I'm curious as to why you took 4/5 deflection as opposed to monster slaying. its pretty obviously a PvE build, outside of those parry talents. btw nice dmg on brut, and i'd kill for a sliver or dst to drop for us, sigh.
Here's what we did last night on brut, kinda curious as where SV tops out at on dps.
my guild is currently 5/6 in sunwell and we are working on KJ atm. our best attempt so far stranded at 49% (our first go in meteor phase).
i have been cookiecutter BM spec since TBC hit and didnt really care to read up on other specs
my guilds raidleader last night asked me to look into speccing survival in order to boost raid dps. we used 3 hunters, 3 rogues, 2 dps warriors (or 1 dps and 1 prot), 1 enhancement shaman and a feral druid.
since speccing survival means i lose serpents swiftness i have no idea what would be the best macro / rotation for me to use. i can look forward to a group consisting of 3 hunters a feral druid and a shaman where 3 or 4 people are leatherworkers.
i use a 3.0 speed (golden bow of quel'thalas) and the only other ranged weapons i have black bow of the betrayer (also 3.0) and sunfury bow.
First off I would like to say I've read all the initial and very recent documentation on this thread...
My guild has recently began work on M'uru and due to the strict raid composition requirement I found myself falling behind on healing at times, frantically spamming HL to catch up on healing the Sentinel tank while healing the near group's side tank as well.
Until now I have always been socketing and gearing for spell crit, but now I can see how haste would come in handy but I am very worried that it will impact my mana efficiency. Obviously, the faster you cast, the more mana you lose but in conjunction to casting faster it will also proc more Illuminations dependant on the amount of spell crit spent for haste.
With the gear to offer so far I don't have many options for haste, as the book off twins and leggings off felmyst will most likely end up in the hands of a shaman first, which it should. So socketing for haste would get me from ~50/60 haste to 130/140 haste rating which to me isn't a very effective use of gem slots. I believe until I can get the pieces with haste on it I can possibly see a higher return on HPS as a 100 boost in haste only seems to yield about an extra 100 HPS on HL's.
My question; Is there anyone in the same boat as me or someone who has experienced this dilemma and have any useful advice to share? Thanks.
I recently had a personal best as well, on Brut as survival.
I did 2235 dps with one hero. My group comp was 3 bm hunters, me, and a resto shaman. If any of you guys see anything out of the usual please tell me so i can correct it. Wow Web Stats
Well, even with may be getting an infrigement. With stating the above by in a blue post on beta forums, this is fundamentaly different from Blizzards usual policy to say nothing till it is nearly completed. From my point of view they have opened Beta too early in their development stage. Correct me if I am wrong, but we had changes during TBC beta but not as wild as he is suggesting in the quote above.
During TBC, Blizzard did not have any real competition. Warhammar is due to be released soon, Blizzard wants to hold all existing WoW player's interest so they don't take up Warhammer. Plus look at what Blizzard is doing to attract new players with the new mount and "leveling buddy" promotion. That said, my brother is in the WH beta, he told me that is isn't anywhere near ready for release.
