Leveling is a joke these days, especially as a warlock - so it really doesn't make much difference what spec you level with. If you're seriously interested in min/maxing leveling, your best bet is probably Affliction > Demo >>> Destro.

My preference for leveling has always been Affliction for the huge mobility, little downtime, and ability to drain-tank if needed. Use the Imp for free damage until you get to 30 for the Felhunter. Points would be something like this. After you pick up Haunt, go to Demo then Destro since you'll be in your 80's and doing more difficult dungeons for sure.

Weapon Progression:

I was wondering if someone can be kind enough to sim these two weapons for me:

[No'Kaled, the Elements of Death] vs [Morningstar of Heroic Will]

Stat wise pawn rates [Morningstar of Heroic Will] 20% upgrade which it is stat wise but my concern is proc wise.

So my question is will the proc rate of [No'Kaled, the Elements of Death] out preform the stats of [Morningstar of Heroic Will]?

Thanks, I would run the sim myself but I can't at the moment nor I have the setup it either also since it is a proc rate issue vs flat stats I know some on you enjoy a good math riddle.

I feel like my dps isn't what it should be, even though I don't have 4pc or many T13 pieces. In my rotation/ability-usage, stat priorities, etc., can someone see a potential cause of the low dps in these world of logs parses? One was a normal madness 1 shot and then some firelands heroic. I'll also upload a parse from Morchok heroic and warlord normal. Keep in mind my Morchok heroic dps was low due to having to feint stomps.

From the wording I would assume it doesn't. It seems to me Blizzard have been very particular in writing your for each effect indicating that it will not effect anyone else standing it.

Anyway, my problem is as follows: I have an ILvl of 397 with a HC Hand of Morchock. I am specced for the Rune Tap Build and Hastefrost. My DPS ranges from about 25K on Hagara to "*K on Spine and 30K on Ultraxion. Is this about the normal DPS Range for my ILvl or am I doing something wrong?

I have to admit that I generally just mash the keys and hope for the best. I do try and click on OB when KM procs but I also use HB alot. I have read the thread regarding Masterfrost but know that I would not be able to use the Runic Power properly (Above 60 FS, Below 60 HB, etc....). I will end up just going back to mashing the keys. Does anyone else just mash the keys or do u generally wait for the Runes to deplete or refill etc...

I know this sounds like I am a complete noob and apologise but it has kept me going this long (I have no idea how) but I think that there is something else that I can do to improve my DPS. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Have just read through some more of the posts here and would like to know whether Hastefrost or Masterfrost is the best DPS or does it depend on the fight?

Also, for help with the above noob questioning I have posted my haste is currently at 2575 and my Mastery is at 1076. Is there a haste cap for Hastefrost?

Finally, what are the best trinkets? I currently have Eye of Unmaking and Bone-Link Fetish...have read that Creche is also a better choice than Bone-Link Fetish.

The above questions are in relation to progression in HC DS.

Should I keep Fear and Vengeance equipped or switch to Blade of the Unmaker and Electrowing Dagger?

ALL of these questions are answered in this thread or with common sense. There is a simple Q&A thread which you should use for this type of posts. But still...
-Mashing is obviously bad, get a resource addon (like DDR) and learn to use it.
-Amount of haste depends entirely where you feel comfortable. 2.6k haste/1.1k mastery sounds like a lot esp. with 4 set though.
-Masterfrost will end up doing more damage on almost all bosses because of adds and being able to cleave. Normal obli prio and masterfrost are also very close on pure single target fights (ultrax), so unless you like reforging 24/7 you should learn masterfrost. Or just play unholy except for the last 2 bosses.
-Spine trinket is BiS. Bone-link and creche are extremely close, depends on the fight a bit.
