damage lost overall.

Before I switch to arcane and fire spec due to guild requirement, I have run all LFR as Frost. In fact, it's pretty fun as always.

On Hagara, it's true that this fight is very good for Frost. On Blackhorn, it's very good for soaking damage and help your healer. We can make a very good burst on Tendons and we can be very good on Madness too.

But, I have tested the 4T13 bonus on the PTR and it's pretty bugged. You will have a second IV at the end of the first, and the third will be up after a full CD without any interaction with the Stolen time's buff. I can difficultly obtain more than 100k on Deep freeze and the overall damage is pretty poor.

In conclusion, how can be frost still competitive even in pvp ?
The more gear you have, the more huge the gap is. On Dummies, in a 10M damage test with the three specs, I have a difference between 3k and 5k. I will try to test it on LFR's Ultraxion to confirm it.

Ah, thats such a shame about OS... Real pain...

I would imagine that Razorgore has been semi-fixed. From what other people are saying, FD to reset or despawn mobs has changed a bit, so it still might be doable but might require new timing or a different approach.

First of all: Sorry for my bad english

My WL got ilvl 391 and through the circumstance my first specc is affli i reforge every mastery/left over hit to haste(first)/crit(second) where possible.

Is the only reason why i have to wait until ilvl 403 to reforge crit/haste/hit into mastery FOR DESTRO that at this point mastery profit better than crit vom int or why?

Could you append a table like in other guides, which multiplicator the stats follows. E.G.:

Int 2
Haste 1,5
Crit 1,4
...

Or, how can i get this table on my own?

If mastery for example is minor prior to crit i would pass on reforging, especially affli will be my fav spec.

Another little question is: Is there a big difference of the profit from the doomguard wether i have a int or a sp - onusetrinket?

You should try avoiding chaining DC's unless its to get stacks up on Timmy for transform. Even when using the Priority used in the OP you should be mixing strikes with DC's whenever your runes are on CD which should maximize your RC uptime.

Depending on the situation you can just use the death rune for a SS and IT with the frost. Not really sure if it's the optimal choice but that's what tend to do when it happens.

You should never cap your RP, you should always DC if your next strike will cap you out unless it's during Hero/UF where you will prioritize your strikes anyway given that your pet is transformed.


I believe it should be accurate, if not I'm sure someone will correct me and I can edit it

Pyroblast and Fireball nerfs also affect Ignite damage and thus even Combustion damage, so close to 6% overall is probably how it sums up.

I wouldn't do this, if for some reason you have managed to get Death Rune and Frost Runes mixed I would quickly look at the disease timer, if they are sub 15 seconds I would FeS away them both thus resetting your runes to what they should be. If they are above this time frame I would SS the Death Rune and then DC for Runic Corruption and continue as normal, I would never waste Runes on IT unless I was doing my AOE rotation.

@Frostzillah I would be careful with your comments as hand-holding can gain you an infraction, if you need any info on Unholy DKs I will gladly answer then via PM.

I thoroughly enjoyed Frost in T11 and T12 raiding. However, due to the nature of ratings caps the spec has fallen flat in the first part of this raid tier. Basically gear is forcing us to overtop our crit cap, which is wasted point allocation on 55-60% of your damage inputs. Additionally, once you've pushed past the soft haste cap and start reforging into Mastery, you are only affecting something like 40-45% of your damage with your point allocation there as well.

It's a sad state of affairs, but Frost had a good run. I'll be happy to pull out the WE again when ratings ratios go back down in MoP.

Has anyone compared the DPS of the LFR version of Gurthalak, Voice of the Deeps with the 397 Mace / Axe available from regular DS? I have both the Mace and the LFR Sword, I've read that the LFR sword is still better for Ret (even after the hotfix) does that compare for Arms / Fury as well?

I was just wondering if anyone would be able to quickly let me know if my haste is correct without receiving DI. From what I've read, getting 1505 haste w/ 2pc t13 is a must for an additional tick of Combustion. Was just interesting in knowing if my reforges are correct, and if my current hast value is also correct.

hello all

my Roatation is pyroblast- livingbomb -flameorb -miror image- fireball ( all the time ) and when the hot streak happens ı press pyroblast again and when the all dots on the target ı press combustion

its ok ım doing 25-26 k to the 88 dummy at the begining but when the combustion finishes my dps down to 20 k dramaticly sometimes 18 k .

as you understand how can ı hold the dps or how can ı do more dps than that and what is the best spell rotation forme pls check my char Tinywizz @ Terokkar - Game - World of Warcraft

Here's a list of what I actually knows as broken on the Frost spec's:
  • Both critical rating and haste rating can be capped, making Mastery rating the only useful stat.
  • Tier 13's bonus with 4 pieces is bugged. Icy Veins don't reset correctly the Stolen Times's buff.
  • DTR's proc is partially broken. It take 2 FoF's stack to take it into account, one for the spell and one for DTR. If there's only one FoF, the spell will use it (Criting and using Mastery) but the DTR's proc don't benefice from it (normal damage, no mastery).

There's other things that can't be considered as broken. But they have an impact on the game-play:
  • AOE's damage because Blizzard don't use FoF.
  • Movement DPS because there's nothing to proc FoF and/or Brain Freeze apart from a 25s cooldown.
  • Range why Frost is the only spec capped at 35 yards ?

We can thinking of some way to fixing or improve the spec, like making Piercing Chill to cleave, buffing the DOT of FFB, making it proc from stacking the slowing debuff, improve Deep Freeze immunity, et cetera.

Like Kuni from MMO-champion's forum, I think that the PVP argument and the better survivability is just excuse for not saying that the dev are on MoP and that they don't want to make effort on working on it. It's only fact.

Like some of us, I support the Frost spec even if we are obligated to play Fire and arcane for raiding. I do it since Woltk.

In conclusion, apart from a Christmas gift in the 4.3.2, I will follow what is proposed for MoP and play Fire.
