I recall seeing different stats displayed in recent posts somewhere. I also was under the impression that Haste was worth more to Unholy DK's than Expertise as experise only affect white damage correct?

Can someone point me to the post with the Frost Stats Weight are? Thanks!

Edit - After further review, I in fact fail. HST and MST are raid-wide, while MTT is party-only. Apologies to Klejj. /salute

He probably was wrong, but I don't want the discussion to focus on that if possible. Turns out our officer forgot the WWS last night so I don't have another parse yet.

Yes, I confused Mana Tide and Mana Spring. Sorry.
But Healing Stream is raid-wide.
Mana Spring Oh? Group members only?
I guess group can be party only or party/raid.
And I have no idea if Mana Tide is party or raid but probably party.

For any wondering the hard mode really is rediculously easy now on 25 man. Have your best players in the most important spots and carry the other 10 who side in corners or shoot pyrite down. 5 Siege vehicles is perfect for interupting the flame vents AND having each corner of adds taken care of while demolishers nuke the boss. Extremely easy for any guild thats been in ulduar from the beggining of 3.1.

I have spent hours trying to figure out why my DPS is low as an arcane mage. I've read forums after forums, talked to multiple mages and watched quite a few videos. Everything/everyone says my build is right, my rotation is right, I use the right glyphs and my spell power/crit etc. is correct. The only thing that seems to differ between people/forums is the haste. Some say it's not as important or some say its the second most, if not the most, important.
This is my character:
The World of Warcraft Armory
I've tried tweaking my build several times and have continued to upgrade armor. My DPS in a 25 man is usually about 3.5K, which is pretty low compared to what I've seen most full arcane mages do. So hopefully you can help me.

Not a noob, just new to Arms
I have just switched to arms, and have increased DPS over fury, but am still not putting out what I should. I use a charge, rend,BS, ms, OP(if there), Execute(if proc), Slam if everything on gcd.
Looking at quite a few others I see I have higher crit than most at my gear level. Should I unstack some of my crit, and go AP or ARP?

|
Yes, use those two. They stack.
|
2) I use the Rotation: Curse of doom /Glyph of life tap/immolate/ conflagrate/ chaosbolt/ incenerate/ incenerate. ………………… And after? Corruption? Immolate? I don't think immolate because after the second incenerate the effect of the first immolate is not ended. So is better another incenerate? Incenerate till when immolate is ended?I read that is necessary always to be casting something but casting what?
|
You always cast something. For me, I get up CoD, Immolate, Conflag, chaosbolt, incin to fill. Conflag and chaosbolt on cooldown. Renew Immolate as the next spell once it falls off. If I'm moving or think I can sneak in a fast cast between an incin and renewing immo, I'll lifetap or corruption. Never let a partial second go to waste.
|
3) Have I to use or not glyph of life tap in my regular rotation (every 20 seconds)? Or to use only when I have finished mana?
|
I've fond with 0/13/58 that I rarely have to life tap much at all unless I"m getting some large haste buff. Your rotation may differ depending on raid buffs. I'd suggest lifetaping enough so that you're low but not OOM at the end of the fight.
4) My glyph: Life tap / conflagrate /incenerate……. but Is better glyph of incenerate or glyph of immolate? In 2 posts of the forum there are the 2 choises so i am a bit confused
|
No opinion there. I run with conflag/incin/immo, but as 13/58 I just don't lifetap enough to have it matter.

You should never gem AP. Strength is the way to go.
The crit gems should be replaced, yes. That's one think from the guide on the official forums that I'd really, really like to see taken out- remember, that guide was written for 3.0 and not for a epic-geared level 80 warrior. The logic behind prioritizing crit was twofold:
Keep Deep Wounds rolling with guaranteed crit on overpower at 50% raidbuffed crit.
Keep rage high enough to use a move per gcd.
Neither of those are as vital, now. DW does less damage than it did, and the prioritization of str/arp allows you to hit hard enough to keep your rage high even at lower crit values. I would try to stay above 30%, but I'd hesitate to ever gem for crit. You can undoubtedly use the Landsoul spreadsheet to determine a sweet spot but I'd most certainly advise you to start replacing those gems with something strengthy.
As a sidenote- and I'm trying to avoid the "Inspect my armory, what do I do?" thing so much as just trying to offer comments that can be useful to others as well- as an arms warrior with Weapon Mastery, you require only 18 expertise. Anything above that is wasted and it's a good idea to prioritize other stats if you find yourself with a surplus of expertise.

