hello, i haven't been on the forums for a min and was sifting thru them to see if i can find an answer to my question. pretty much i dropped scorch glyph to pick up glyph of living bomb. my only problem is getting the stacks up before the boss or mob is dead. my question is when is a good time to scorch and how many stacks actually makes a difference. if you can point me to a thread that explains it or give me some kind of idea i would appreciate it 10 folds. thx for the help.

I have a lame question.
I am gearing my first alt, a DK (like many rogues...) and i plan to make him a tank one day. (i really had enough of being overlooked class as a dps, and i am 6 - 10k depending on the boss, pugging however) .
Back to the question, they are 2 in fact:

1. While doing heroics, which is the best spec? Assume blue gear.
I know what the different spreadsheets are telling me, but its not really applicable on mobs that just die within 15 sec, or bosses in 1min.

2. While tanking heroics or low level raid - naxx, os, voa - which is the best spec again? Assume defense capped, mostly blues. Which will make me look good and get me invited, if i dont suck as a tank?

People are geared nowadays, but a lot of them still fail.
In full greens i managed to do 3.8k as frost on the dragon Satharion in 25man, and ended up the second best dps for the raid, with everyone else in full t7...i was laughing for an hour or so after that.

However, when inviting, gear score is the most looked at, for some easier raids, they might look at HP at least. I know blood will give me max HP even in 3.2, but i have been reading here how i need really good gear to be Blood tank. Assume i have the required awareness, so picking up mobs does not tilt the scale in favor of unholy.

I am scouting for a new eu-horde guild at the moment. Your recruitment post is very appealing. Kudos for the amount of details in there. Before I put any effort into writing a thorough application, however, I have a few questions to ask about the details you have provided in your post. Please answer them here because other attempts at getting the information have failed for me.

Firstly, how far are you with Alone in the Darkness attempts? Accompilishing this kill is the final way for guilds to acquire a point-based-rank score on wowprogress before patch 3.2 and I would love to know how your guild is doing before I apply. I have tried asking some of your members in whisper by creating a level 1 character, but they all seem to have addons that block low levels from talking to them (anti-spam/anti-gold-selling I guess). Have you managed to enter phase 3 yet? Are you close to a kill?

Secondly. have you farmed Algalon 25-man since your first kill? A closer look at wowprogress reveals that it was this kill that granted you the decent world ranking. The world of logs parses I found for your guild (Magheridon-Operation Eskimo) indicate 12 algalon heroic attempts but no actual kill on the 29th and 27th of july (these dates span two different raid resets). I found these here World of Logs - Real Time Raid Analysis. Are there kill reports elsewhere or did you actually not kill Algalon for a few weeks now? This is a bit unclear to me as a possible applicant. World of logs and your official website its dkp page show your first kill was on the 8th of july but ever since you have not killed Algalon again. Your official dkp seems to be here Operation Eskimo - Magtherido.EU DKP: Raids Listing. Strangely it shows only the first kill algalon entry, but many raids since which suggests it is being kept up to date.

Have you even looked at the available glyphs? Coming here and saying "I'm thinking of using these glyphs, is that reasonable?" at least shows you've put some effort in to finding answers. Same goes for the stats question. You could have found the answer through google in less time than it took to write your post.

I know questions about gear are really frowned upon, but after reading 90% of the thread, I haven't seen an answer to my question and I really don't want to ask this question on the wow forums as the amount of misinformation passed around that place is ridiculous.

Recently, I acquired 4 pc t8. I have the gloves, head, pants and shoulders. I replaced t7.5 helm and gloves with the respected t8 pieces and am very uncomfortable with the massive haste loss. I went from 520 to 390. Also, this has brought me over the hit cap by a fair margin, which isn't a huge deal to me as we sometimes lack a spriest or boomkin in our 10 man raids. With this gear switch though, I had a 2.5% gain in crit (not including 4pc t8 obviously).

My question is:

Is losing all this haste counteracted by gaining 2.5% crit, another 5% crit on incin from set bonus and about 30sp? Should I use spellstone to get my haste back up to 450 or continue using firestone?

Thanks in advance guys. Sorry again for the gear question, but after lots of testing with both sets I can't figure out which is more beneficial; hoping someone else had this issue already.

Long time reader, first time poster.
I earned a lot from JC in past several months and have decided to invest into buying titanium ore, managed to get around 500 stacks so far. Price I was buying for was around 100g at the begining which went up and stabilized at around 150g per stack. There were pretty much the same amount of ore that circulated trough AH, around 10-15 stacks per day. But recently, in past 10 days maybe, the amount soared all of a sudden. There's bunch of Dccmmh, Sddkkh or Brrdd farmers that started to put more than 40-50 stacks @ Ah per day. Price went down and I was able to buy 15-20 stacks per 80g sometimes and rest for not more than 100-110g...
I wonder am I doing the right thing buying them all? My ally side of the server isn't exactly heavy populated (opposed to horde which is 70% of server for sure) and I am afraid that this amount of ore, if they continue to put this much, might affect epic gem prices and I might face heavy losses. Any advices?

Im not sure if i missed it in a previous post b/c i scanned the 20+ pages quickly, but does anyone know if our old badges and emblems will be converted into the new currency? Or will they just become worthless with the changes? Or maybe we will be able to trade them in for the new currency. And will all vendor items that take heroism or valor currently be changed to where you can only buy them with the new currency? Thanks!

All your current emblems remain as if.

Conquest emblems can still be converted to Valor and Valor to Heroism.

You'll buy everything with the same emblems as before, the currency used to purchase eg. T7 is not changed.

You will also get Feats of Strength for your loot X Emblems of Valor and Loot X Emblems of Heroism achievements.

So guys i have a problem. Wednesday i have a very important test-raid. Actually i am using the 2-disease-rotation. Iam very happy with it. But my (maybe future) class-leader suggested that the 6x IT Machine Gun rotation is better then the 2-disease rotation. So i ask you guys, what do you think is the best rotation with my gear?

I mean where are the pros and cons?

Get it into the addons folder. yet it doesnt work to either write /fbn or in the interface/addon option in the main menu.

I really enjoy'd reading through this, ganna run off and revive my 31 druid, however i havn't played one in ages and i was just wondering how the Itemization for Balance + Resto (offspec) had changed if at all?
Could anyone help me with wat i want most and then some, should be 60-70 within the week, 70+ stats would be nice.

Has anyone actually calculated how much health bears end up with ilevel 258 gear. We're looking at Head-slot gear with 153 stamina, and that's without any gems or enchants, gloves with over 100 stam, etc.. I'm guessing that there will be some nerfs to bear health again. How about the new dodge nerf that increased the amount of agility needed for dodge? Will gemming for dodge actually be worth it? Now that 3.2 is hitting live(tomorrow?) would like to get some info about these things.


Been looking at the leather pieces for Kitty druids as well, seems like the tier9 gear doesn't have any ArP so guess that's what we'll gem for until capped again. The tier bonuses seem pretty weak tho, sure the 5% more crit could be nice but can't beat Clearcast procs of Rake, any thoughts on that?
