I did some dummy testing on the PTR to get myself ready for raiding there. From what I found Unholy subspec with Slow (main)/ Fast (off) did the best for me and the Sigil of Awareness, as I suspected, was by far the best of the three choices (new one on PTR only and Vengeful Heart were the others). Of note, the new Sigil has almost a 100% uptime @ 200 strength and it did god awful dps compared to either of the older sigils (in the 3-500 less dps range). To be fair though, I was testing Last Laugh in my off-hand compared to Silent Crusader though, so it's a bit inconclusive if it's just weapon dps or speed that mattered for off-hand, since there is a weapon dps gap between the two.
I tested 13/51/7 and 0/51/20, both with IT, OB, and FS glyphs, for reference.
A bit off topic, but perhaps I'm not alone in wondering what background our resident genius Aldriana has. Are you a coder/mathematician? Autodidactic prodigy?
lol I didn't think that'd still be in the Armory I've logged in and out with my Fury Gear on like 5 times today.
I'm pretty sure I was using '07 when I got the windfury error but maybe its just the 97/03 version. Not sure if Landsoul works on 2 seperate versions or converts or what. Well I tried im not sure if the 03 version would act differently if opened with 07 software so I'm probably done trying to figure this one out.
Knowing this may be the wrong thread to post this, but from my testing on the PTR, I know Unholy is still iffy due to UB being bug'd, it seems that Blood will be on top for the most part of 2 handed specs/DPS with T9, no set bonus, and the new sigil.
The DW build may out DPS it, but I haven't had the chance to try it first hand. All I can say is that patch 3.2 might be good for you Blood DKs.
I see many people now a days that are equipped to high end ulduar gear fully gemed with armor penetration, can you please tell me if that's decent or exactly why they do this? Is it the next level of geming? (im pretty new to elitist so im not sure if this has been disgust)
Hi im a first time poster on this forum.. Have been reading here for awhile now..
I was wondering if any could try out the 26/45/0 spec? i personally dont got good gear. I got pre-naxx and naxx 10 items and i did 3k dps with it.. I did it with slow/fast with fc/fc and unholy presence, HOW and 5 stacks of frost vulnerability on the heroric dummy..
My Experience was ( ok, my gear is not that good ... BUT ) my dps went up with SoA and NOT with the others ( SoV was worst ).
My Ob counted with ~35% No. 1, Fs with ~27% No.2 in recount. Ok, i knew it before, im buffing Ob now and not Fs, but in the same way my dps go ~300 up!
It still was on a Dummy and so on, but the difference still exist in an Raid-environment ( imho ).
Rotation with all sigils: it-ps-ob-bs-bs-(fs dump)-ob-ob-ob-(fs dump) on rime-procs hb ( prioritized ) .
Equipment: armory :: but with this helm, this neck and this mh / oh (slow/fast) and finaly these boots
Edit: Mh (cg/ri - nearly the same results) / oh fc
Anyone got similar results, or is this just b/c my equip is not good enough to support the other sigils?

i know this dosent show how the spec is but, i think its worth trying it..
I changed yout spec into http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?deat...&version=10026, running a rotation like OB-OB-BS-BS...RPD...6xBS in UP. Its basicaly the same philosophy like 6xIT machine gun.Not sure tho if its better than running a standard double disease frost rotation like IT-PS-BS-BS-OB..RPD..OB-PS- IT-IT-IT cause in the first case running a 6xBS rotation produces 120RP per rotation and in the second case u produce 170 RP per rotation (if im not mistaken).
Is there a chance to try this out and evaluate its worth ??I am still w8ing to copy my char in the PTR.
I'm a troll MM. I recently got the Magnetized Projectile Emitter. Up until then I have been using Siren's Cry. My only question would be is the MPE better than SC if I don't need the hit? I would think SC is better for the troll racial, just not sure if one out weighs the other.
First off: use the Spreadsheet.
But on the topic: I am Troll Hunter as well. In both specs, SV and MM, Siren's Cry is for me at least best non-Hard Mode Weapon. It is even better than Skyforged Crossbow. That's how potent that Racial is.
could somebody check my character out and tell me which frost spec of those 3 would be best with my gear/stats. Im currently blood and wanted to try frost out before the next patch.
Characters name is Yourdemise
realm-Shu'halo
Guild-Swords and ale
if u could also post the best glyphs for the spec u recommend it will be appreciated.
