I just said is a bad boss example for any kind of rotation conclusion. My guild for example makes me kill 3 of the 5 Protectors, and reset with frequency Overcharged (the two things are linked of course, you kill Protectors for easy resetting). I also have to reset every Spark on phase 2. I can't top meters that way (I think I'm ranked around ~60 in Elegon), but the boss dies so I don't care.
Anyway this has nothing to do with FoF or not to FoF, I was just telling Halens that you can't take one log on Elegon as the holy grail of monk dps because of reasons.
No, I'm not telling you that. But with personal experience you need multiple iterations, and test every possible rotation to conclude something, not only 1 rotation. That's why simulators are needed when they are perfected as you'll never have 1000 Elegon logs with the same gear for each possible rotation. Is like I eat a couple pears and I post that the pear is the sweetest fruit ever. Maybe it is, but few will believe me.
And as Littch says, Gara'kal is a best rotation test anyway.
My issue with sims is they are highly in accurate. You take a simulated event and you try to base your performance off of that when these encounters are dynamic. Yes it's a controlled environment however, you're trusting a guy ( in this case guys ) to accurate code, calculate and understand mechanics and not make any mistakes. If you're theorizing based on inaccurate information exactly how are you right?
i've been using shadowcraft throughout cata and just found out that it's working for 5.1 now. I've been reforging stuff based on the basic "7.5hit/exp > mastery/haste > crit".. however, in using the auto-reforge with shadowcraft, it's suggesting to reforge things into crit and mastery from exp and haste.. so it seems like the priority with shadowcraft for assassination is "7.5hit > mastery/crit > haste..... exp". Is that right?
Hello fellow shamans !
I'm a new user of simulation craft (used enhsim before ).
I have a quick question : while using the scale factors in order to check the gear updates, I'm surprised to find out that the "2stats" gems currently proposed are a combination of Hit or Expertise (and then mastery) . Shouldn't the gemming option favorize Agility by all means once the Expertise cap has been reached ?
Could someone explain to me how to modify the gemming' options in order to optimize gemming suggestions as well please ?
Thx alot !
