Hello, I know this isn't technically a theroycrafting question, but what are (generally) the best addons for a raiding (or otherwise) retribution paladin? I am using Rawr for the upgrades, and of course Deadly Boss Mods, Omen, Recount, Auctioneer, and Questhelper for those odd daily quests I can't remember. I used to raid fairly regularly with these, but after a five month hiatus from the game, I am just checking to see if I am being as efficient as possible.

If this is not the correct post for this question, can someone point me in the right direction?

First post in this thread lists some commonly used addons. There's also another thread under paladin forums that's labeled "Ret FCFS Rotation Helper" that has a nifty addon you can use as well.

I think Ghostcrawler won´t bring up a "right" solution for us..... he isn´t smart enough....

He just don´t feels with warriors, he will bring again something that the community don´t wants.

Let us see, i am right. GC is the worst milestone in wow game design.

Your link is to an empty spec. However, it sounds like you've got something almost identical to the standard Destro build (0/13/58) but have made some possibly bad choices. The extra 2 points in Demonology you've got can't be getting you any damage increases and from the sound of it you've given up Empowered Imp to get them.

And then you haven't taken Demonic Power from Destro which is another DPS increase which you've skipped for something mysterious which you don't need.

Hello, i'm having trouble choosing my weapon and i thought maybe u guys could help me out. I now have "Ironsoul" from Flame leviathan and today i got "Hoperender", i really dont know wich one i should wear. suggestions? sorry if this is plain stupid question but some in my guild says different answers...

I am from twisting nether and a lot of mages have suggested Arcanum, do any of you use this and what does it do?? I tried to install it but it seems bugged?

Check out the addon Opie. I swear by it. Coupled with a G15 keyboard (provided you dont spill wine all over it and break it) is any mages dream. Personally, i have a ring for my tradeskills, portals, tele's, i used to have an itemrack ring, and my mage armors. All accessible at the click or press of a button.

Hey guys. I seem to be having a hard time doing good dps. Im FFB atm because I don't quite have hit cap for Fireball. Im having a hard time doing much over 3200 dps raid buffed with food and flask.

Char link is The World of Warcraft Armory

Im keeping scorch up and then my priority is LB>Pyro>FFB.
Any thoughts?

First off, please read the stickies at the top of the forums above all else. Next, take a look at the first page of this thread for info on glyphs and rotation. Download RAWR. The Optimal Set/Item Discussion thread will also be of help. Off the bat, you're gear isn't very good, depending on the fight your 3500 dps may be appropriate for your gear level.

A few things I noticed:
- You're using the wrong meta, use the Chaotic Skyflare Diamond instead. Not sure why you thought 2% intellect is good.
- Gear. Some obvious choices would be to get another cloak like the Deathchill Cloak, or a badge cloak
- Missing the Glyph of Living Bomb. Even if you have to be on scorch duty, I think the LB glyph should be kept over the FFB one?
- And you are wearing some PVP gear...

Huh? It doesn't matter if your pet does exactly the same DPS as you do and you do 50% of "total" DPS... the pet threat doesn't matter when it comes to pulling aggro for you. Only your threat vs the tank counts, not your pet.

Empored Imp does affect your DPS slightly, though.

I am currently working on running every epic, non-PvP non-Glacial etc. epic at level 80 currently in the game through a program I wrote based on the scale factors here present for both Affliction and 0/13/58. The program is going to calculate the dps value of all of these items (including crit/SP bonus from metas, but not including 3% crit damage, only 2 heads in the game don't have meta socket). For hit, since there is no scale factor listed (I'm assuming this just become a bigger dps per point as your gear gets better, 1% of 7k dps is more than 1% of 5k dps, and the hit cap is there) so I am just making a note of the actual hit rating beside them. Trinkets are not being calculated as their effect cannot have this formula applied to them, and there is already much debate about them anyway. I should have both lists finished by tomorrow night at some point, but I unfortunately need 7 more posts after this one to start a new topic.

Why is Shadowburn included in the 3/13/55 spec? Based on spellpower coefficient and it's base damage, it isn't worth its DPCT below about 1.4k BUFFED spellpower. So basically, if you're raiding at level 70 in kara-level gear it's worth it. Why is it in this spec instead of other choices?
