I have a question about hit rating that you can please feel free to delete if it is incorrect or stupid. I currently have 341 hit rating, and when I mouse over it it tells me I have exactly 13.00% increased chance to hit. Do I not need an extra point, or is the paperdoll displaying a rounding error? Alliance Shaman, to save you looking it up.
Well, if you don't have a Shadow Priest or Balance Druid in raid then 13% is the correct amount.
However, if you have a Shadow Priest (Misery) Balance Druid (Faerie Fire) you would only need 10% hit (?? bosses)
I still can't get over the feeling that GC things incin does (base damage + spell power * coef) * (1.25 if immo on target) when all the testing shows it does (base damage * 1.25 if immo is on the target) + spell power * coef. So if I'm recalling the coefficients correctly, there's a difference of 0.2325 * spell power between the versions.
The conflag glyph revert is interesting, but I'm still not sure if the other changes are a dps gain or loss. We lose 15% immo damage, conflag stays as it is on live (immo loss counter balanced by the move from 70% to 80%) and gain ~200 damage per incinerate.
Looking at a random WWS of us in Ulduar10, I see my immolate did 2,303,069 damage over the night, so losing the 15% costs me ~300k damage. I threw 1040 incinerates. At 200 xtra damage each, thats only adding 200k. So I think its a net loss in dps at the moment.
we didnt loose 15% immo dmg, we lost that immo no longer benifit 15% more from our sp. so yea if what gc says its correct that its a dps gain
lets say uncrited incin deals 4k dmg with no immo , then with this talent it will be 4000+ (4000`0.55) = 6220 dmg with immo + talent? if my math is correct that means they changed they way immo increasing the dmg of ur incin.
(i have the fealing my math isnt correct or gc screw up somewhere since this will make us op)
but on live all i see is the base dmg increase for incin.. only an avrage of 200 more dmg if immo is up.
what is the best burst/low time frame spec for locks as in ulduar there are alot of hard modes for which affliction is not so hot. mainly what would be the best spec for hodir hard mode where u have about 119 seconds to kill it and with the changes in 3.1.2 it would seem to be a destro build. thanks in advance for ur answer
I apologize if this has been asked before in the thread, it has gotten fairly big. I am speced 54/0/17 with 2 talents in Imp Agony as well as the CoA glyph. On the dummy, however, I am getting a 100-150 dps boost by using CoE instead. Whenl I hit the execute phase with drain soul, CoA seems to do the 100dps back over a CoE execute. Is anyone else finding similar results?