[Vulmir, the Northern Tempest] / [Stonerender]
[Malice] / [Remorse]
[Insanity's Grip] / [Golem-Shard Sticker]
using 15/51/5

Hello,I have a quick question:
My rogue is combat ,has 3900AP and 41.17% crit (with cqc spec,Kalamity+Golem Sticker) .Yesterday I have taken Malice+Remorse.. Well ,Ap is quite the same with these two wep,but should I take sword specialization for 5% less crit?(so 36.17%)
Malice got a better dps (about 179,while kalamity got 171) but the Remorse is pretty similar to the dagger.
Thx in advance for answers.

Your haste is ridiculously low. I have 5 times that amount on my mage. Plus you're in some PvP gear and have bizarrely socketed your T8 gear with spell penetration....
Haste is important as Arcane. Every Arcane Blast I cast is about 0.5 seconds faster than yours. That's pretty huge.

Focus Magic, best class to use it on?
Hey, I was just wondering what the best class was to use Focus Magic on. I have heard that shadow priests are the best in terms of raid damage, however, I would just like to confirm if there is a "best" class to use for the buff.

Yes, my PvP gear I did take account into. I have yet to win a roll for a good head/feet piece. The only reason for that gem was the ones I did really need; needed blue gems which I didn't have.
So hopefully, once I add some haste, everything will improve. I did however tweak my build slightly and got about 3k more DPS than what I had before.

There is a good chance I will be winning [Staff of Endless Winter] soon, and after I have that, I'm not sure where to replace my gear to have the 341 hit cap.
This is my armory The World of Warcraft Armory
I also have [Bracers of Unleashed Magic] that I can swap in for [Grasps of Reason]
If i swap the bracers out, I'll still be 3 hit points short of the cap, and have to gem the hit somewhere. Or, should leave the [Grasps of Reason] and just put 2 +16 hit gems somewhere?
Or does anyone see another viable change I can make? Maybe it'd just be better to keep my current setup and not take the staff?
I'm not sure what to do, can anyone help?

So i just broke my 2pT7 and i can assure u it hurts. I guess this is where the rein of arcane comes to an end It gets edgy when it comes down to arcane vs fire/ttw and 4pT8.
Rocking 737 haste ( 800+ with the head piece from razor), still topping the meters..until all the other mages in guild get their 4pT8s.
MY question is, has any arcane mage gotten the 4pT8 yet and if so, what's the word on it? worth getting or just respec when u get the 4p?
P.S. For Hodir fight. definitely arcane because you have so much more control over your burst and threat its unimaginable. Average around 12.5k dps on hodir every time; no way possible for fire to get that close without pulling aggro unless chain salved.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to what would be the best spec for gimmick fights like Hodir and Vezax? Would it be easy for Simulcraft to model those? In both of those fights it seems that some of the 100% haste gets wasted on deep destro because Incinerate can't be pushed below the GCD so a Shadow Bolt build would be better because it can get the full benefit of that haste. Also, Hodir's Storm Cloud gives you a huge crit modifier, so I imagine a crit heavy build might be really good for that fight.

Spellslinger's Slippers, for Boots of Fiery Resolution, and
Grasps of Reason as wrist, whit Constellus as primary weapon.
And the item that break de set is Leggings of the Enslaved Idol of Freya 25 Hard Mode.

This is the exact situation that Rawr Optimizer was made for. Throw all of your available items into it and it will give you an exact "Highest DPS" combination.
