Hey. Just a few thoughts really. Currently we roll with a perma Frost DK in raid with imp Icy Talons and constant Horn of Winter. In this case i have decided to go with this spec:

The World of Warcraft Armory

Dropping Enhancing totems (due to horn of winter) and also dropping imp wf (due to imp Icy Talons).

I figured that i would drop the wf glyph and go with LS as aoe dmg in Ulduar would obv re bound onto bosses via this.

Basically am i doing the right thing in glyphing LS instead of WF?
Am i right to believe that WF and SoE totems DO NOT stack with imp Icy Talons and Horn of Winter?

Your thoughts would be great.

Since I use an ingame Addon called "pawn" to compare items and looking out for items that are best for me on "www.lootrank.com", I need to know the AEP-Scalings for the Holy Priest.
I read the thread and I am aware that spirit, int, spellpower, crit and haste with the postet Numbers are a good goal to reach. But i'd prefer some raw Numbers. I only have the 3.0 Scalings:

• Int: 1.55
• Spirit: 2.23
• Haste: 1.26
• Crit: 0.85
• Spellpower: 1
• Mp5: 2.85

Hope someone can help me to get these stats up to date with the 3.1 live for Holy Priest.

Hello there everyone, Orixanan of Terokkar here. I've been lurking the forums for a bit and Ive taken hte liberty of finally signing up.

So Ive read a lot about Arms and ArP vs STR, and so far from what Ive read, ArP is superior to STR in large amounts, but in lower numbers STR is better. Is this correct?

As 3.1 hit I specced back into Arms and swapped out all my STR gems in favour of ArP. I also kept my Jawbone and specced into Maces. However, Im noticing that my DPS still dropped from pre-3.1. I used to be at the top of the charts, now Im averaging 3rd/4th with my guild and like 10th when I PuG. Is this due to my ArP numbers still being too low, my gear rating or is it just because the rogues/hunters/mages who top me got more powerful?

I have my Nobles Deck and Im waiting to turn it in at the next faire for Greatness, and Grim Toll hasnt dropped any of the 6 times Ive been in 25 naxx, so...hopefully next week.

Any advice or pointers? I feel like im missing something....

hey all thank you for all the insites ..... ill get right to it i switched my main not that long ago to elemental .. and i just started running 2v2s with a rogue , who understandes how topeal of a shaman i do have 2 questions .. first what should my haste be ? .. second is realy a problem im having desiding to replace my valur pants .. i realy dont wanna lose the hit off it and if i gem for it .. im a jc.. ill lose at least 32sp .. anyone have a sugestion ? or is that extra resis not worth all that ? im at almost 590 resis ...i can move higher while we move in the ranks ... what can i do? And with the new changes to warriors I'm having problems with their charge and their immunity while ww, any suggested stratagies against them ? Sorry about my bad spelling ..

as most of you, I respecced into Arms with 3.1 hitting the live realms.
I did some test-switching between mace-specc and poleaxe-specc but up to now I lack a comparable sword for sword-specc.
Did anyone test sword-specc out and can me give a comparison from Sword<->Mace<->Poleaxe ?

hey man ive got a frost dk tank named addr on thrall, duel wielding a broken promise and red sword (blah blah), ive noticed that most dk's usually use a 2h weap. for tanking which is all well and good but i want to promote the usage of dw for 2 main reasons. First, there is no such thing as a defensive 2hdr so even with your gargoyle chant your still missing out on tons of defensive rating, therefore being able to gem and chant your gear with things other than defensive stats huge bonus no?, also your giving yourself two whole extra equipment slots that will stack not only def rating but hit and parry as well something else you loose out on if you use a 2h, survivability through aviodance and damage mit are crucial for every tank espically with the new content that just arrived and in order for us dk to survive in an uludar world we must conform Secondly ive noticed that even though dnd and rs are great for "burst" threat, your tps is much more consistent and I usually top out other dk's (and even a few pally's) on tps, and really I dont know if the parry glyb is a myth or not i dont care I still rs every 5 sec pretty much on the dot.
Rotations:
single target mob
it ps hb bs bs (rs if you haven't parried by then i mean common) hb ob ob runic burn fs rs

multiple target mobs
dnd it ps pes tab hb bs tab ob ob hb (2seconds of downtime 1sec between pes and hb 1 between bs and ob1 usually filled with rs or fs)

Finally, frost is the shiznit for surviving the fights and keeping great agro imo, no you wont ever to dmg like a unholi but now that moonkin aura and ep dont stack your really not helping your party out. And blood is nice to with all the healing you can do to yourself but I ask myself if doing maybe 2-500 hps going to help me out at ALL for some of these uludar fights? When things are blasting me in the face for 7k a sec dots? no. In the end everyone should play the hell out of however they want to play, just thought id maybe throw a new idea your way. Having two diffrent pve-specs might seem like an easy and good choice however in terms of gearing the diffrent specs prefer diffrent stats. So then it comes down to either gearing or two specs. This might be an option but I think it's too much hassle for the benefit. This will force you into gearing for a certain spec thus making that your "mainspec" and to decide which of your two specs to make your mainspec you'll have to go here and ask which makes the best dps.

Thus we have this discussion.

is it me or is rawr sometimes way off? its saying items with crit which are 100% for sure not better than what i have... are more dps for arcane. maybe im not using it correctly at all?