Thanks for these numbers eredor, been thinking about finding a second point fo threat reduction for a while now. Just noticed a couple unexplored options that I hope you have time to take a look at to see how they compare to the others:
1) 1/2 Demonic power
2) 2/3 Demonic Aegis (technically makes the build 0/12/59), probably one of the worst options but for completness it is an option
I'm currently sitting at 645 ArP, for 52.37% "mouseover" ArP, 62.37% in Battle Stance. When GT procs, I'm about 10% over the ArP cap, wasting a chunk of the proc.
I plan to get additional ArP upgrades in the near future, including Drape of the Drakerider, Bitter Cold Armguards, and Twirling Blades. This will be an additional 114 ArP, a grand total of 759 ArP.
At what point of passive ArP does it no longer make sense to use GT/MJR, and to use Pyrite Infuser/BotOG instead?
OR
Would it make more sense to continue using GT/MJR, and just gem some ArP back to Str to try and maintain a lower level of passive ArP and thereby not waste such a huge chunk of the GT/MJR proc?
I understand that this could probably be answered by Rawr and/or Landsoul's spreadsheet, but I can't get Rawr to work on my Mac, and my version of Excel is rather old and I get a ton of errors w/ the spreadsheet, in addition to not being able to load my armory profile.
This is what myself and the other rogue say. I constantly bring up the fact that he doesn't even have a rogue over level 1, but he's just ignorant. If my dps is low I'm blaming it on my mainhand, one of my rings and my blue trinket. I consider myself a good player and have devoted 99% of my wow playtime to my rogue as I have one alt. But yea, I never thought to even ask him for the parses of these amazing rogues. Moreover, it's not even 8k on a specific fight, it's just "Tell me why don't do 8k dps and don't blame it on gear." Kind of silly, I know, but thought I'd get some opinions here first as you should be able to see my gear. And this feral has always had better gear than me anyway. RL just has unrealistic expectations right now and DPS is not even one of our raids weakpoints - it's actually pretty high from what I can tell. He's also a resto druid and is not agreeing with the feral nerf (go figure).
Other then ITx6 what is currently (pre 3.2) the most competitive frost spec and rotation? Single or double disease and 17/51/3? I am usually Blood but got Sigil of VH and wanted to give Frost a real shot.
The Future of Unholy tanking builds.
-Unholy tanking to me was how I did trash, DND/UB/BB was more than enough to keep me miles ahead of my guild's overzealous dps and AE classes on all things AoE. Without UB I fear that the AE superiority that Unholy enjoys will go by the wayside. With its already "meh" single target threat (mildly buffed by the new UB mechanic) Unholy to me is no longer a really viable tanking spec.
Unfortunately this leads me to believe that the only option left to me is Blood. Still capable of high EH pools and enough self healing to take a little bit of the edge off of those fights that have healers biting their nails, Blood is looking great. Still the highest Single target Threat and now capable of enough high dmg BB spam to hold decent AoE aggro It looks like that is the way I will be going.
Seems like it'll have great aoe threat (15 sec DnD, strong diseases, strong Blood Boil), solid single target threat, Veteran of the Third War and stupidly high magic mitigation. You can take a point out of desecration if you've got a snare available and put it into AMZ, too.
It still needs to be raid tested though, so I'll report back when I can find a decent Naxx pug on the PTR.
Ok so I've been a reader for a while, first time posting, with that.. here goes.
I've been Arms since 3.1 and have been gemming ArP since I hit 30% from gear but I'm pretty sure I have the gear to go Fury now. I've decided i'm gonna go Imp Cleave spec but is rage regen that big of an issue? I'm still unsure whether or not I need to regem all my gear to +Str or keep the ArP. Also still a little unsure whether or not having 50% ArP w/ a Grim Toll or Mjolniir Runestone is good or if i should get more as far as going past the cap goes...
Were people honestly expecting Blizzard to make 20 (30 when you include Season 7) completely different models of gear this patch?
Yes.
Blizzard is getting millions of dollars from their players on a monthly basis. I expect them not to recycle art for a major contect patch, even if they will have to spend a few thousands on artists.
The guild to Wotlk for rogues is very helpful for PVE. However, I am starting to do some PvP. What is a great pvp build that uses daggers, as I have sinister's revenge and murder? Also does the stronger weapon go in the mainhand? Where does the faster weapon go? What poisons should I use? Enchants? Gems? glyphs? Tyvm.
I just RE-speced my ELE shaman into resto. Im aiming into making him really good at Healing in raids for single healing and multiple healing. Im just wondering on wat stats to stack on or have the most off for example: haste rating, intellect, crit strick, mana regen etc. And i also need some guidance on the enhancements ,enchantments and wat kind of gems to put on my gear. I would appreciate any help or tips.
