I play on a Mac and as such I can't run the spreadsheet. I just got Ironsoul to drop and can't decide if I should stick with my Cryptfeind's Bite and Poleaxe Spec or Switch to Ironsoul Mace Spec. If anyone could run my numbers for me and tell me which would yield higher results I would be thankful. And i can redo the chant.

Axe spec > Mace spec but your polearm is a 200 DPS against 212 for Ironsoul, furthemore you have not the ArPen cap so I think IronSoul > Cryptfeind's Bite.

I will just test it out myself in Ulduar. I can hit 5.2k dps with my current setup so unless I get below 5k Mace Specced then I will revert.

one small change noted in the updated patch notes was

Blood-Caked Blade: The damage from this talent is no longer normalized to weapon speed.

and for some specs in particular this is now a added bonus and a small buff. so i guess the patch isnt complete doom and gloom,

Hi all, quick question about gemming for pvp and pve as a marksman hunter. I've read on the wow forums that +32 AP gems have higher priority than +16 agi gems? would anyone be kind enough to explain why I would want to go more for AP gems as opposed to agi? It seems like agi would give me slightly more crit , a chance to dodge, etc. thanks very much for any feedback you can provide.

Hey so I'am having problems breaking over 4k dps with my ele shammy and i think im more than over geard and see undergeard locks and mages putting out 5-6k in 25 man uld. my shot rotation is normally FS,lvb,cl,lb,lb,lvb cl, rpt.
The World of Warcraft Armory is a armory link to my character. plz if any 1 has any good advice about gems or and enchants or rotation info i would be very greatful. would love to break 5k dps if at all possible. on my server there is no ele shammys that break over 5k

The answer is going to be sim it. EnhSim is going to give you the best answers as enhance can have highly fluctuating values for gems. Some shamans are seeing values for haste that make it the gem to use, while some are still showing AP as the gem to use. Agility is not as good as either, so the AP gems you are using are fine.

You can most definitely run the spreadsheet in Office 2004, which you can have concurrently installed with Office 2008.

Question pertains to short ranged fights as a Combat spec: (Heroics/Farming etc)

the typical rotation is:

1. Sinister Strike to 3+ Combo Points.
2. Slice and Dice.
3. Sinister Strike to 5 Combo Points.
4. Rupture.
5. Sinister Strike to 5 Combo Points.
6. Does Slice and Dice have >12 seconds left? If yes, Eviscerate. If no, Go to Step 2.
7. Go to Step 1.

but with short fights (trash etc) I should skip Rupture and just keep building combo points for Evic, is that the better idea? (not the brightest bulb, sorry)

poisons:


Mainhand a sword or fist weapon of generally slow speed.
Offhand a sword, dagger or fist weapon of generally fast speed.
Mainhand Wound Poison, Offhand Deadly Poison

but with short fights I should just go ahead and not use wound poison but use deadly poison on both weps?

and my last question is:

the MH for combat the time on it doesnt matter but you want the biggest Damage not actual DPS on it, correct? and OH u want fast as possible...

oh one more:

is there a MH sword/Mace anywhere u can get with emblems from heroics ( Ive seen the OH ones but no MH)
