I'm currently Mutilate spec (51/13/7) but have been noticing for the majority of encounters it may be better to be Combat. I'm an active PvP'er so I want to keep one of my specs PvE and the other PvP.

My current gear set up is 4pc T7 and 1pc T8. I have Calamity's Grasp/Golem-Shard Sticker for my combat weapons. My main concerns are.
1. What glyphs to use.
2. Which poison to use on my MH
3. Primary gem choices
4. 15/51/5 vs 18/51/2

AND........ Glyph of Conflagrate redesigned: When you use Conflagrate, the damage done by your next 3 Destruction spells is increased by 10% for 15 seconds if the Immolate on the target has 5 or fewer seconds remaining..... so we will probably see alot less destro locks now.

We just saw a round of destro nerfs...so I am wondering where this came from.

Can anyone see a way to capitalize on the new changes? Nothing comes to mind except for timing Conflag. Which...doesn't capitalize since most people do that now to capitalize on the last round of changes...

So with conflag updated do we actually gain back 10% damage (Live 70% of immolate's ticks) (Patch 12/15 secs 80% immolate ticks). So roughly we lose 15% damage on immolate, 5% loss on conflag (80%-15% immolate loss from F&B) to gain 30 % damage on incinerate. Furthermore the way it reads, it will only give you that 30% damage increase on incinerate if YOUR immolate is up so we can't even conflag 3X incin if another lock has immolate up we MUST put our own back up. YAY clipping immolate below the global is FUNNNN.

And then the glyph of conflag nerf... well yeah enough said i dont see how they think this will buff our damage as destro, but I haven't seen the sims yet, one can only assume it will go down though.

Destro: Make sure you cast Chaos Bolt with the 10% damage buff up
Demo: Conflag / Molten Core / Decimate builds look like they could provide more dps, but it just makes the rotation harder.

That 145-169 is affected by spellpower (not sure on the coeff though) try it out on the target dummy, with immolate on the target - I get something like 700 extra damage on incinerate with immolate up. Still, these changes seem to make destro more complicated while not providing much (if any) dps increase.

You can also consider that you can use [deadly throw] (if you need to) if you have Rising Sun

If you count the glyph change it's probably a damage loss considering you are now consuming the last tick or 2 from Immolate.

EDIT: That wasn't a fair comment to make since the glyph also gives you 10% damage to the next three casts. I think it will probably end up about break-even.

So far for a bloodelf/goat (no racials which help with weapon skill) The BIS I am still able to confirm in rawr is the following setup which I noticed was not in the OP. This set INCLUDES leather. Assuming a JC and BS. This was orginally posted by another member. Sorry if this seems newbish, but didn't the Conflag Glyph USED to make Conflag no longer consume the Immolate on the target? If so, is that gone now so we have to reapply Immo after using Conflag?
