Tyvi, I have been reading EJ for years but never posted anything. And I don't even play a DK. Well, I have one at 57. I'm more of a ranged caster type myself. But I came across your guide yesterday and read nearly the whole thing just because it is such a well written guide! I wish to find one for the specs I actually do play that is comparable to this. I referred the main tank I raid with who play all 4 tank specs to read this for info on blood spec in MoP and he started reading it and immediately thanked me for tipping him off to such an excellent guide.

I'm not sure if the discussion about RF is about using the first pre-readiness RF during BW, or about using all RFs during BW.

Personally I use RF (all but the first) to make up for the downtime on FF (which happens quite often). No maths in this though, just my statement. Using RF in this way helps keeping a steady DPS. Just another thought.

Did you take into account the 3% Crit reduction on boss? Making the shatter cap to 28%


Will you add a curse version ?

I cant see any reason why not use Divine Purpose...I m testing it for like 2days Now when i WoG with 2HoPo i had about 70-75% percentage of getting another proc.Delaying the use of DivP makes u easily earn more HoPo 6sec 2GCD + CS-J.I dont really like the Mastery thing ....hit haste ....if its like this i will play with retri gear and just reforge out some stats....Ofc is personal preference.

And Dunno if anyone else here test what SoI can do i m selfhealing all the 5man HoT HC at the moment(healers asking me t stop cus they are tired...) I tried it out at Morchok but stupid me dont get a print.But my Hps using SoI after 1min of fight t build some threat up was at 8k HPS....SS-WoG-DivP-ShoR
Also with what i saw u can WoG to full heal even at Yor with 8stacks and only DP up as a buff maybe DA if u dont get a DivP proc...is ridiculous...Ultraxion keep the 3HoPo stay out SoI up and at 6sec u are fullhealed all those is done with communication with my healer just in case something wasnt going right.
Yes i know that dps is dps but still sincei wanna stay alive the more i can when i took a 35k hit i want t absorb it as fast as i can and WoG with 2HoPo crits for 49k. CTC is dead SoI seems that can help the healing a lot i m putting it on.Ofc switch so SoT when more dps is needing not bad but stil i m tank i dont wanna do dps.I wanna stay alive and i want to absorb as much incoming dmg as i can when i am taking a 35k hit i want t absorb it as fast as i can and WoG with 2HoPo crits for 49k. Our threat is not problem but when CTC is far from cap doign dps is not our goal.And plz if soemone can provide stats or maths i would be grateful.
Btw HoPoREgen is our goal.In full REtri Gear reforged to full haste and stats are 1327/10.36% 4.5sec CS reduced to 4.08sec
and J reduced to 5.44sec i dont is even possible t reach those numbers as a Prot geared Pala if u want some dodge-parry stat on your gear.

Not enough choices I find...
A tier with 2 choices like 2x1hand or 1x2hand could have been nice (adapted with each specialisation of course).

I hope PvE Boss will have lot a mechanism to make them usefull. It seems very PvP oriented for me, or just 1 choice for tank...
I guess you have test MoP. Is there Kitting, spell kick, waves of adds, etc. ?

Instead of casting AM when it comes up at 1-2 stacks would it be better to hold onto it and cast AB til ~4 stacks for higher AM damage?

To my knowledge both wolves and fire elemental SHOULD be reactive to buffs, meaning if you gain a proc or something while they are active they get the bonus. But I have heard rumors all over the place for all classes with pets/guardians that not all of them are actively working this way. There was something else I remember about the reason why you want to put your stronger weapon in your main hand, something like it misses fewer times along with it being used more for specials, but I am not 100% sure on it and cant do the research atm to back it up.

(120000 * 0.4 + 4985)*1.05 = 55634 damage per Rune, 111268 damage for 2 Runes

Normalized to Death Strike at 100% and 2 Runes, we get:

Death Strike: 100%
Heart Strike: 106%
Death Siphon: 127%

For AP breaking points:

- You need 55870 AP for 2xDeath Siphon to do the same damage as 1xDeath Strike with a T14 normal weapon
- You need 65463 AP for 1xDeath Siphon to do the same damage as 1xHeart Strike with a T14 normal weapon



So for heroic with the 600% damage taken debuff it is clear that Death Siphon is ideal to not only keep you up but also do the highest possible damage during his vulnerability phases. One Death Siphon alone will do ~390k healing which should easily keep you alive.
Maybe for the damage(replacing Heart Strike, as you say), but Death Siphon still doesn't give you bloodshields, so in terms of survivality it gets pretty strange.

Can't get above 38k on Madness HC. I lacked on earlier bosses aswell. Poppin' all my CD's on the first platform and so on but I make sure I have them available for the mini-bloods on the last platform.

I've reforged Haste > Mastery though I haven't switched yellow gems yet. Disregard the agi+hit gem on belt!

This is only the second night I'm playing post-patch so my rotation probably isn't 1000000%, but we're hardly talking about a 15-20k increase even if it was.
