I didn't know where to ask this question, but as it pertains to hunters in this case, here goes:

Is there a list of U.S. servers that DOES NOT have Cross Realm Zones? CRZ has made it nearly impossible for me to find rare spawns to tame on my hunter alt.

Should i gem 160 str gems on yellow and blue sockets if the gem bonus is haste, crit or hit? and only follow colors if bonus gives strength?

I have currently done that, but rawr is telling me to change gems.

Im using 2H btw.

Thanks, but no. There is actually no information about 2 targets. Theres "single target, stationary", "single target, movement", and "area of effect" aka 3+ targets. So there's basically a cap between 1 and 3 targets. I would love to know what the most optimal rotation would be for this situation, as it seems to be fairly common in both dungeons and raids.

I currently have Claws of Shek'Zeer(LFR+500agi gem), and 2x Gara'Kal, Fist of the Spiritbinder (1xNormal/1xHC).

Does the 500 Agi gem make Claws(LFR483) > Fist (Norm489)?

nvm.... 500 agi... why am I even considering the other one...

5.2

Coming changes (mostly PvP)

The following changes are currently on the table for 5.2:

Life Cocoon will be undispellable and won’t interrupt the cast at the end of the effect (and players will also be able to jump as well).
We’re working to resolve the issues with Renewing Mist not being able to be used while mounted, though it will dismount the caster after it is cast.
Soothing Mist will no longer be able to be Purged, so it will work in a manner similar to the Priest's Penance. It will still be considered a periodic heal.

Looking into BiS 2H's pre Heroic Shin'ka with VP upgrades.

H Starshatter at 510 with both VP upgrades vs Reg Shin'ka at 504 with legendary gem and both VP upgrades.

Most everything I've read and sims I've seen have H Starshatter above based on weapon dps alone.

I'm curious if someone has run any sims where Shin'ka came out higher and what they are based on. Str vs weap dps + reforging/gemming.

Sun-Lute for Ret

Does anyone know if [Sun-Lute of the Phoenix King] can be upgraded with Justice/Valor points? If so, would the upgrade make this weapon BiS normal for Ret for both the damage range as well as the weapon speed?

Let's see. It has less weapon dmg than the 496 Shin'ka. It has less strength. It has less crit. It has less mastery. It has no Sha-Touched socket. It barely beats 489 Starshatter's top end and has worse low end. And loses to Starshatter in Str/secondaries. And it can't be upgraded, per Wowhead comments.

What do you think?

By the way, you could have answered your own question by looking at the items on Wowhead.

But any recommendation of the form "always pool to X energy before casting Y" is going to be wrong.

I will also note, for the record, that there is nothing you can do to optimize your cycle that will increase your DPS by 10k unless you were doing things wrong to start with. That is: while the generally recommended cycle on these forums may not be perfect, its provably not 10k worse than perfect. If you're seeing a 10k improvement purely through cycle adjustments you've made, one of two things is happening:
1) RNG
2) You're better at playing your "new" cycle than you were the old one, such that you're letting energy/CP cap less, wasting less energy/CP, etc.

could somebody who killed him recently give me some hints in terms of gear?

imo gem routine is going to be agi/stam for more guard absorb and EH.

suggestions pleased!

I recommend you switch to an Effulgent Primal Diamond for the fight.
