Does have anyone already tested the difference between 502 Starshatter and 496 Sha-Touche 2H Weapon + 500 str gem dps wise? I can't test it myself atm because I'm on a different computer. Any help is appreciated.

Just to clarify which and why this trinket is better than another.

Atm i just know, that Bottle if Infinte Stars is for sure BiS.

Anyone able to provide specifics on weapon ilvl impact to DPS?

i.e. if you have 2 ilvl 463 Weapons equipped, then upgrade your mainhand to a 489 weapon - what's the projected DPS increase?

In addition, when you upgrade your off-hand from 463 to 489, what's the projected DPS increase? I'm assuming it's not as great as the mainhand increase... but have no clue.

Blood Tap removes a layer of RNG, and you can easily oblit right after a KM proc without having to wait. It also eliminates the problem that sometimes (albeit rarely) RE will leave with 2 unholy runes and no death runes for a few seconds (by proccing a depleted U while the other U is almost ready).

I realize with BT, each FS is mathematically equivalent to 40% of a rune while RE has a 45% per-FS chance of proccing a rune. But BT is in your control while RE is not. With Frost DPS relatively dependent on procs, wouldn't BT be a much better choice than RE? (Sort of like on use trinkets better than proc trinkets, even if theoretical max uptime is smaller)

I second this. Can we get an elaborate pov from someone more experienced with real life handling of this aspect of the rotation?

Is it not necessary to reach expertise cap as Assassination? Just wondering due to reforge results from Shadowcraft not trying to hit expertise cap after recently running my character through it (choosing more mastery instead of expertise).
I understand mastery is worth more dps than dps lost from not capping expertise, but it's hard to get my brain around the idea after trying to hit cap since MoP released.

I'm a long time reader first time poster and I switched to raiding on my rogue for mop. I am in a 16/16N 2/16H 10man and looking for a few parsing rogues/ranking rogues who would be willing to add me to realID to talk about minmaxing and t14 mechanics.

redacted is my realID and this is something I'd greatly appreciate.

Again looking for some top rogues who are preferably 16/16N to answer some basic questions and some more elaborate ones.

Hey all, just a little question or two here, I understand the reasoning behind presence of mind giving you instant pyroblast, i was wondering if anyone had checked to see if the DPS is more using scorch instead? Also is there any other way to speed up fireball as I fell this is more than just a filler spell. I recently came 2nd in the dps charts with 4 other characters all at level 90, my fire mage was level 88. The normal rotation seemed to be okay, but found there was lots of lost casting time waiting for spells to become available. Ok I am not maxed out yet which would have some derogatory effects on a smooth rotation. I have found that when spamming fireball my dps improved dramatically, and found that actually not using presence of mind mattered all that much as my combustion/critical pyro timing seemed quite good. Although I am yet to try scorch, was wondering what your thoughts were, I am about 70-80% from max dps i rekon at the mo with the level 88
