i can safley say that i still cant see it correctly. Yes I am assassination as we all should be for pve but still my hit and exp are WAY off.
I have HIT @ 9.82% (3,340) and EXP @ 3.11% (1,059). Rule of thumb is they both need to be ~7.50%. All i could get after 3 runs on raid dummy was 74k max peak and average on 70k. If your quick enough you can see my wow armoury now or even shadowcraft still and click update from armory and reforge (to see there is only chaste to crit reforge (but i prefer haste).
Anyway i reforged my own way. Exp now on 7.50 and changed a hit gem as its a useless stat when i have so much hit. Twice on training dummy and ive hit 101k and 100k dps and averaged on 92k.
Here is my question. Mastery vs. haste, AND PE vs. UF. Ive tried both of these specs, WHILE stacking haste on both of them. Tried them both out while raiding for 2 weeks. What ive found is that depending on what spec you use, is determined on what stat to stack.
Haste and EM works best with UF. And mastery works really well with PE. I dunno. It REALLY just depends on the gear you have, and your what stats you stack, and the spec you choose. I don't know why everyone uses Echo Of Elements though? From when I tried it, it NEVER out dps' Elemental Mastery. Just from what Ive gathered with the gear that I have.
Anyone have anything different??
Hey man thanks for the response!! The first pull, we grab everything and take it to the door. I told the group (It was a pug) that we should forgo the last pull at the door and do the first ones and they didn't seem to like that idea. If I could honestly just pick your brain on optimal setup for challenge modes I would really appreciate it too.
And for the GSS-Pull: Take everything except the last 3 mobs as one pull, and the last 3 mobs as another pull. Makes the whole situation way easier and you should have plenty of time to get enough aggro.
Thanks for the logs. As far as the quote text, my group didnt seem to like that idea for whatever reason.
There are so many encounters that require a significant amount of movement this tier that I feel movement speed outweighs the small dps difference between 175 haste and 140 mastery.
Thanks for replying, and yeah I am kinda torn between the two. Whichever I pick, both will have their advantages but I am still not decided completely. Like I said it doesn't make it easier when top Frost 2H DK's have a mixed choice on the enchantments themselves.
hey guys so a little confused.
my current setup is:
hast - 21.35
crit - 10.52
mastery - 50.53
spirit - 8002
i'm always getting mixed messages on where to reforge to on forums, sites, and in game.
just wondering, is my setup ok? reason why i'm going haste is not only fo rhte extra ticks but also for the faster cast time.
should i not be this high?
looking at top resto shammies in EU and US, it seems they go all out on crit. is this the better solution?
my toon name is rejshaman - US, ner'zhul
The runspeed enchant can be quite significant on movement fights for bot the mechanics and also DPS. If you get to a spot 1 second faster you're getting an extra second to DPS, which means an extra 50-90k damage right there. Given the number of movement fights, the DPS gain from going with the runspeed enchant is better than going for the slightly better itemization.
Let's go on the low end of things and say 40k in that second. If the better itemization gave 100 dps then it would take 6 minutes and 40 seconds for the better itemization to be equal to the runspeed. Chances are you're going to move more than once during the fight though, so that extra DPS time really adds up and could go past 100k, which means you'd need to spend over 16 minutes in the fight. How many Patchwerk fights have there been that lasted that long? None. Stick with the runspeed and make things easier on yourself and your raid by being quicker.
Thanks for the advice. When you put it like that it does seem to really add up especially on fights such as Garalon where you need to move around to legs a fair bit. Thanks for clearing it up for me
Hey guys, I am a LONG time reader and first time writing anything. I read this exact forum on a daily basis, although I do not go back and read again, so if I missed this, please correct me. As far as the trinkets, I have the DMF that I have upgraded once so far and have had bad-luck on the rest, so I am using Iron-Belly Wok as the other. My item level is 491, so haste is definitely a little better than 2-1 vs. strength. On the trinket Darkmist Vortex, wouldn't this trinket be better than the DMF trinket? Even the raid finder version should be better right? My thinking is because, not only the base strength is better, the proc of haste is more than 2 times better than the strength proc on the DMF. Please let me know if I am missing something here. Thanks to ALL of you who provide the information for ret pallys to make all of US a better player! And a special shout-out to Ballhale and Exemplar, you guys rock the stats! Thanks, I'm out...
- Why are you gemming full Stamina?
- Is Crusader your default Runeforge? If so, why?
- Strength on Bracers and Stamina on Gloves, why?
I'm playing 10-Man with 9/16 Heroic. Always looking to improve and finetune for upcoming heroics. Since you are quite ahead of me in progression, even if it is 25-man, maybe there is some crazy Burst coming?
Haven't had any problems so far with a mastery focused build.
