Has there been any simulation done into playing Arcane and staying at 6 stacks, using Scorch when you drop below ~85% mana and only using Barrage if you get very unlucky and get to the point where your stacks are about to fall off without getting a Missile proc?

It anecdotally seems viable, at least.

changes in the warrior universal cooldowns

took a break in game for a bit , so if what i mention or talk about has already been mentioned please pardon my tardyness. but there has been a few changes to the warrior abilities i think need to be mentioned. close to half of the warrior abilities no longer have a universal cooldown which it great , but not quite the point . meaning for instance pummel, demoralizing shout, spell reflect, mass spell reflect, disrupting shout, disarm, sheild block and sheild wall. and our 3 primary abilities dont cost rage any more devastate, shield slam, and thunder clap. not to mention cleave and heroic strike also dont share a unversal cooldown .

with these facts i noticed that i can maximize dps , while keeping full midigation up by using macros linking affensevive abilities w/ midigation abilities at the same time . linking

#showtooltip devastate
/cast davastate
/cast demoralizing shout

may not sound like much but keeps demo shout up for 10 sec out of every 60 for zero rage and not costing you cooldawn in dps

linked shield slam w/ shield block, thunderclap w/ shield barrier, devastate w/ pummel ( on pummel key on action bar) devastate w/ shield reflect, devastate w/ mass shield reflect,

and for quick gain in tps and dps burst( glyph of incite )
#showtoottip cleave ( or heroic strike for single target)
/cast Devastate
/cast Cleave
/cast Deadly Calm

not only will you land bith shots per universal cooldown for 3 shots but cost you no rage , and if you do spam it till out of ragfe you still land devastates

Hey,

Ok, I checked the patchnote about Glyph FS,but seems to be optimum with best in slot ? Right ? Like you said ?
I dont really think with my stuff, that grant my DPS at the end ?
Exactly do we need to wait for the 4 pieces of T14 or can I change this FS glyph before ?
Something I cant find really with Totemspot.com or other website about Enhancement, how much "Mastery" do I need for upgrade my "Haste". At this moment i'm nearly 50.00% of mastery !

Oh god!

Please don't use your cooldown in such a random way.
Our abilities are too powerful to just spam them and waste their utility.

Your makros are also just silly,
why use Cleave before Deadly Calm?

On the topic of gear, for an orc rogue, which would make a better combat OH, Gara'kal or Spiritsever? My MH is Claws of Shek'zeer just fyi. The primary reason for having a fist OH is the orc racial, granting added expertise. But Spiritsever has sufficient expertise to keep my OH above cap, plus it's sha-touched so I can gem it for 10k. Ideally I would like to have a second Shek'zeer as an OH but haven't been fortunate enough to get one. So, keep Gara'kal or spend the 10k++ to gem/enchant Spiritsever and use it?

The best way to answer a question like this is plug both options into Shadowcraft.

That being said, the legendary gem is unique-equip, and since Claw of Shek'zeer is Sha-touched you should just gem that one. Therefore the only real question is the ilvl. If you have a normal Spiritsevere it will have a higher ilvl, so I'd venture a guess it would be the better option.

Hmm Shadowcraft shows a DPS loss of 50.9 using Spiritsever with same enchant and reforge for haste so that puts the weapon swap firmly into the cosmetic category. Guess I'll just keep the weapon for my assassination spec.

What would the order of trinkets be regardless of mana regen? I'm looking at a trinket based strictly on healing thru put as I seem to be getting plenty of regen from spirit elsewhere and the TC and WS glyphs. Normal mode 10 man raids.

Right now I have relic of chi'ji and thousand-year pickled egg. I have the valor to pick up scroll of revered ancestors. Is that better or should I just wait for the jade courtesan figurine or spirits of the sun?

I guess I shouldn't say 'regardless' of mana regen. But its a lower priority for me from trinkets and the discussion on page one seems to focus on mana regen capabilities almost more than healing thru put. I guess what I'm really asking is - as people gear up and the need for mana regen diminishes how does that affect the value of trinkets (non-heroic progression).

Ive been reading this thread and there seems to be tons of great info for lvl 90 raiding hunter BM... but I am only 85 and just started MoP... I knew my shot rotation and priority before MoP came out... but now I am lost again...

I am curious what would be the best shot rotation for single small targets that I come across while leveling? I have been opening with Serpent Sting, Kill Command and then spamming Arcane, with an occasional Cobra Shot to gain focus. I of course always use Kill Shot when it comes up. I really dont use Lynx, Dire of BW much because of the cooldown time... I encounter half a dozen more targets even before those become ready again.

Id really love any and all advice.. even if it is to say I am doing it all wrong

Seems like they messed up DRW even more.

Since this week it takes about 1 second after being summoned for it to actually copy abilities now making it harder than it already is to multidot with DRW up.

I really hope they'll one day change it to actually just copy whatever I do on my target instead of randomly selecting it's own target and casting pestillence (ought to fix Roiling Blood + DRW while they're at it) on another, diseaseless target *sigh*

long time lurker, first post.


Im not sure i have enough evidence to be 100% sure, will know more after tonights raid as i only noticed it at the end of last raid last week. So previously i was pre-shielding tank and off tank with illuminated healing shields out of combat, before pull, essentially giving me dual 130k hp shields on both tanks.. ok , its not a massive amount of shielding as things go, but its nice since its free.. Now, last week, end of raid i have a feeling it was working differently. We were wiping on will of the emperor a bit so i spent loads of time pre-shielding to help us out a bit, i then noticed on the last 2-3 pulls that recount was registering no healing for the shield upon incoming damage being taken from the tanks, which it was previously.. I also think the shield was being negated when used on targets at 100% hp, but about to take damage.. ie, when you expect damage and use heal on a target to pre-shield, or during aoe damage to blanket the raid for incoming damage... that didnt seem to be working.. only once they were taking damage or were less than 100% hp did the shield record healing..

I was a little ill when i made these observations, and judging by the lack of comments on here about it i assume i was having a moment of madness..but i thought i would post in case, you never know, there might be something in it.. or is it recount behaving differently.. or am i mad.

will investigate further tonight.
