Anyone able to provide specifics on weapon ilvl impact to DPS?
i.e. if you have 2 ilvl 463 Weapons equipped, then upgrade your mainhand to a 489 weapon - what's the projected DPS increase?
In addition, when you upgrade your off-hand from 463 to 489, what's the projected DPS increase? I'm assuming it's not as great as the mainhand increase... but have no clue.
This isn't going to be a very mathy response so take what I say with a grain of salt, i.e. your mileage may vary. Getting Elegion gave me roughly a 5-10k DPS increase almost across the board. Part of that may because I was getting kind of demoralized with having barely gone up in damage while everyone else got their weapons so I started getting sloppy but it's a very noticeable increase even ignoring that. Not sure how much help this is but if you're willing to sim it you could get a much more accurate, at least technically speaking, picture of how it'll effect you.
Hope that helps, even if only a little and in a very vague kind of way.
Hey have some questions about 2H, a "soft" haste cap does that exist these days? cuz im currently sitting on 7k atm and thinking at some point the values should change and start making crit / mastery looking better for us.
And also i have a question about Soul Reaper, as OP says its highest in prio atm, but im thinking due to our low critchance ( atleast me 7.69 ) is it worth taking a KM procced OB over a SR , du to the fact that the uncritted dmg of a SR aint to much higher then a noncrit OB?
As long as you don't end up capping on energy when you use it during AR, then there is no problem with doing so. Indeed, if you're using AR and Shadow Blades together, this will be optimal. Obviously you will be able to use it between ARs, as well. Most likely you will be able to use it with first AR, on CD, during second AR, etc.
first lets me say that this is a great fourm and a great thread.
and for my question.
what do u think is better for us, [Screaming Tiger, Qiang's Unbreakable Polearm] - that come with Agil, but 871 mast.
or [Lightbreaker Greatsword] that come with Strg. and 681 mast.
i've checked, and with my gear, the lose of Strg. is a bit less then 1% Parry.. so its not all bad...
Is anyone getting readings from Shadowcraft where it is placing Crit just slightly ahead of Haste in reforging for Assassination? Since reaching above 490 gear level I've been getting Crit scoring higher than Haste in value...
Imo 4 set is not worth it at the moment. And if it's 10% more healing from DS OR 800 mastery (~9% of DS heal as absorb) - mastery is a clear winner here.
The first reason is that abosrb is imo better then straight up heal from DS. Often we get heal split second before we DS, and straight up portion of DS healing is lost. But mastery bubble can't overheal (unless we cap it, but it's unlikely during constant boss dmg).
Second point is gearing up the team - thing that comes up most often during progression is "we need more dps" - so giving tokens for dps first will help your progression much more then 1,5% self heal increase for you.
So go for 2 set, as other people mentioned that it's pretty damn good, and don't even bother with 4 set at the moment. If they fix (or just balance?) it to be on par with other 4 set bonuses, then it will be worth it. If they don't - stick to offset pieces for imo better survi.
EDIT: About 'bursty' content - I still have a lot ahead of me in terms of progression, but so far I didn't face any content 'bursty' enough for me to change my mind about our 4 set bonus being crappy. Hardest hitting thing so far is Meng the Demented on Four Kings HC meele when he's on ~90 energy. But that can be easily managed with our cooldowns (and we have A LOT of those).
seal of truth provides 12% wep dmg + censure, while seal of justice provides 18% wep damage and a permaslow (while within melee range).
im guessing the damage output of censure would eventually overtake that 6% given enough time to tick at 5 stacks, but im interested to know what period of time we would be talking about here. if i can assess an enemy and determine the fight will be short, what sort of fight length would be recommended to stick with SoJ instead of SoT?
another short query somewhat relevant to this, Judgement's tooltip still advises it unleashes a seals energy. how does this mechanic work with SoJ and SoT? does it apply the extra % wep damage to the judgement? i know it applies censure, does it apply SoJ?
(and no im not a big fan of seal swapping mid fight, i like my GCD put to good use)
Well, ok, it took me 5 tries to get the dps right. But to those you might add the first 200 tries on him in 10 heroic at level 85, that's how I got the strategy for phase 1. Let's just say I was in phase 1, that my pet had died, I had necrotic plague and the lich king wanted to kill me - and FD was on cooldown.
You'll understand when I post the video, but maybe you can already guess how I survived infests.
GG dude it seems that HLK 25 need just better stuffs.
